  For good reason, it doesn't work properly. It is unsave, so it is not allowed. If you want self driving, take a bus, taxi, uber, train,... when you are driving, you have to pay attention!

  This just happened to me....same exact thing...just got the 2024 X and didn't realize that the car had to be unlocked..couldnt get the charge port out and just by luck unlocked the car after a few minutes and tried again and it worked before I saw this video...Unreal how Tesla would not make that a priority to tell a new Tesla owner ( 1st Tesla purchase) coming from a gas powered car..absolutely crazy ...anyway..great video thanks !

  The video may be misleading. Both of my model y and 3 don't have the red light on their cameras. I ended up calling the service center to find out if they are HW3 or 4. It turned out they are both HW4！🎉

  My sister is getting a new model Y soon. I'll be sure to check to see if the cameras have the red tint or not. Maybe it's something they've changed 🤔

  It appears that's the case currently. I wish you could like double tap or hold down on the passenger side to turn it off. Will probably see this in an update at some point

  Open the menu, there should be a "lights" option, it might be in there, but not sure. I haven't driven an X

  Does it give you an option to display/set temperatures in Celsius, even if you’re in the US of A, and your speedo and ODO are set in miles? (My wife is from China, and I’m “Scientifically-minded” so I’ve gotten to where I think in Celsius.)

  Yes click on the car icon on the bottom left hand corner, then click on display, then scroll down until you find those options 👍

  You can also do this for drag racing. If you have a performance trim, and want the fastest possible drag time , gotta heat the battery up for your run.

  There's also a car wash mode that's even better than just putting it into neutral. You can find a car wash mode in the controls menu

  If your Model 3/Y Cabin Overheat Protection (COP) would not turn on because it's too hot: 1. Turn off Sentry Mode 2. Using app, enable Cabin Overheat Protection (toggle to ON) 3. Set to 95 degrees F (100 F saves energy, but 95 works better. You can set to 100 F later when working) 4. Vent windows using app (this is optional, but recommended on very hot days) 5. Turn on AC using app and cool the cabin for a few minutes (wont work if cabin/monitor is already too warm) 6. Turn off AC using app at 75 F (setting a low temp gives COP time to kick in before temp exceeds 95 F) 7. Using app, check if COP is working (app should display "Cabin Overheat Protection") * If COP is active and working properly, the temp should not go beyond 5 degrees of the trigger temperature. Give this comment a thumbs-up if it works for you.
