17:49 on Haje there is a statue of only two czech, or more precisely said, two czechoslovak astronauts, from which only one of them was actually in space back in 1978 - Vladimir Remek. The other one was a substitute for Remek. Btw. Remek was a first astronaut in space which nationality was outside of USA or Russia (Soviet Union/USSR). ESA (European Space Agency) refers to him as the first european astronaut in history... and just to ad, in the close proximity to the metro station Haje was a multiplex cinema, called Galaxie (galaxy)...
Oh, great information! 🧑🚀👩🚀 that’s really cool 😎 thanks for commenting!🪐✨
About the river, its muddy and darker when its heavy rains up stream, there were some floods in germany earlier this year, river is darker than usual
Ahh thanks for commenting, that makes a lot of sense 😎
Vienna is alright. Not my type of city, so much, compared to Prague. Bratislava I like a lot. It's like a baby Prague.
Yeh I pretty much agree with all of that tbh 😎 love Prague, Vienna is cool but it doesn’t have that je ne sais quoi ✨ for me. “Baby Prague” is coming up in the next episode haha 😆🙌🏼 🇸🇰
Its really not. Its better han half of the countries
Yeh it’s definitely a cool little city! 🇸🇰😎
very well explained video.thank you .
Thanks very much! 😎🙌🏼
Did u validate the ticket again for metro or u just did it at the beginning I mean at the bus station
Just validated it at the start of the overall journey (at the bus station). The machine prints the time/date that you started the journey on the ticket, so you don’t need to do it again at the metro station. 😎
@@n1ckburt0n thanks a lot
you’re welcome 😃 have a great time in Prague!
Nice! 🙂 Don't forget other transport options, you also have a suburban rail network in Vienna. For example, near Seestadt you could walk to Aspern Nord where suburban trains (Schnellbahn) and other local / regional express trains stop going to Stadlau (U2), Simmering (U3 near Erdberg) or Hauptbahnhof (U1). However, the Schnellbahn trunk line (not this one) is also disconnected for maintenance this summer - together with the U4 line - which angers many commuters. From Stadion you could also have used the miniature park railway Liliputbahn to get into Prater park.
Oh a lot of great information there 😎 thank you! Haha yeh, a lot of commuters were getting angry/frustrated on the day I filmed 😋 I think the heat and humidity add to that though 😂🤭 gives you less patience to work out other transport options. I just googled the Liliputbahn🚂…now that would’ve been a fun option!
You came at the wrong time to explore the Vienna Metro system, it's a mess till the beginning of September due to maintenance and new building if 2/3 lines. 😅
lol 😂 yeh summer seems to be a time of chaos for a few metro systems 😝 not just Vienna…I suppose it at least gives me a bit of drama for the videos though haha 😆
Excellent and clear! Thank you! Only thing missing was how to pay for the tickets / trips.
Thanks very much 😎🙌🏼 you can pay at the machines/kiosk with cash or use card on the ticket barriers 🚇
This was a whole MOOD! 😅😂😝 Big thanks to everyone who’s been liking 👍🏼 & subscribing ✔️ really appreciate you all! 😎
Gracias 😊
De nada 😀
Is amazing city and total love it
Yeh I had a really nice time there 😎
Bratislava je špinavá diera a vždy bude
lol ☠️ 🕳️
Why are you walking most of the time instead exploring the Green Line completely? Even walking from the Royal Gardens to Hrandcanska Station makes no sense at all.
What doesn’t make sense about Royal Gardens to Hradcanska Station? They’re pretty close together 👀
Thank you for the video! It’s clear and useful. How long does it take from Erdberg to Bratislava airport and is the only two stations to take to go is Erdberg and Vienna airport?
Thanks very much 🥳😎 happy it was useful! It should take between 1 hour 20 mins - 1 hour 45 mins to get from Vienna Erdberg to Bratislava Airport. It depends on the time of day/traffic how long it takes. You can board at Vienna Central, Vienna Erdberg or Vienna Airport for the bus journey to Bratislava Airport 🚎
i wonder why arent u famous? you literally make amazing videos
Wow 🤩 thanks! That’s a very encouraging comment 😃 Guess I just need to keep making videos & see if it takes off 🚀
Thanks very articulate and well explained
Thank you very much 🙏🏻 🤩
@@n1ckburt0n Hi Nick could you also share their website please
Sure ✔️ www.flix.com or www.flixbus.co.uk…I think there are a few website variations depending on which country you’re in 🚎
Hi there.... Bus 119 does not exist anymore its now TR59. It still goes from the same place as the old 119. TR 59 is now an electric trolley bus (hence TR). Hope this helps anyone in the future. 👍👍
Thanks for adding that update 😎
I was in Bratislava few years ago for a New Year's holidays. It was nice, but really boring. We were staying in a reasonably not that bad, but not so good hotel with payed breakfast and dinner. The tables, the curtains, the decor and the menu were exactly the same as 40 years ago in hard socialist times. That brought up some beautiful memories. The old town is nice for a little walk, clean and boring. The rest of the city is kind of cold industrial stile, clean but very boring. Tourist attractions are scarce and boring. Anyway, I wish you a nice boring vacation in Bratislava 😊
Haha 😂 a very thorough review 🖊️ I’d already been to Prague & Vienna on that trip so Bratislava was kinda the nice/boring/chill vibe I needed at the end 😝
Good job, Nick; thanks...
