I'm a videographer always striving to learn and improve my skills. Lately, I've been trying out new things with this channel relating to video essays and, hopefully, more live concert videography. I work full-time and do various freelance jobs, so I don't have a consistent schedule for content. I have some ideas cooking if you're willing to stick around :)

This band makes Slaughter to Prevail look and sound like ABBA
Glad. I found this video & could be the 666th like🤘
Hell yeah! 🤘😈
Februus is THE 'THALL' album!
Fantastic video about a fantastic band. Really well sourced, too. You've earned a new subscriber!
this is a damn good video
I think Chat Pile has taken over the mantle from Daughters as the new best noise/industrial rock band on the scene
chat pile good
The tortured vocals really add to the album’s sledgehammer raining down on its listeners to put it lightly, only really seen on stuff like Weakling’s Dead as Dreams or Swans’ Public Castration, and it hits like a freight train with the crushing and noisy sludge atmosphere. I hope these guys have a long and successful run, I live for music like this
Watching your reviews after the chat pile review. Then I saw you recorded science penguin live. Great channel
Thank you! The guys in Science Penguin are awesome. We also interviewed them on the Sound Check Podcast.
My professor just recommended this album to me taking notes on it and im using this to help learn thank you
That's awesome!
i was at this show! thanks for this video and the breakdown video about gods country. great work.
Thankfully, and lucky for all of us, Chat Pile has seen such amazing success and support that they've been able to go on tour several times. I got to see them in SF at the Great American Music Hall, and they were brilliant.
I really think you should listen to sprain “the lamb as effigy” its an extremely emotional rollercoaster which ends on a mental breakdown
Such a great video mate 🤘 Februus is one of my all time favourites, and im so glad to see others like yourself showing the album the love it deserves 🙏🖤
As much as I adore this album, its so impactful you need to be careful how much you listen to it
chat piles instrumental work has quickly become one of my favorites ever. The Mask specifically will never fail to get me pumped out of my fucking mind, the opening riff is so damn good.
amazing work! 👏
I was at that show. Accidentally headbutted a dude in the nose during the Chat Pile set. Caught Covid. Fun times. I love Nerver and Chat Pile. First time I ever moshed too. It was a fantastic show.
I always considered Pamela to be paralleling evangelical Christian fervor for the end times, apocalypse, and rapture. "RESURRECT MY SON!" Hits me every time like a brick. You turn to televangelist's right now and they're all excitedly preaching for mass death in the middle east to fulfill a prophecy.
great album great video
😕 "promosm"
Excited for them to play in outbreak fest this yr
I absolutely LOVE this video but I do need to make one correction Brent...Luther Manhole is the guitarist and Stin is the bass player, not the other way around.
Aghhh! I think I had it written down correctly, but said it wrong and didn't realize
Brother, your video is off the hook! Thanks for doing it! I am Purple Man too!@@BrentLinaweaver
This is practically a concept album for me. The decay of Americana, rising mental health crises - it's got an awesome message.
I love the song where they ask why do people have to live on the street. And it got me thinking. Yeah, empty buildings all over the place yet no one can find a place to live.
Recently there have been groups of graffiti artists that are cooperating to tag buildings like that in cities. These buildings that rich people own but don't live in. Just use it like an asset.
@@BrentLinaweaver it’s amazing they’re like parkour artists or do they get into the building? do they climb the side of the building ?it’s fascinating. You don’t have to answer me lol.
@@leodawn5913 I'm not 100% sure. I've read some comments that theorize they made some kind of DIY rappel system lol
@@BrentLinaweaverunbelievably based for them to tag those homes
this rules man, great job
This is my favorite album of all time. Thanks for covering this.
thanks for that video Brent
the new daughters
Chat Pile are an Oklahoma treasure
lost my entire sense of self watching this
Awesome video. Very informational
Slaughterhouse is actually about slaughterhouses and the abuse of animals, as well as a metaphor
An amazing album, easily my album of the year for '22. My heart genuinely goes out to everyone else who fell in love with this album/band due to being able to relate to a lot of the lyrical themes.
This is why KZread is good. One of the best videos I’ve ever seen on here, well done
As a foreigner living in the Midwest, I'm completely obsessed with this album
Great analysis. The quality of the video, editing, and voiceover was also really good, comparable to bigger essay channels
incredible video
God I wish I could see them live if they ever come through my state, that bass sounds nasty! Also, I think they had the image of the car running into a building because they joke on their twitter about how "The two main types of people who live in OKC are stomp-clap mega church yuppies and people who regularly crash their car into the side of a house." and constantly post screenshots of recent headlines whenever someone from oklahoma rams a car into a building lmao
Thank you for the insight! That's fantastic 😆
Awesome video and badass album. Just saw them live in SF. If anyone gets the chance to see them live, do it. They sound amazing and are super down to earth.
^w^
One of my friends showed me Pamela in school and I didn’t think anything of Chat Pile, I listened to Slaughterhouse after but I never really listened to them fully. I didnt think someone would go in depth of Chat Pile.
Es una puta lástime que la gente no tome en cuenta el lado profundo en la música de Meshuggah. "The music slaps". So? There are other bands that slap too! I'd change it for, the music slaps so the lyrics.
I was there!! In the front row!!! I was a dummy and forgot earplugs and my hearing was absolutely fucked for about a week. Absolutely worth it, but definitely learned a lesson as far as protecting my ears goes lol. They’re definitely my favorite band and the show was incredible. I went absolutely feral ❤
god damnit I miss going to shows.
I think he just woke up one day and made something beautiful. Nothing complicated.
Somewhere on youtube, there’s a video montage of a Norm McDonald stand-up with Chat Pile in the background and I will be forever grateful for this
GOD'S COUNTRY THIS IS WAR 🗣️🗣️🗣️ 🔥🔥🔥 🎧🎧 Wait. Wrong artist.
For me, similar to Daughters, its comforting to hear someone else sees the same shit I do when I look at this country.
Yes! I thought the same regarding Daughters.
