I prefer my Godox V1.
What soft boxes are you using for that speed light?
@@HenrysCameras Godox S2 bracket (to accommodate the round head) to a Godox/Neewer 24"x24" collapsible softbox.
@@KobieMC Ah okay makes sense. I wasn't sure how people were making the round head work with a soft box. A couple people I asked just bought it as a bare head flash and never bothered to attach anything to it.... Then there's me who can't go without a collapsable beauty dish :P Good to know you have a solution!
@@HenrysCameras The S1 bracket is for standard flash heads, the S2 bracket came out the same time as the V1 and accomodates ALL flash heads (there's a plate at the bottom of the bracket that can be taken out to accomodate the V1 flash head). It's worth getting no matter which flash you use. Bowens mount compatibility and all.
Small correction - the cooling grip doesn't suck the hot air out. It pulls the outside are into the vent at the front of the grip, then exhausts out the vent on the side of the camera body near where the port covers are located. So, it is moving hopefully cooler air across the heat generating elements of the camera and then that warmed air is vented out of the camera through the body.
I hate myself. I wish I can just do that but it feels weird putting a different lens on a Leica body even it has L-mount
Would you know if it can do automatic focus stacking using Flash? I know the R3 was the only R that could do it. Hopefully the R5ii also has that capability
I didn't see that in our presentation but it is possible I missed it!
@@HenrysCameras guess we will have to wait and see. I’d be shocked if they didn’t include that feature which is very important to product photographers, especially since every other brand has it.
@@fotofx9589 100%! it's pretty annoying having to do all the work yourself! I am always like... Alright we are just taking one shot F16 and calling it a day. Close enough! hahah :) But of course the pros need to go the extra mile and I get that!
@@HenrysCameras exactly and if I’m going to upgrade and still have to focus stack manually, well I just don’t see the point. At least in my case scenario.
Fingers crossed hopefully it has that feature. It would be perfect with that high res sensor.
The Canon EOS 3 had eye autofocus 20 years ago... the tech is not new but it's likely much improved in the R5II
Correct! Seems like it, but more tests needed! I guess there is a way to kind of reset it to your eye and then the camera makes adjustments as you use it! Really cool. Would love to see what that looks like longer term.
Not just the EOS 3 my A2E was the first canon offered the eye control on and that one predates the EOS 3 by 6 years
@@Rockdoon There's a throw back! lol.
Around $1000, sir?
Check the channel! We made the $1000 video a few posts ago :)
lol the fact that you didnt say the z6iii when it is the best camera for youtube is crazyyy
Maybe worth a second look! What do you like about it?
When you say Henry it's music to my ears.
Pretty sure Fuji doesn't save total shutter activations but I've been wrong before.
They certainly do. It's something we consider when grading our used gear we purchase from customers. I also have owned many Fujifilm cameras over the years and ran up the shutter count on a few models! They can take a beating but this one must have sat in a closet for awhile!
Those dogs are more photogenic than me 😂🤩
Sigma glass is ridiculous. #sigmagang 💪🏼
How about dynamic range in video though?
We didn't get to take a look at the footage quite yet since this is a preproduction unit! But will report back when we get a more in depth look :)
Can't afford either. I'm using the tamron 70-180. If I'm correct the images quality is better than the sigma as well as minimum focus distance.
The camera is for hobbyists and that is great! I have one, absolutely love it because it’s FUN! And it takes great photos and incredible vid with excellent AF. I hate taking photos or vids with my smart phone. Boring. The Lumix Lab is awesome and creating a look without using Lightroom is great.
and don't forget that IBIS......i don't even bring a tripod!!!!
good small full frame camera but lacks the small lens to pairing it up 😂
It's certianly not like the Fujifilm and their F2 primes but the Panasonic 1.8 lenses are pretty good! Ya can only go so small when you have to cover the full frame sensor! That's the one downside to full frame cameras! >:)
Anything I can fit huh? Filling that bad boy with as many grand seikos and Rolexes as I can
If we stocked those.... I'd be broke... Just pay me in Shunbuns! - Anthony :)
The Sirui grip is waay bigger, looks odd but seems like a better fit!
Although I am getting the sigma version, I’d prefer the GM due to compatibility of teleconverter and faster FPS.
This is my dream camera but my parents don’t wanna buy it for me while they give my sister a 100 dollar instax mini 40 and me these old grandma cameras that don’t work 😭 (edit 22hrs later: THEY JUST BOUGHT ME ONE AS A SUPRISE 😁😁😁)
CONGRATS!!!!
14 manual shutter shots. Who knows how many electronic shutter shots.
Excited to see some reviews coming out soon. Autofocus accuracy is my #1 priority so will be good to see how the af locks on to the eye or if it front focuses
I just got the Sony yesterday and I love it so far! It's nice to be able to use the Sony teleconverters with it.
Right on! Enjoy it! Ya can't go wrong with any GM lens.
@@HenrysCamerasit's a nice companion to my 100-400GM.