Thanks very much, Vladimir 😎🙌🏼 …appreciate the positive comment 🥳
Great vid! Spent three days here with my partner and loved it. A decent amount of stuff to do/see but also a perfect place to relax and not rush around as much as you might with other city breaks.
Thank you! 😎 Glad it was an enjoyable watch 🙌🏼 Yeh your comment pretty much sums it up, enough to do & a perfect place to relax 🏰🇸🇰
You do černy most, Rajska Zahrada and Hurka, but you don't do Palmovka and Holešovice? Do pidele kamo 😉
lol 😂 normally people say this on the Prague Red Line video 😉 Černy Most - I always do end stations Rajska Zahrada - Quirky platform design Hurka - The metro tunnel and lake area Holešovice is on the red line so it’s in a different video 😝 & no specific reason for skipping Palmovka (the weather went a bit crazy that day lol) what’s in that area? 🤓
Enjoy Bratislava. It's good you came in summer, in winter it can get very depressing…
Yeh I’m glad I came in summer ☀️ although it was realllly sweaty 😥😝! I guess everywhere is a bit depressing in winter 🥶
@@n1ckburt0nit’s a eurotrip movie quote
lol 😝 never seen that movie 🎥
@@n1ckburt0nyou need to check it out. As a Bratislava native, the way they make fun of our city, it’s beyond hillarious. My 3 teenagers were laughing their asses off.
@@89itis sounds like I need to give it a whirl then! 😝🍿
Cool! Parque was always my favourite Lisbon metro station. Designed like a Paris station but with fascinating, mysterious Portuguese art and poerty on the thousands of tiles. As if the station has a secret messge hidden in plain site that you have to decifer. They don't make them like that here in Toronto. Cheers.
Yeh, Parque is such a cool station 🚉 Lisbon metro is full of absolute gems! Haha there are plenty of places that don’t make em like that anymore unfortunately 😝
You did well to find the above ground sections at the western edge of the yellow line B. I enjoyed your attention to detail in the film.
Thanks very much 😎 yeh I thought the western edge was trickier to find interesting things at first definitely. I’m really glad you enjoyed watching! 🥳
Speak to the lens not the screen. You need to engage with your audience. It looks like you're talking to people behind me. Huge mistake
Noted 👀 you never know who’s out there though, maybe there’s some I don’t wanna look at 😱
harsh... I thought it was fine
@@gsuk28 It doesn’t engage with your viewers, especially if you’re watching it on a big screen, they look like they’re talking to someone way off to the left. All best broadcasters and KZreadrs LOOK DOWN the lens
@@markylon that may be true, but I like the natural way he presents in this video. each to their own, I guess
@@gsuk28 it would make it a million times better.

Different strokes for different folks 😉
Travelling the world is so beautiful, yet some want to start a world war. :/
Completely! 😶 It’s such a shame that every country isn’t so peaceful & easy to visit 🌎✈️
@@n1ckburt0n :(
Had such a great time in Prague 🥳 🇨🇿 look out for Episode 3 👀 coming soon…
there is no such thing as a boring city. There is only a boring human visitor. No one runs away from himself.
An interesting take on it 🧠😎
Try Lyulin the bedroom of Sophia 200K population favellas Lyulin de Janeiro
Interesting name for it 🫢🤣
@n1ckburt0n o ye with the pretty good competition of the rest hoods outside downtown but this one is still the largest
@n1ckburt0n also try Pernik city the world capital of VW particularly VW Golf with preference of VW Golf 2. Only VW Golf, FC Minеr Pernik & metal stick there nothing else matters!
@@udififkfkfck I just googled Pernik, maybe I’ll check it out sometime 😝✈️
I have a small correction to your pronunciation. When it is Nádraží Veleslavín and Nádraží Holešovice, it is always read as "s" and "c". The fact that we use letters like š, ž, č and ř does not mean that they are pronounced everywhere. :) It's Holešovice, that's all. Not Holešoviče. I understand and I know, you tried to talk about it maybe for the first time in your life, the effort was, now you know and you will tell your friends about it correctly. See, right? :) ;)
Haha thanks 😎 if I need to say them again I’ll know 😝 or at least I’ll get google translate to say it and try to mimic that anyway 😋
You see Teletubbies hills, I see garbage from construction that they were lazy to remove. 😀
Haha 😆 I’m looking on the bright side…for once 😋 they’re definitely quirky anyway!
