  It can be alot of fun. But u need to have a guy who knows all about the transmission. So u don't end up fixing it and bringing it back in a year. There is no way of avoiding it have to rebuild it one way or another. Trans fluid is expensive too and needs to be replaced quite often. I'd go with a gsr evo instead

  I own a Ralliart as well, if you get one, get one with a warranty.... SST trans is a lot of fun but when something fails it costs an arm and a leg. My TCU and valve body failed shortly after I bought mine. it was 12K of work and parts but with my warranty I only paid $800 for it all and new trans fluid. If your in a better financial place there's nothing to worry about just send the car over to a DCT/SST company that can rebuild it to handle 400 or even 600 plus HP. That being said it costs a few thousand but definitely worth it if you want the car to be reliable and fast.

  It's a fun car. But financially wise I do not recommend it. They are older cars now, and the transmissions are extremely expensive. And need a lot of love and care. I'd rather spend more on an evo x with a standard gear box. You can loose alot of money quick when the trans goes on the ralliart or evo mr.

  @@manysrally710 thank you for the input because I was thinking of it but wasn’t sure. Do you know any other cars that look sporty like the ralliart because I was thinking about getting the regular lancer and adding a evo wing and maybe front bumper. But I’m not sure I would prefer a pretty good reliable car. Thank you for the help!

  @lilplush670 lancers are reliable, but they are quite slow. I had one as my first car. Id rather recommend a mercedes 2012+ c300 or c350. They come quite low and have a nice look, nice interior and have decent power. My bro has over 250,000klm, not a problem. Burble tunes are funn too.

  I've had a bad experience with it. But when it works right it's really impressive. Lots of maintenance needed. Trans fluid needs to be changed frequently and the type of fluid you need is very expensive. Around 400$ each change. It can be good if low kilometers and you know who you buing it from. But it's really picky especially in very cold or very hot weather. Overheating is a common problem. I'd stay away. Save couple more bucks and get a evo gsr

  I bought Lancer Ralliart Sportback two weeks ago it's so much fun to drive I picked up a 2010 with low miles literally no complaints when driving steady I get 31mpg soon dwindles when I whack my foot down.

  I went with a Skoda Octavia VRS 230. very nice car but not knowing it has a stage 2 + remap 380 bhp , everything has been upgraded it eats fuel like there's no tomorrow 😭

  @@Pickle.Shorts I'm booked in for my stage one back end of April, I was looking at the 3.0 VW Passat found a gem of Jap import but the running costs persuaded me otherwise that had some naughty extras. 380 bhp.... 0 to 60 in £45 😂.

  Wish I could but sold her. Regular maintenance is key on the sst. Thats all you can do. They have their weak spots tho

  @@manysrally710 well i mean when you do donuts and all that, what mode do u use, normal, sport mode ssport , you have it on drive or o put it manual, do u keep it in 1st or 2nd gear, stuff like that

  @@cristiansantiago5871 you just gota send it! always in sport mode and start her off in 1st gear for the swing switch to 2nd gear ones you got her spinning around.... I also had a upgraded trans cooler. Recommend it!

  i alwaysuse sst manually in s sport mode , chance engine oil and filters in each 3000, and chance sst oil and filters in each 5000 km

  Good eye! No I just put it in neutral to roll down the rest of the road. I had the trans rebuilt and thats one way I let it cool down when going hard on it.

  @@StinkyColas no I never got it. The launch control is not to healthy for theese clutches anyways. Overheats🔥 them to quick 🙃

  @@manysrally710 I appreciate the reply man. I certainly don't plan to launch the SST transmission but the pressure increase of the clutches is 20% more in s-sport, it also has a higher rev limit and doesn't down shift for you 👍

  At the time close to stock yeah.... just some litle goodies no big horsepower gain. (Intake, intercooler and piping, exhaust, bov delete)

  I actually had my clutches and all seals replaced and 2days after it started to slip again. (This vidio was with rebuild trans) Only had a service light come on that time. It only happened ones to me ones after the rebuild, just had to reset the ecu and was good to go again.

  RyuRonin Only tune I got is the Cobb Stage 1, and exhaust is custom resonator, and muffler delete.

  Eyeskel Davison you just have to turn off the ASC (it turns off all the traction controles n such) and leave it in 1st , 2nd gear.

  McDamianor i have 162,00klm i had to fix the transmission ar 130,000klm tho. because the previous owner did not change the trans fluid.
