    What massive climate problems are we talking about? Globally the ACE index (accumulated cyclone energy) 1980-2021 shows no increasing trend. Global Hurricane Landfalls 1970-2021 (updated from Weinkle et al, 2012) shows no trend. Satellite data since 1980 shows a slight downward global trend for total hurricaine numbers with 2021 being a record low year. The IPCC reports in AR6, chapter 11, "The total global frequency of TC [tropical cyclone] formation will decrease or remain unchanged with increasing global warming (medium confidence)." Not that I really care about what the IPCC says. Multidecadal variability in Atlantic hurricaines is most probably related to the AMO (Vecchi et al, 2021). NOAA data 1851-2021 shows no trend in number of hurricaine landfalls with the record high being 1886. What the data from NOAA SPC shows about tornados: EF1-EF5 (1954-2022) no trend; EF3-EF5 (most destructive) (1954-2022) 50% decline. No EF5s in US since 2013 (a record absence). The Global Land Precipitation Anomaly from AR5 will disappoint with deviations from the average increasing by 0.2% per decade, but if you look at the actual data, it's just very variable over the decades. Drought appears to be decreasing globally (Watts et al, 2018) measured by SPI 1901-2017. For every million people on earth, annual deaths from climate-related causes (extreme temperature, drought, flood, storms, wildfires) declined 98%--from an average of 247 per year during the 1920s to 2.5 in per year during the 2010s. Data on disaster deaths come from (EM-DAT, CRED / UCLouvain, Brussels,Belgium. ) Globally 2000-2019 there was a large decrease in cold-related deaths and a moderate increase in heat-related deaths (Zhao, 2021, Lancet). However, coldwaves are over 9 times more likely to kill than heatwaves, so the overall result is very beneficial. What else? Oh, deserts like the Sahara have shrunk considerably since the 1980's and the Earth has greened by 15% or more in a human lifetime (NASA). The Great Barrier Reef's coral cover has reached the greatest extent ever recorded. On extinction the rate is very low: 900 known lost species for 2.1 million known species in 500 years. At that frequency it will take over 930,000 years to reach 80% extinction of species experienced at the K-T boundary that saw the extinction of the dinosaurs. Of course, extinction is a natural part of the evolution of life on this planet with the average lifespan of a species thought to be about 1 million years. It is estimated that 99.9% of all plant and animal species that have existed have gone extinct. There is no climate crisis.

    This denial is straight out of Heritage and Heartland. You're ethics are atrocious given this sleight of hand alone; shifting attention from the predicted and observed increase in storm strength to total storm numbers not changing appreciably. Few models predict more storms, so your red herring is the size of Texas. You have also shifted attention away from the increase in total area which is drying by averaging it with extreme amounts falling in small areas of that total. I noticed you now also include claims about extinction and rates of extinction after I brought them up earlier with you and you fell on your face. That makes you more like a bot than a human. Prove otherwise by speaking to the value of biodiversity itself in any sense you can muster. I'll predict you cannot do so with the knowledge you possess. The differences between people are matters of developmental immaturity vs developmental maturity in each of ten domains of intelligence, which can also be demonstrated using the framework of modular cognition theory, developmental psychology, and philosophy. A bot will not be able to counter what is said here and will instead just parrot more denial.

    @astro nautical I'm sorry if you don't like those facts, but they're not mine. They are just out there. Make of them what you will. Let's shift attention back to predictions then. Like the one's made by the IPCC. All you climate alarmists just love the IPCC.Please be aware that the IPCC's (Scenario A) modelled predictions are junk. Back in 1990 they predicted a warming of 0.30-0.34°C per decade. Of course we've only had 0.13°C per decade, which is well below the IPCC's lower bound of 0.20°. IPCC’s business-as-usual scenario was founded on the assumption that CO2 emissions would increase by 10-20% by 2025. The truth, however, is that global CO2 emissions are not 20% above their 1990 level but 60% above it. But there is still no crisis just an unexciting set of observations. This climate emergency is built on sand.

  • @astronautical1082
    @astronautical1082 Жыл бұрын

    @@OldScientist Thank you for confirming my claims. Its exactly what I predicted for the reasons I predicted. Predictions about emission levels do not render impacts nonexistent. You are abusing the premise. Its never too late to attend to the developmental imperative, and the results of that work measure both achievement and merit.

    Why is the argument always using children to avoid the laws of the land. The parents know they are violating the law, when they bring the children here. They care more about immigrants children then US citizens. When parents in the US are arrested with there children they have always been separated, it wasn't a big deal. Now the immigrants are separated and it's a hugh deal. The US can't accept everyone. Where should the US draw the line or just let every person in no matter?

    How was this vote close? Immigration is not a right. To those who agree w the 4 dissenting Justices, a question: Virtue signalling with other's money, my money, is virtuous? Non citizens (excluding legitimate war refugees) who take more in benefits than they pay in taxes, are an unwanted and unwelcome burden....., they also kill wages of America's Working Poor Although Trump's income tax cuts have resulted in the most income tax revenues in history.....the USA is still over spending/running a deficit, with a debt of $21 trillion

    In North Carolina there is an astronomical cost of rural care that has resulted from a combination of CMS directed efforts towards both Medicare and Medicaid that limits access of rural patients to reasonable cost medications, cost shifts to commercial insurgance because of a failure to expand Medicaid that has resulted in uninsured patients draining the resources of rural hospitals because of their obligation, critical access hospitals that can charge patients a 60% premium above usual Medicare costs, patients going without supplements because of their rising cost, especially in rural areas, lack of adequate diabetes medication cost coverage by Medicare Advantage Programs that charge huge copays on numerous medications as GLP-1 agonists, incentives for huge costs of lab tests to self-pay patients resulting in them becoming indebted to rural hospitals, garnishing of medical payouts for severe injuries caused by auto-accidents in "no fault" states such as North Carolina, very poor public health outcomes, especially in rural areas, life expectency going down, especially in rural areas because of multiple factors other than the opioid misuse epidemic.....etc.....etc....etc ad nauseum.

    Democrats more favorable to drug price reform? No. Your Family USA facilitator is a partisan. Democrats held up the reform legislation not Republicans. It's not a partisan issue and voting for a democrat vs a Republican won't advance drug reform. The democrat House Speaker used the reform legislation as leverage. This did nothing to inform.

    To ALL my AHs Americans out there and especially the DEMOCRATIC AMERICANS who DOES NOT VOTE in many elections, that causes thing like ACA being diluted, because DAMN Republicans are winning elections that would have had they VOTED !! If you DO NOT vote to help Democratic candidates wins, then get off your a$$eS and vote to keep Republicans from getting in. Many Americans are being HARM because Republicans do not gives a rat's A$$ about the struggles of the American people. I understand all politicians are JERKS and goes in any direction the wind blows(money), but Republican politicians takes that to a hold level, and ALL need to seek treatment with AHA = A$$-HOLES-ANNONYMOUS, we can NO LONGER depend on the Supreme Courts to get it right, because they never have the worries of most Americans who might screw up on their jobs, seeking employment else where , if they are FIRED ! its called screwing up on the job in comfort.

    The #1 expenditure of Medicare is joint replacement. The Institute of Medicine 7/29/11 reported that the method the FDA uses to clear implanted medical devices is flawed. Patients with failed implanted medical devices are in medical and legal purgatory. Congress must change this by changing the FDA/CDRH charter to require post-market data, Patient/Consumer Representatives as full voting stakeholders and a product warranty. Families USA has it right!
