@@GabesGarage not even close… wish but not a bad 9 I was able to play
Seems like all of them have a downside. I think the Rogue angles are too extreme. It looks more like a hammer curl which some may prefer but I like the more moderate angle of the Rep as I think it works more bicep rather than brachialis. I like that they are generous with the knurling unlike Rep who for whatever reason decided less was better. Judging from the reviews, it's a dealbreaker for a lot of potential buyers. I'm hoping they'll come out with a improved version. In the meantime I'll keep the short one I have.
@@jerseyjim9092 I understand and did sell it and did another video on it. I am very doubtful they will come out with another version but we can only hope. Thanks for the comments. The knurling does suck though which is the worst thing about it. Angles are perfect IMO
Great video, very informative. Question about the knurled grips after install... do you find that the knurled grips rotate in place ever so slightly or are they rock solid? To be clear, if you grab the grip and try to turn it as if you were revving a motorcycle handle, do you feel a slight turn or none at all? Thanks!
@@Nitz335i no they don’t turn at all. Thanks for the comment and the question.
@@EricB03 Thanks for the reply!
@@Nitz335i my pleasure
how big are your arms? looks fitted
@@my2l it is fitted and my arms are 16” when flexed
@@EricB03 thanks!
First.. i don't forsee myself doing 5.25 pounds bicep curls.. any weight thereafter u might not tell the difference.. as for straps... if ur grip isn't up to snuff then u shouldn't need straps being that they only go up to 85-90.. ... and goblet squats could be done. But if an alternative is needed then do so.. ive got the older rexan and a set of aluminum rexan qhich help complete my 5 pound increments.. .. im old skool and don't think of the little differences bothering me.. to each his own.. good video.. keep on keepin on. Peace ✌️

Wooowwww, thats incredible looking❤❤❤ Never been out of country and i can only fathom what the rest of the word feels like and getting to hime there would be a dream come true tbh. Im glad youre living life well man, keep it up and good luck with anything behind the scenes man❤❤
@@ramboblayde thanks and I have an airline buddy so that helps tremendously and wouldn’t be able to do this with that money wise. Take care and it is really cool here.
I had a pair and had to sell them, because for me they dont feel right. I dont like that boxy cage, it killed my hand
@@ksmooth1973 yes that can bother some for sure
My coffee art still needs more help but fun to try
There are 2 ways people measure weight. The number on each side and the number on one side. I am the latter and I was like "no fucking way" but then I counted. It's still very impressive
@@clabuda2 haha that is too funny. I was being funny with the 8 plates title thing. It doesn’t look like it of course due to the Strength co plates being so skinny. Hope you are having a great weekend.
Excellent video. In particular I was intrigued with the calibrating procedure you used. I noted that you were in the small ring at the front, is this mandatory fro it it adjust correctly or do you also do the same procedure in the big ring?
@@47Seagull no not mandatory at all and I do it in the big ring usually and haven’t had any issues when in small ring. But usually small ring when going up hill so speed I am going is much slower
@@EricB03 I have used the manual method and never been able to get a silent chain also tried the phone app adjustment with same results. Be interesting to try your method 😁
@@47Seagull great and hope it works as seems to for me. So much nicer what we have now vs 10 years ago
@@EricB03 Followed your instructions yesterday, fascinating. Normally I have adjusted the rear derailleur manually with the shifter or through the E-project app, neither have been totally successful for me, although It could be the KMC waxed chain that is causing my noise concern. A quick 100 meter ride suggested that this method is more successful. Won't be able to tell 100% for a couple of weeks due to other commitments. I'll get back to you 😀
@@47Seagull nice!
Found this vid to late, hopefully it comes back on sale!
@@kris_roro it Will definitely and does 3 to 4 times a year.
@Eric B Fit do you have your rack bolted? i want to buy the pad but i want to make sure the rack doesnt have to be bolted!
@@KronosPR1 nope not at all but the on rack weight storage I am sure helps. If you don’t have that the mini feet or even better the longer ones if they still sell them will probably do the trick but that is a guess
@EricB03 I have an rml6 with over 1300lbs plates on the back plus chains etc. Thx for the reply! Great day!
@@KronosPR1 yeah no problem and enjoy your day and weekend.
Best pull yet but still need to refine form. 1 year deadlifting in the books
Love the gym setup mate. What power rack is that RM 3 or RM 4?
@@josueaura8986 rm3 and thanks
Great demonstration. Helps that you have a Blues hat on
@@JMart-zj4lg haha thanks. Not from St Louis but went there and caught a game.
Is your rack bolted down? Can you use this with out teh rack being bolted down or have front feet? Will this tile the rack?
No it is not bolted down but on rack storage with the 45’s being on the opposite side helps. I am sure you can use it without being bolted but if I did I would buy the mini feet for the front to help stabilize it. Depending on the weight pulling of course.
@@EricB03 I was going to put a mini feet on the back for bracing for racking squats. I guess I can get another pair to put int the front. Chest supported bar row is what I do miss. Right now I jsut an incline bench and dumbells for rows which is ok. thanks
@@TheGhu123 that is my rec yes. I do have them on the back of my rack. If I didn’t have the weight storage on rack would get another pair. But yeah I love this piece and use it all the time. Yes it is more of a one trick pony but it is great.
350 Ostereier oder was?
Posture looking good 👌
Building slowly and following the program. @evolveai
I got some used ones. They are not perfect but most adjustable dumbbells are not. I think now that the Peppins are being made by Rep and are more affordable they will be the standard - but even those are not perfect. Comparing powerblock to some others i have tried (Nuobell, Bowflex and Spin locks) - I like Powerblock the best. Nuobell felt very fragile to me, and they only went to 80 pounds. Also, they misaligned most of the time when i put them back in the craddle. Bow flex also feel like they will fail over time or wont be able to handle an accidental drop. Finally, they are large and awkward on certain exercises. For Powerblock, the cage and rattles dont bug me. I do agree adder weights are cumbersome, but the set i bought came with an extra set of handles to make 5 pound increment changes easier. Also, i hold the Powerblock from the bottom pillar often for things like shoulder flys and the balance feels much better. I never tried Ironmaster but i had spinlocks before and they just took way too much time to change weight. I like drop sets and supersets with different exercises and really prefer adjustables that change quickly.
Yes love mine and nice score on the used ones. They are bombproof and a big reason they have been around forever.
@@EricB03 good point on the straps, powerblocks don't work with those accessories or most accessories in general. Of note, Noubell will be fine with straps, but also has a short handle length and unfortunately wont work with many 3rd party accessories.
@@steverapos3904 yeah the biggest Dow side for sure but doesn’t bother me personally even though I have it on the video