I'm gonna be completely honest.. The "not knowing" of when Lumix is going to let the S5ii/X get some of the things that are in the S9, via firmware update....has be ready to pull the S9 trigger lol. I feeeeel like the S5ii will get the Lumix Lab app usage, I feel like the S5ii will get the X-Pan aspect ratio, but I'm also NOT sure it will, or when. And that alone, has me thinking, "whatever, just do it.. the S9 will be a good backup body to the S5ii." lol. Having glass already doesn't help. Makes the pre-order SO tempting lol.
Get it. I did. Yolo
Loving it so far. Only grip is the lack of grip.....Ironic.
@@lfcruzsierra Word !!! Mine will be here July 3rd. Gonna see how it is without the grip first, then if need be...I'll just get the Smallrig grip.
sony, let alone because of the weird suncap of the sigma which blocks half of the zoomring, which is also weirdly placed because its up front and the better autofocus when it comes to moving siubjects and last bust not least, easier to dismount the tripodcollar
It's not as big of a deal as people make it out to be! But I did find myself removing it when shooting at the MMA gym when we shot the longer video discussing this and the Sony.
There was also a silver model with black leather, but ive only seen it in 1 video at the Panasonic store in Japan
Mannnnn, I thought I was tripping !!! I saw that tooooo !
Silver one I believe is Asia only
Hmmm we did not hear about this one... iiiinnnteresting.
If it had an EVF I would instantly have swapped my S5ii for it, but that lack of an EVF (and also mechanical shutter) is just an instant turn off.
I have an S1H and shoot in the electronic shutter all the time. Cameras like the Sigma FP(I own two) and the Nikon Z8 and Z9 all have no mechanical shutter. They all take amazing photos. I have shot the S5II with the mechanical shutter turned off. I have no issues there. This isn't the electronic shutter of the G7 from 9 years ago, it is pretty awesome. Try your S5II with the mechanical shutter turned off.
@@meatbyproducts rolling shutter is a problem for ES vs MS pretty consistently on LUMIX. And that lack of EVF still absolutely slaughters this system for me. I’ll wait for an S9ii.
@ContraGrain the S9II won't have an EVF either. I run the Sigam FP often, and it has no EVF. Hell, it has no tilt screen either. Rolling shutter is an issue with all digital sensors that aren't global. Buy a Sony A9III for $6,000. The S9 is $1500 and will have compromises to be a fraction of the cost of something loke the A9III.
Honest question... Are there any videos or photos on your KZread that were done / shot with your S5ii ?
@@TopshelfJunior nah it was a recent purchase. I was shooting on a Nikon D810 for a hot minute in my instagram.
How did you already get yours
We got it from the Panasonic rep just after the announcement :)
🔥🔥🔥
Sony or Tamron
The nicest things always happen to the most undeserving people frfr
That’s a big assumption 💀
Ouch! hahaha
Since it an Instax mini 12 Why don't I turn the 11 likes into 12? Hehe
Not all hero's wear capes...
Ok, bel video ma come si fa? Quali sono i settaggi da fare sulla fotocamera e quelli sul flash?
You shouldn't say "Burlington location". It makes it sound too much like an ad. Just a tip. Say "in town" instead of "Burlington location".
Pretty sure Henry’s has locations a bunch of places so saying “in town” would be pretty pointless lol plus why does it matter if a specific location is mentioned? I’m sure they all have deals on used stuff 😂
I got an a6400 with less than 500 shots for $500 on the dot. It was either used as a videography camera or with silent shutter on as best as I can guess.
Damn an a6400? That’s a steal for 500. At a thrift store or where?
@@santiagocuriel8511 pawn shop. Only cosmetic damage was one of the corners on the flash hood was raised loosened a screw snapped it back into place and it was practically unnoticeable, not that I'd ever use the flash.
@@IanBPPK damn dude that’s awesome 👏. I been wanting a new camera cuz all I got is an Olympus e500 which does the job w the right lens but it’s outdated body camera wise. I gotta start hitting pawn shops trying out my luck
i wonder how many test shots he took
7 lol :) so this camera had 7 shots on it when it arrived at the store.
What a pointless useless video
awesome bro but woulda been cool to let us know what the camera is
I saw it in the video lol. Fujifilm X-Pro2
the camera is shown on screen. Its an Xpro2 from Fujifilm.
24 is god on full frame too bruh
Have you ever tested DPA2017? In terms of audio quality this one is second to none, you should give it a try ;-) .
I love my 18-55 on a crop sensor😊, its kinda like a 24-70 but then way smaller
I have got my nikon d7500 today. The ISO is outstanding in low light at some high ISO. Very good camera.
How high would you have to set the ISO before you end up seeing image grain? How low of light can this camera shoot without image noise?
what ? goodbye
35mm is my favorite focal. I find 50mm frustrating in a lot of situations but I go out with both 90% of the time. I got 14/26/35/50 and ... nothing else and will probably never need anything else.
Promo*SM ✋
7.5mm fisheye. Everything is in frame so no guesswork involved
I like the way you are thinking *taps forehead* LOL
50mm lens is gorgeous
I didn’t even look at the sigma and got the Sony
