    Excellent Video. To see how this line was is brilliant. I didn't join the Railway until 2015, and this is one of my routes as a conductor.

    Wonderful memories of some of the best boxes I ever worked in. Looking at the Wateringbury box, it’s strange to know that my locker is there in full view and that my stuff is actually there……if only I could touch into the screen lol plus seeing my old nemesis too Mr Grant. Mr Salmon at Maidstone too And ooh those crossing bells at Aylsford, oh the memories

    Dad was a signalman at Wateringbury for many years between mid 60's and mid 80's spent a bit of time in the box myself during school holidays, though I had to duck down from time to time just in case! 😂.

    This brings back memories of my dad and myself when I was 4 or 5. He would take me for a train ride along the Medway valley line, it was only when I was older I found out that he knew I would sleep well that night!!

    The hatak won because its not one we have seen before the reason for this is that for these ships were to meet it would likely be in the 23rd century giving the goauld just under 300 years to advance. The goauld also had a head start.

    Intrepid class has better shields,warp speed,phaser coverage,computer systems,sensors. Defiant class has better phaser power,torpedoes... In star trek online both ships are tier 4 so its an even battle.

    Seven-Captain their using some kind of tachyon beam to attack us. We can't hold out much longer. Maybe if we used the deflector array to emit a tachyon pulse we can tachyon their tachyon. Janeway-If we tachyon with some tachyons we can tachyon them into submission. ----as far as i could tell, the plot to every voyager ever.

    @CobaltX07 I was more meaning the potential for the generation of an unrepairable subspace tear that would destroy the Earth. As for ramming, there was at least one quite large crater on the cube which I wouldn't doubt was caused by that, and Worf was about to ram the cube, and I'm pretty sure sacrificial tactics are acceptable, and I dare say expected, of Starfleet crews, as seen in a number of episodes across all series.

  • @Synthmilk
    @Synthmilk13 жыл бұрын

    @CobaltX07 Hmmm, my headache has affected my ability to estimate, a quantum would be around 200 MT, so a T-C would be around.....five times that? As for why, we only see the battle in Earth orbit, and as T-C devices are subspace in nature, the risks likely outweighed the rewards in the eyes of Starfleet Command. In the Dominion War, Starfleet was still bound by it's own code of conduct, which prohibited the use of subspace weapons.

  • @Synthmilk
    @Synthmilk13 жыл бұрын

    @CobaltX07 Photon torps are limited to ~64 Megatons, yes, however quantum torpedoes are approx twice as powerful, on average, and Tri-Cobalt warheads are indicated to be significantly more powerful in terms of destructive potential, as described in a few of episodes, as well as the ST DS9 Technical Manual, however the likely upper limit is perhaps equivalent to 200 megatons (based on descriptions of damage potential).

    @VIEW8472 what im saying is when you begin with a comparison of two sci-fi series, or in fact two series in general, the only mechanism that can be used to compare them is reality itself. the two series must be put to the test of reality and where the meet kept and where they diverge removed. in this you have two products which can be compared, otherwise they are two products which have their own physics, own universe, and in which the main characters cannot die.

  • @VIEW8472
    @VIEW847213 жыл бұрын

    @tuseroni and this is sci-fi .Stay real or you'll go crazy

  • @tuseroni
    @tuseroni13 жыл бұрын

    @VIEW8472 but in reality it does, and if you are going to wholly divorce yourself from reality you have no grounds on which to compare the two series and the whole practice becomes completely pointless.

    @tuseroni In star trek size means nothing just ask the Borg and species 8472.

  • @SoulSeak
    @SoulSeak13 жыл бұрын

    @SoulSeak Also the weapons are different too. They arn't just missiles with warheads. Their basically focused nukes. What I mean is. Picture a nuke but instead of having the explosive energy blast open a huge radius, in voyager, that whole nuke gets pointed directly at a single point same net power BUT none of it wasted on thin air. Last the reason why in the star trek world their are no fighters is because the phasors don't miss unless the enemy ship jams the scanners. Fighters can't get away

  • @SoulSeak
    @SoulSeak13 жыл бұрын

    Actually I think the Federation ships where more powerful then most of the stuff in Star Gate. Think of it. The humans where able to fight off those ships using just fighters and rifles. The weapon systems and shielding is more advanced. The shields can match the opponents weapon and if it does it can absorb it completely with no damage. In star gate they made no mention of multi phasic anything. Which means they can only shoot one frequency.

  • @ChuUnthor
    @ChuUnthor13 жыл бұрын

    A) we can't see your shields/weapons or any of the tactical screen B) The Prometheus did not use the MVAM. I too like the Defiant more, but it really stands no chance against Prometheus.

    this was too long for what a short fight that would be. also where were the death gliders? a goa'uld mothership gets its name because it has a lot of fucking ships.. also for a size scale for those who dont know, the pyramid at the top of a goa'uld mothership is the size of the pyramids at giza. that being said voyager is, i believe, 1-200 meters longer than the yamato(WW2 aircraft carrier) big, but no mothership. a fight would involve a blitz of death gliders and a barrage from the mothership.
