  Honestly I don’t mind how he died and how the character were made to treat them by the creators since the characters are VILLIANS but it would have been cool if he was cured from the mind control and decided to help out the suicide squad before retiring from being Batman for killing people or mabey Harley would have given him a reason to continue being Batman I dint grow up with his games but playing Arkham knight really showed me why people care about him a lot especially that version
