"It's Chris Smith Time!" is here to entertain you or perhaps bring about a chuckle. Formerly known as "You're Not Taping Again, Are You?" and "The YNTAAY Minis," this new version of the show stars writer/performer Chris Smith, as well as his friends of the human, canine, and puppet variety. A soap opera lover and musical theatre enthusiast, Chris often posts reviews of movies or theatrical events of Broadway, Off-Broadway, regional, or local LIVE theatre venues. He also appears as Father Finnegan on the comical soap opera web series "Roads to Keystone," also found on KZread.
You can also view older episodes of "Roads to Keystone," "The YNTAAY Minis," "You're Not Taping Again, Are You?" by searching in the Playlists on my channel.

Hi Betty! Lots of love from Grace in AZ!❤
You just made my morning.😍
Surprise appearance from Bettyyyy 🎉
My favorite people!!!!
Mine too. 🙂
This is such an underrated show! We used to watch the movie whenever it aired. The one with Ana Gasteyer snd Kristen Bell. A masterpiece. We'd love to see it live one day.
@twosicalsmusicals You would love it LIVE. This was my first time seeing it on stage, and it did not disappoint.
@itschrissmithtime9315 One day! Will you be seeing the Company tour coming through?
@@twosicalsmusicals Yes, in August. I can't wait. That killed me that I couldn't see it on Broadway.
I love the show, I saw it in la, I wish there was a recording of the touring cast
There is actually. They don't have a CD recording to purchase, but I believe the cast recording is available to download. OR you can listen to it on KZread.
Just type "Mrs. Doubtfire Original Broadway Cast Recording" and it will come up on KZread.
I have listened too the soundtrack, but I want too have a way too watch the touring cast over again, because the tour was kind of different from the Broadway version
@@davidkoss2827 I noticed some changes from what I heard on tour, compared to the Broadway version, including giving Miranda more to sing in the finale, taking away from what the social worker sings.
Plus I loved hearing Rob McClure doing all the impressions he did, I don’t remember hearing him do the Simpsons or Nathan lane in bootlegs I watched, but when I saw the show, right when it started he did impressions of darth Vader, Nathan lane the Simpsons and Kermit and miss piggy
That's hilarious! Wish there was recording of that (legal of course lol). That's so interesting to hear! Yeah that's true
I saw this show on Broadway and I thought it was fun. During my performance the keyboard he uses kept messing up and Rob had to restart it 5 times. It was so hilarious and he had to adlib a little. So glad he is doing the tour cos honestly I can't see anyone else playing Daniel. I also like the fact he doesn't imitate Robin Williams and makes it his own I heard the tour for Tootsie was very mediocre compared to on Broadway (I saw it on Broadway and thought that was fine.)
@clowchan That is funny. You can tell he's great at ad-libbing. It's so rare to get the star from Broadway on a tour, so I was thrilled. Rob did a great Donald tRump impression at the beginning of the show. I also saw Tootsie on Broadway and liked it much better than the touring version. I had issues with some book choices since there wasn't as much at stake when Dorothy reveals herself to be Michael Dorsey on the stage (as opposed to Live on a TV soap opera.)
It was so much fun!
Regarding the national tour that I originally thought this was, it is being billed more as a "West Coast premiere." This is what I found on line... "A Strange Loop, a Tony- and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical by Michael R. Jackson, premiered on the West Coast at the American Conservatory Theater's Toni Rembe Theater in San Francisco from April 18-May 12, 2024. The show then moved to Center Theatre Group's Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles from June 5-30, 2024." So, for now, these are the only cities slated to have received "A Strange Loop." When we hear of more cities, we will shout it from the rooftops.
Boy this takes me back! I had forgot all about KATE & ALLIE.
Never forget. :-) I still look for them every Monday night.
Don't care about the Tony's but always a delight to watch you!
Watching the Tonys increases your smile muscles. You should try it sometime.
It will never be like the good old days at CBS!
That's true. But not the last season I was on the show.
I loved the Tonys. I didn't think it was boring!
I did too. Any Tony Awards ceremony is all right by me. The CBS telecast drew 3.51 million viewers, which does not account for those who watched on Paramount+.
Honestly I thought the Tony opening was -fine- but ironically I thought the Tonys last year with out the writers was actually phenomenal (which says something) I was lucky enough toMerrily (I somehow scored cheap tickets in the first sale. They are so pricey) and it is so good. I heard the filming might be for PBS and I hope that's true. Everyone needs to see that show. Maria Friedman should have won for best director esp when her and her sister made that show make sense!
