  Bijan for men was a very powerful masterpiece, unfortunately it had many reformulations, but the 1987 one slightly changed its character in favor of an even greater power compared to 1981. The "trouble" arrived at the end of the 90s.. The same fate that befell another great male Giorgio B.H. First version, excellent, second l version, very powerfu , third version "water"

  That will be tough for me to remember because it was a vintage bottle that I no longer have. And this bottle would no longer be in production. I will try to figure it out. I will let you know if I do.

  I just saw that it is sold out on the Zoologist website. This is very expensive, but seems intriguing. Their website has a bunch of samplers, so that might be a great way to try some really wacky absolutely different fragrances without dropping a full $200+ dollar bottle. BTW, I am impressed by the note breakdown on fragrantica, it has a lot going on here.

  The initial spray is like Kouros, like I said it changes after that. Only the initial spray is similar to Kouros. Always try before you buy. This one is not a cheap scent.

  Had a bottle of the original formula back in 94....I was 18 at the time. I was constantly re-applying because i was hooked on the opening, just as you mentioned. The bottle didn't last very long as a result. Loved it. One of the most popular high- schooler fragrances of the early 90s was Drakkar Noir... this was of the same era, and similar in appeal, I think.

  You are absolutely right, excellent perfumes, the particularly summery "blue" series has excellent products, "cipresso Toscano" is one of these like Bergamotto di Calabria , but nothing dry down, the strange thing is that the colognes last longer, "Colonia" , "Colonia pura " "Colonia essenza " but they cost much more, Greetings from Italy

  I feel your pain. This one is great refresher, think of it as that , decant and carry. Short lived indeed. They also have scented lotion you can get, also pricey.

  What's interesting is if you were around when Kouros hit the scene (I was a young teenager) it was the cologne to have. It was classy, had a pedigree, had no competition for its scent profile and it was expensive. It is what all the young men wanted; yes the young men in their 20s! Fast forward just a few short years and Kouros was still popular but guys were wanting something more "modern" going into the mid 80s. This is when the other "pissy" animalic fragrance released that all the young dudes had to have because it was the embodiment of the new 80s! That fragrance was BOSS (no No.1 in the name at that time) by Hugo Boss! It was the updated cologne that every 20 something had to have believe it or not! This era of men's fragrance was coming to a close but we just didn't know it. In a couple years colognes like Fahrenheit, Cool Water, Eternity would forever alter the landscape of men's fragrances and as they say, the rest is history!

  I'm a Tunisian, i was working in Libya in 2013, and found in a store the second formulation bottle with one stick 100 ml ! i wasn't even interseted in it that much because it was M7, but bcoz i heard of it to be the last YSL fragrance back then, and i know YSL very well, they made always very good fragrance like Jazz Prestige (my first YSL frg), Kourous, Opium etc .. I didn't like it in the beginning with that kind of Syrup smell or something, but after 30 mn the smell changed completely and l loved it. Fun fact less than two years i found in another store the vintage one but a tester already used so i asked for a try, and i noticed that the "Syrup smell" in the beginning was not that powerful like in the scd formulation but the dry down was better, but in general i still liked the scd formulation more, wich i still have it till today (75%). We as arabs muslims we already use oud kind smells, amber, musk etc .. to go to mosque .. so believe it or not many thought that it is a normal Amber smell and were not even interested in it, that is why i found that 2008 batch code M7 bottle in 2013 in the first place, and probably many existed in different stores in Libya, while it was rare in other places in the world ! bcoz people were not buying it that much in Libya. I just want to add, that i had read once in Fragrantica someone saying that when he asked by e-mail YSL website about the oud in the Vintage one, they said to him that it was the synthetic Oud, means no real oud even in the Vintage one. (Based on him of corse)

  Tuscany was an excellent perfume (vintage version) it was part of a family that at the end of the 70s began with Azzaro, Ebene, Charles Jourdan, rive gauche p.h. Perhaps even before that it was Brut by Fabergè who inaugurated that path, Tuscany had leather which diversified it a little from the others but that was the concept. great scent, thumbs up

  I have a vintage Devin, and the gentleman's collection version of it. I'm frankly blown away by how good a job they did, i really wish i knew who the perfumer that did the reformulations was. i will tell anyone that if you cant find vintage Devin for a decent price, don't be afraid to get the gentleman's collection version. the bottle i have lists oakmoss on the ingredients so it may be pre 2013 but it also by default has to be post 2009. i also have a GC formula New West, and although i haven't smelled vintage New West, i can tell you the newer formula is excellent on its own. p.s. Jerrid, as far as i know the whole gentlemans collection is indeed discontinued, which is disgusting and a shame. im sure theyll still put out the original aramis though. great video

  @@jerridpowley2709 I like the box and bottle presentation. Pleasant smelling summertime fragrance. Very fresh and citrus with mild clean musk and oakmoss. You'll need to go heavy on the application (10-14 sprays) for a good hour projection and 4-5 hour longevity. I'm glad I picked up a couple bottles as I dropped into Shoppers today and this fragrance was sold out.

  I think Michel Germain is a Canadian fragrance house (or was) until I believe they changed their name to Jean Marc Paris fragrances (Sexy Secret for Men?). In any case i don't have this and I don't think I'd be interested in it.
