Best video ever! First day was a struggle. My brain always wanted to play straight 16ths .. the down beat was a struggle. To get that switch to triplets… It’s day 2 now and I got it !! Just patients go slow and keep watching the video.. I’ve watched it at least 20 times now. Time to practice and master it !

Finally one of yours i can do straight off the bat. The old john otto matthews bridge beat is another good work single pedal workout, even if i feel incredibly old saying that.

Hey ! Just had a question regarding foot technique. Do you bury the beater while playing and face any double triggering? I’ve had the on and off issues of getting double triggers whenever I bury the beater. May I know the bass drum parameters you’re using ? Love the sound of your kit and amazing lesson as always ! Been following you for around 10 years now ! Cheers from India !

Hi thank you so much for this video. I have a question that I hope you can help me with. When I slide my foot up there is that friction sound. How do I avoid that?

Don’t press in to the pedal as you “slide” up too much. Flatten the angle of your foot and your toes should automatically end up further up the pedal board. 👍