Had to re-upload this video 📹 due to background music issues ☠️ feel free to show it some love again in the form of likes ♥️ and comments 💬
As an Englishman living in northeast Prague who takes the C line from Letňany every other day, this is so delightful and surreal to watch. Great video!
Thanks very much 😎 really happy you enjoyed it! Definitely one of my favourite metro lines to adventure on 🚇 lucky you getting to live in Prague, it’s such a great city 🇨🇿😍
1:58 that's deff not the right pronunciation but not that terrible lol
hahah 😂 thanks…well, I tried 😝
roses are red, violets are blue, trains, trams and buses come in all sorts of hue ;) my playlist #2 is about transportaion
Hahah 😂 nice, I’m here for it 🎶🎧

@@n1ckburt0n Have a great day.
@KenanTurkiye thank you 😎 you too!
Good narration, good video and Boro bus station was upgraded in mid July 2012
Thank you! 😎 What did they do to it during the upgrade? 😝 I don’t remember that, but I’ve lived abroad a lot over the years 😃
@@n1ckburt0n I’m pretty sure it was more accessible access for the disabled
ahh fair enough 🦽 that’s always helpful 🤩
@@n1ckburt0n to be honest I’ve been binging your videos and I’ve subscribed they are sooo entertaining and it makes me wanna go to Vienna and prauge it just looks so fun apart from the heat 🥵🥵
@WilliamsF1-forceIndiaf1-fan Haha 😎 that’s awesome! Thanks very much 🙌🏼 To be fair those were filmed in summer, so it was scorching (and even the locals were saying it was a full on heatwave)…they’d be much more comfortable in other seasons. I bet Prague would be amazing for Xmas markets 🎄
just use your visa, amex or mastercard, 1st if you travel more than 3 times a day in tube, bus, tram, regional train you will be charged just 4 levs, but dont forget to tap every entry or exit { at some station}
Good advice 🤓✌🏼
Well, when you have Wien, Praha, Budapest and Krakow within half a days journey by car to choose from, Bratislava is quite plane
Yeh I would agree that there’s more going on in most of the cities you mentioned, but also I think Bratislava is cool for a short break & as a connecting point for these other cities.😎 Usually far cheaper to fly into/out of Bratislava than Vienna too. ✈️🤑
@@n1ckburt0n Well, i think Slovakia is in general more interesting in terms of mountains and countryside, cities not so much. When you have the chance, visit Krakow or Wroclaw, i strongly recommend
@@BughunterX I would definitely be interested to visit more of Slovakia 🏔️🇸🇰. I’ve actually been to Wrocław & Krakow before 🇵🇱 beautiful cities. I need to go back make some KZread videos in both!
To even consider Bratislava as a more boring place than Milton Keynes is a personal insult to the entire population of Slovakia.
Haha 😂 agreed, not sure how they came up with that Top 10 list…so random!
Not the most boring city but probably capital city
Oh yeh definitely plenty of boring smaller cities 😝 as for capital cities…I guess it’s a good reason to visit them all and find out! 🕵️♂️😃
@@n1ckburt0n have you been to Liechtenstein or San Marino yet?
Haven’t been to either of those yet but pretty much everywhere is on the wish list 😄😝 are they really boring though? 💀
In your opinion, what are the most boring cities to visit? 😝
Definitely some American cities
Haha yeh even that list had two American cities as the Top 2 😄…gotta say I love NYC though! 🇺🇸🗽
Dallas, Texas 😂
lol 😂 what’s so bad about Dallas? 🤠
Come and find out 😅 jk don’t. Its so flat and there’s no real attractions or worthy landmarks
I could have watched 10 hours of this
That’s awesome! 🤩 I’ll have to start making them longer then 😁
Super helpful, I was born there and planning a visit after 20+ years so this video was very reassuring; thanks!
Really happy it was helpful 😃 it’s pretty smooth & easy to get from the airport to anywhere in the city that’s close to a metro station. Have a great time in Sofia! 🇧🇬😎
What happened, man ? Did you wait for the statue of limitations to run out ?
I will be visiting next week and was wondering if Prague Transit, to city center, is still free for senior citizens (65+) with valid passport. Also as a senior would I have to purchase a ticket for my luggage. Will be staying at Hilton Prague Old Town. the Thank you.
pid.cz/en/discounts/ Prague transit is free for over 65s, you’d just need proof of age if you got asked by a ticket inspector. I assume if you’re travelling for free, they’re not gonna charge for the luggage either 😄

What about Prague airport to the Florenc bus station?
Either take the bus shown in the video & then take the metro green line to Mustek and then change to yellow line to Florenc Or take Bus 100 (from the stands shown in the video) to Zlicin at the end of the yellow metro line and take that to Florenc
