    Financial profit is only derived from the deliberate and forceful creation of a large working class. Feudalism is to blame for that, then the capitalist took advantage of that ready made class system. without that foundational class system capitalism could not exist. The hierarchies of feudalism and capitalism are pyramid shaped, while every natural hierarchy of competence is a bell curve (IQ bell curve) with few at the top and bottom and the majority in the middle. Pyramid hierarchies are artificial and integral to capitalism/profit, there has to be a very large base of low paid workers in a capitalist hierarchy in order for profit to be generated. Financial profit is not possible in a natural (bell curve) hierarchy because there aren't enough people at the bottom to skim labor value from.

    socialism is great in theory but historically in practice its pretty bad. Not saying capitalism is perfect or good but it is a system that historically at least works. I think it boils down to coruption and lack of investment in a system that people dont own any of there own belongings. I think the only way socialism could work or has worked is small scale light socialism. IE A small democratic comunity wher you can own property but the esentials are both owned and taken care of by the comunity as a whole. This allwos people to feal a sense of pride in their own work reep the benifits of working their own property and still have the comunity takes care of. Also coruption while not imposible is harder on a small scale especially when everyone has a personal investment. Actually this has worked for centuries with comunity owned business that everyone is expected to contribute to. But notably capitalism still is the system when working with people outside the comunity

  • @redcyberdragon29
    @redcyberdragon29Ай бұрын

    Yes, I think socialism will come about only from the bottom up. But I also think it can ultimately scale to larger communities.

  • @aaronwilliams6862
    @aaronwilliams6862Ай бұрын

    @@redcyberdragon29 Fair but again it would still be light socialism within a capitalist system. After all you must trade with people outside your comunity. Also in orderfor it to work best people need to be insentivized to both do suport these industries and rewarded for doing their best. Also if you go to large your giving a government complete control over the assests of a large group of people witch has never ended well. But if you limmit their decision making powers to much only stagnation awaits. Also people would have to be a part of this voluntarily or it wouldn't work and would have massive ethical issues. I think some of the best historical examples of a community like your thinking would be tactually be the early monastaries of the early christian church in the late 1st and 2nd centuries before it the catholic church took complete control and it became more political than religious. People joined willingly for a time or permantly and dedicated themselves to not only study but to being self suficent with both farming and businesses owned by the local monastary. However they were also dedicated to charity and gave food, medical atention and spirtual advise to those who came tothem in legitament need.

    @@redcyberdragon29 Just to be clear not critizing but trying to point out legit issues and bariers because I would love to hear or help come up with a detailed plan for how a comunity like that could be implemented. Frankly i think a more interconected comunty and a greater sense of personal charity, (not to be confused with institutional subsidies,) would fix a lot of our modern problems.

    This wasn’t the “owning the libs” moment you built in your mind. Don’t get me wrong, an entertaining video of that type is fine, but this is just idiotic. Moral superiority is baseless in political leanings. Plenty of libs will virtue signal, but christian evangelicals will do the Bible to be just as judgmental, and often align with conservativism. Neither left nor right ideology is built of “being better than others” as much as they are natural consequences from a culture. As humans, we are all vulnerable to make poor judgements that make us feel superior (or explaining in internet terms, “I am the chad, and he is the soy boy”). It’s human to make judgement, and we just need to be cognizant about it so we don’t use it for the worse. Also, while I do feel like the streamer didn’t defend his points well, I felt like the dude in the comments was schizorambling half the time. This shit feels disjointed, and less like a valid response to a dislike ideology and more like a fucking five year old that just say “nuh-uh” everytime you ask him to do his preschool homework. I’m Libertarian, so I have ideologies that lie fiscally aligned with capitalists - but I’m starting to think that contemporary conservatives are becoming ten times worse than the 2016 “blue-haired feminist.” Watching stuff like this, as well as people think they won some debate with a rando is just second-hand embarrassment for me, like having your six-year old son shit your pants and asking you to change it in front of everyone.

    The chatter was insanely vague and didn't expound on many of the positions they espoused. This is the problem with many rightoid arguments, a lot of the times they don't actually explain their positions, they keep things as vague as possible and then when we ask them to expound and explain their positions further so we dont misinterpret or strawman them and also so we can understand them further in general, they either pretend lefties are stupid for not getting it or that we're being dishonest and pretending not to get it, then when we interpret their positions to mean X, they will then claim we're strawmanning them. So there's really no winning with those kinds of folks. They've set up a game in which we're destined to lose (at least in their mind)

    It makes me cringe every time how it has to either be capitalism or socialism. Every system is inherently flawed. The best solution is never one system but to take aspects from multiple systems and put them together to build a superior system. The countries with health care for everyone still operate under capitalism, just heavily regulated capitalism. That allows them to have the incentive for innovation that comes with capitalism without any of the downfalls because the things that happen when capitalism gets out of hand are regulated. You don't need a socialist society to have workers rights. You don't need unregulated capitalism to have innovation and growth.
