Does that mean less salmon for the spawning ground and less for those upriver who depended on them for their living? I think massive trawlers with massive nets will one day be restricted so that more can benefit than just one or two greedy souls.

Muy arriesgado, este embarque debe hacerse con mucha precisión. Mis respetos al Jefe de Cubierta. Las probabilidades de romper el saco por medir mal una sola malla son altas. Cuando eso ocurre se pierde todo el trabajo... y el dinero

@@anthonygaller482 LoL I guess that's why ADFG canceled the Bearing Sea Crab season this year and the Salmon catch this year was so great, the State of Alaska had to fly salmon to the native villages along the Yukon - Let me know your age and that will answer a lot of questions I have about you.......... or you can just STFU and go back to cjherking off in your mom's basement.

chance I feel your comment was pretty idiotic, Michael... made a pretty good point actually. He wanted us, including you, to think about how much fish we humans actually are taking out of the see. If your brain 🧠 isn’t capable of se his point, that makes you an idiot. We understand you used the “Wigan” as an insult, but in my view, you showed the world how imbecile you are. I love eating fish and BIFF. Still I’m able to think about what we doing to this world Don’t you know what we humans have done in the past? I give you a hit that even you should get. Whales 🐋. If you still don’t know what I referring to, FU@# IDIOT, LOOK INTO IT, LOOK IT UP.

I've worked on a seine boat for a few years, and have sport fished all my life, and let me just say it is a lot more restrictive then sport fishing. Very strict regulations on number of boats, where you can fish, how many fish you can get, and the licenses are much more expensive than for sport fishing

Not only is the quota highly managed to be sustainable (through fish counters and such), most of the AK fish you see caught in this manner are MAN MADE runs. The fish eggs are hatched at a hatchery and released to the ocean where they live and grow before returning to the hatchery. In other words, many of these large scale fisheries are NOT natural fish returns. In fact, they are "terminal fisheries" which means if they are not caught, they will just die, mid water, because there is no spawning ground where they return and are netted. People may think they are making a point when you make comments about greed and overfishing but it only shows their ignorance of the facts
