I stuck a wet paper towel under my wig this last week! It helped with keeping me cool. Ha ha
What a great tip! I had someone else say they stick their wig grips in the freezer! Love some good tips!
Also, a frozen baby wipes in a zip lock bag under the wig helps me to keep cool while wearing a wig in the summer. ☀️

It just takes time to get used to wearing wigs in crowds where people know you. I was nervous and even asked people if they liked my wig. One lady asked if I liked it and told me that was all that mattered. We don’t owe people an explanation.

I wear human hair wigs all the time. Once you get used to them you never want to go back to synthetic. I started with synthetic. We are worthy of the better quality human hair pieces.
Absolutely understand, but synthetics definitely serve a great purpose and for many, is the only thing within budget! I love both my human hair and synthetic pieces for different reasons!

The OnPoint application of shaded biscuit is very warm on the one I have and it looks the same on yours. The wavy day application of shaded biscuit is a very cool icy blonde. I had editors pick on iced latte macchiato and it was very warm with minimal highlights. I keep seeing it look so light and bright on some reviewers, and, it makes me want to order it but I’m hesitant because of the one I got on editors pick.

I am a newbie looking for my first wig and because I can only afford one wig, at least for now because I don't have the income for it since I was paralyzed from an accident in 1990 when I was just 17. And, because of my disability and all of my meds, stress, and now menopause, I am searching for the perfect wig, especially one that resembles my hair and color. I have been learning about wigs and toppers, have never purchased one yet, but was just diagnosed lichen planipolaris and will most likely loose my hair.,. I noticed that you have a good bit of bio hair, are you currently doing a minoxidil or something similar, or nothing at all, and if you are using medication, does the wig interrupt hair growth?

I will shout this from the rooftops for as long as I have breath in my lungs. Wigs changed my life. The confident woman you see here? She wasn’t always this way. In fact, she was far from it for the majority of her life. My hair loss journey has been a gradual, agonizing, gut wrenching process that has spanned almost two decades. Most of that time I fought it…I took the vitamins and supplements, I bought the serums and products and potions. I tried everything in my power to hide it from the world around me….and I hated how I looked every step of the way. I never felt beautiful or even worthy of confidence. But 3.5 years ago after I had my 2nd child, an absolutely precious little girl, I decided that I wanted her to have a mom who didn’t cringe every time she looked in the mirror. I wanted her to see a mom who was confident and BELIEVED she was beautiful, no matter what her hair (or anything else for that matter) looked like. That’s when I decided to buy my very first wig….and my life changed. I didn’t give up on my hair loss, I took control of it. By accepting that I could never change the outcome of my hair loss and allowing myself to fully embrace wigs, little by little I started being able to do the work on the inside too. Wigs gave me the room to grieve the loss of my hair in private without the panic of the world seeing the change day-by-day. They allowed me to have the dream hair I had always wanted but knew I would never have. They slowly gave me the confidence to show the world around me that hair loss isn’t something to feel ashamed about. They opened the door to new opportunities for me to connect with so many amazing women who, like me, have struggled with hair loss. They’ve given me friendships that I’ll carry with me forever. They’ve allowed me to share my hope with other women who may not be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel quite yet. This is exactly my journey also. I'm just a year in on wearing alternative hair and it gives me such joy. All of it. Shopping, watching reviews, researching. Then. When it arrives.... Such a thrill! I just wish it wasn't so taboo still in our society. People act sorry for you when they hear you have hair loss or they tell you you look fine regardless. Psh. But I don't look AMAZING or FEEL amazing like I do when I have on a long luscious wig! 😆 Why must I suffer (or "just rock what you have") with stringy thin short hair when I can have my dream hair? It's crazy the mentality. 🤯 Thank you for helping to normalize wig wearing and for helping us make the best choice/s.