I was so surprised about Maria not winning. At least she won a ton of other awards. This just seemed like a done deal to me. I'm so jealous you got to see Merrily. Good for you. I also liked last year's writer-free opening over this one. Hmmm.
Happy Birthday Betty!
What a wonderful show!!❤❤
You're sweet 😋 💗.
Happy Birthday to your Mom! She's invincible!!
Thank you. They certainly don't make them like Betty anymore. LOL
As always, a btilliamt revieem
Chris in his sick bed 😢
Don't worry, he'll get better...eventually.
My favorite!!!! THIS AND THAT!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
So awesome!. I agree!!
Your #1 was mine too (and in another dimension it would have won best film and actor)
I was really surprised and delighted by how much that movie touched me. I won't hesitate with Paul Giamatti again.
Thank you for the Top Ten list!!! P.S. Say hello to Willie Talk.
Did I accidentally call Halle Bailey, who plays Nettie, "Halle Berry," who's not in this movie. If so, my apologies to Halle Bailey.
Hey, Chris...Sherry here. Just for the record: There is no Kate McArdle in my life. That girl was lying about being my friend, but I think that's kind of adorable. What a weird thing to claim. I chose the name Kate for Kate Hepburn, and her last name was a distant neighbor's last name that sounded good with Kate. Thanks for your fandom. I appreciate it.
Wow, Sherry, thank you so much for writing me. What an honor!!! I can't tell you how much joy you brought to so many people by creating such a gem. And thanks for clearing up the Kate McArdle mystery. I was so excited to have met her, but hearing from you makes up for the disappointment that she wasn't the real deal. LOL. Take care and Happy Anniversary to you and your show. 😀
❤
Love it!
I was slightly disappointed with Renfield too. I loved the idea but it felt like writers couldn't figure out how to flesh it out past that premise. I wish it was more in the tone of the beginning. And more Nicolas Cage Dracula. Five Nights probably makes more sense if you play (or watch others play) the video game. Even the fans of the games had some issues with the film (I haven't seen it). The basic premise of the game is you have to survive the night as a security person and watch camera feeds and make sure the animatronics don't get you. A lot of let's players esp Markiplier play this game on yt
I just want to know why no one's made a Frogger movie. Now THAT I'd like to see...and play. 😆
Did you have a tummy ache afterward?
I did. How did you know? 😆
If you have any international candy stores near you - check them. My fave one is matcha
Thanks, I'll look and see. 👀
😂 my mom loves the show ❤
I'm so glad. This was not my finest...mostly because I can still taste that melon. 😮
You could always review Christmas Story the musical in July
Good idea 💡 👏.
WAH-WAHHHH! You are hilarious and Betty is just the sweetest!❤
I love this classic Betty chronicle. 😀She's a hoot!
excellent review!!!
I’ll see it when the musical revamps during the promotion of the biopic and the outcome of victory of MJ’s estate in February trial against Robson and Safechuck!!!! A trio of Michael Jacksons will become a quartet by splitting the Middle Michael part into two separate versions (teen in mid-late 1970s and young adult in early-mid 1980s)!!!! Little Michael represents the J5 era, Teenage Michael represents late-Motown/Jacksons eras, Young Adult Michael represents Off the Wall, Thriller, and Bad eras, MJ represents the Dangerous era. That’ll be amazing!!! That group will all have lead roles, while Rob/Joe Jackson relegates into a supporting role. All four Michaels (Little Michael: Michael Jackson at age 10, Teenage Michael: Michael Jackson in his teenage years, Young Adult Michael: Michael Jackson in his twenties, and MJ: Michael Jackson in his thirties) will sing solos, duets, trios, and quartets!!! They will be increasing their vocal range from the original Broadway version (Little Michael’s lowest is G3; while all the other three Michaels’ (Teenage Michael, Young Adult Michael, and MJ) lowest note each is G2)!!!!❤❤❤ I also hope when it releases a cast album which includes all the songs from the revised set, I’ll listen to everything!!!! Changes and additions include new set, new songs, new and redesigned costumes, new characters, Smooth Criminal with The Lean, Billie Jean with dance solo, Thriller in full costume and choreography, All of MJs dance with icons who inspired them, All 4 Michaels actually playing instruments (guitar, piano, bass guitar, keyboards, drums, percussion, all other instruments that MJ used/held/played, and instruments that MJ never used/held/played); that group will also play as a band/orchestra; MITM ending sung by one of MJ incarnations, new scenes, new dialogue, new finale; new running time is at least three hours with a ten-minute intermission!!!! The revamped MJ the Musical will have a world tour, with each incarnation of MJ will be portrayed by an actor from every single country (US (New York City/US Tour), UK (London), Germany (Hamburg), Australia (Sydney))!!! All "MJ" actors at different stages of his life from every production will come together for the reimagined international tour!!!! That tour will be multilingual in dialogue and songs!!! That will be impressive!!! The original "Middle Michael" will have two separate characters at the same time: younger Teenage Michael and an older Young Adult Michael. After the world tour, every single production of MJ will adapt the reimagined and brand new form and all future productions will have reimagined forms!!!! Leads' Playing Age Ranges: Little Michael: 8-13 Teenage Michael: 18-25 Young Adult Michael: 18-30 MJ: 30+ Little Michael: Child, Early Teen; Teenage Michael: Early Teen, Late Teen; Young Adult Michael: Late Teen, Young Adult; MJ: Young Adult, Adult Showtime! 🎭 Can't wait!