Stop lifting with your back. Lift with your legs. Use this video to get an idea of form, so that you can correct this mistake. Other than that keep going amigo.
Yes been working on it and keep trying to make changes. Appreciate the comment
Getting there and continue to build
The imbalance with only one adder weight might actually be a benefit for functional strength. Not everything we lift is gonna be perfectly balanced. I tote a lot of heavily loaded containers and they are pretty much unstable with various weight imbalances in each container plus a loose, swivel type handle. Slightly out of balance powerblocks wouldn’t bother me at all and might actually help functional strength and gripping ability.
Very good point and does have some validity for sure. I personally love mine and cannot think of getting anything else to save space. Would I want a full set of course but that isn’t in the cards.
This is so damn cool!!!
Curious to know the footprint of this. How far from the wall does this stick out, and how wide is it?
This is back on sale for $999 at Costco as of June, 21.
Sweet. Loving mine
Those calves are not going to grow but not doing anything 😂
Nicely done

I got my full-body exercise just unboxing all the pieces and lugging them across the house into my exercise room! When i recover in a few weeks, i'll try some actual exercises...
Hahah nice and enjoy it. I do love mine but it of course has a few negatives, however those are not even close to worrying about
they say human eyes see green the best in the dark, or at least that's why most night vision goggles were always green wonder how much a difference it makes over the red one the instinct 2x solar has
I am sure it makes a fair amount of difference. I cannot quantify it of course but if I were to guess there is a reason why it is like it.

It’s like river cold but on the lake 🥶
It’s colder in the river here by a few degrees
@@EricB03 I need to be desensitized 🍺 to get there 😂
@@GabesGarage lol.
how do you find using the gym pins on the ftx? Are you comfortable loading one side up heavy? Do you find yourself needing to use both often or does one suffice?
To have it balanced I use both of doing lat pull downs. I find it very useful to add extra weight. Problem is holding yourself down doing them with a lot of weight depending on your overall weight
are you able to combine stacks with an adapter with this unit? to use a single hole lat bar for example
It won’t work like that and needs the double bar for lat pulldowns. You can use the one stack with a smaller bar and gympin but won’t get heavy enough. I find the long bar with both stacks good enough but not a dedicated lat pulldown for sure.
@@EricB03 ok, i was wanting to use a Double D, and a short lat bar, I don’t think a single stack has enough weight for those movements.
@@DonaldKHowatt yes it won’t be enough if you want a true lat pull down. Even with the single stack, bar and gym pin it would only be around 120lbs max and kind of awkward. I never got it for that but it does work. I tend to do a lot of weighted pull ups.
Who needs a cold plunge when you have a lake
Awesome review, just curious do you need to be connected to your phone to get the weather reports?
Thank you for the kind comment. For weather for the widget yes. Do you mean the weather graph for flying?
😊 will the gym help you survive in a survival situation so ask yourself that if you were dropped off in the middle of nowhere and you had the knowledge of the gym to help you out of that situation could you survive😊
Hahah functional strength will help for sure and I am an outdoorsman
Stop making videos and Start working-out When you older skinny guys start making some gains, all this bullshit that you are talking about will seem ridiculously petty and unfounded. You even might want to consider a new hobby like bowling or something. You ever notice Muscular guys don't complain about anything - older skinny underdeveloped guys complain about the uncomfortable part of working-out. Unbelievable!
Haha you are hilarious and must be fun at parties. 😂 I guess since I am not enhanced I must not workout. Ok then, lol.
How tall is your roof here?
The drop celling is 91”. This is the 90” rack. Right up against it.

Excellent Video. I have a current Ultegra Di2 with the Function button on the Rear Derailleur. It doesn't seem to have this auto adjust mode as you demonstrated. am I missing something?
As far as I know it doesn’t do that. You can still however do micro adjustments. To be honest though I hardly ever have to re-index using that mode. Thanks for the comment and have a great weekend.
I just came from playing golf I was going to tell you about my 320 yds drive 🥲
Downhill? 😜. Either way it always counts.
why wouldn't you just hold the handles that hold the adder weights to do goblet squats?
It is a pain or super awkward in my opinion but a good idea for sure
Why do all these guys with home gyms especially expensive ones look like they don't workout?
Been only a little over a year back lifting and trying. It is a marathon and not a sprint for me. Thanks for the comment and take care.
@EricB03 ok so you are just getting back in it. But what about all the other ones? I recently thought about building a home gym and started doing research. Watching hundreds of videos in 3 languages and noticed the vast majority look average. They look like the everyday people I see everyday. I have/had coworkers with better physical appearance than the home gym guys.
@@roninwarrior216 I don’t know man as I don’t bother myself with what others do/have and enjoying the process. I am almost to the 1000 lb club combined for squat, bench and DL which is a goal for me. I don’t sell anything or use affiliate links like others and use everything I have 4 times a week.