Wow, that sounds incredible. Thanks for that info. I'll definitely need to see the revamped version.
@@itschrissmithtime9315 OK!!!!
@@itschrissmithtime9315 The revamped production in USA will include actors hailing from brand new cities: "Little Michael" from Honolulu; "Teenage Michael" from Cleveland, "Young Adult Michael" from Minneapolis, "MJ" from Las Vegas etc This revamped production will be the same for the rest of the productions, cities, tours, countries etc!!!
She is a personal friend of one of my friends. She has always told me Alison is a super nice lady. She did live in Studio City not far from me, but I'm not sure if she still does.
She's a lot of fun. I'm so glad I got to meet her. She sold bonnets too. Lol
you crack me up like nobody else!😜
Thanks, Cousin Scott.
I love you Chris Smith!❤
You are cracking me up with those dog noises.
sounds like a fun show.
Snoopy and I are going to the matinee this weekend.
EFilm will always live in your heart ❣️❣️❣️
It's giving mary tyler moore 😂
Oh, good. If only I'd had a hat to toss up in the air at the beginning. 😀
Did you leave your job?
Just the building. The job is moving to a new location, but the soul will stay behind.
@@itschrissmithtime9315 Oh ok. I thought you got laid off or something!
@lamusiclover2264 No, I would've been happier when I exited. Just kidding. Kind of.
@@itschrissmithtime9315 It was a Mary Tyler Moore moment 😭
@lamusiclover2264 There's an amusing longer version that may air one day, but it needs a little editing, which is not my strong suit. Lol
Happy Holidays, dear. Or as we said in my day, "Merry Christmas." heh heh heh
We say "Happy Holidays" now because we realized that not everyone celebrates Christmas. Though, I suppose, not everyone celebrates holidays. LOL
She’s a doll
Thank you. We enjoy her too. 😀
7:48 it sounds like you named Eileen’s characters name 😂
LOL. It does! You know I like a long name. And on Soap Operas, the often married ladies definitely like long names.
I have sleep apnea. I used one of those CPAP machines for a few years, but I have such bad sinuses, I can't breathe through my nose. When they say 72 incidents, yes, they mean you stop breathing 72 times. Maybe not for a very long time each time, but there are breaks in your breathing, which lowers the oxygen level in your blood, and brain.....oh all hell can break loose. Guess that's why I'm slowly my mind!! I'm going to look into another fix for apnea called "Inspire". It's a little electric device that they implant in you and it stops your tongue from slipping back and blocking your airway. I saw Charles Busch in "Die Mommy Die". Long ago and then again about 5 or 6 years ago.
If this CPAP doesn't work out for me, I'll have to look into other methods. I'd hate to have something implanted in my tongue 👅 though. What if they were able to control my behavior, like on Days of Our Lives, when Vivian had a tooth implant that was a remote-controlled device to make her do all kinds of things. 😱
Or wherever they implant it. 😆
I LOVE this video. RYAN'S HOPE was one of my favorites!! I love all the things you love!! I love you!!!
I love you, too. Yes, they broke the mold when they made Ryan's Hope. The book shows the struggle of when ABC wanted it to be glamorous and look like their other daytime soaps. Fascinating.
EDITOR'S NOTE: As you know, I tape "LIVE," so if I make a mistake and don't catch it, there's no going back. During this video, I accidentally referred to actress Randall Edwards as "Randall Adams." My apologies. Randall, of course, played Delia Reid Ryan from 1979 to 1982--and is the one who was kidnapped on the show by Prince Albert, the gorilla. But that's another story. (Ilene Kristen is the original Delia Reid Ryan. She left, came back, left, and came back toward the end of the series, playing Delia in the first episode and the last episode.
