If this is considered heavy traffic, welcome to São Paulo, Caracas, and Nairobi, even Stockholm. You wont even be able to lane splitting at times. Other than that, nice to see how LA is doing it. With thanks
Well just like how older video games are better old gear vs new gear well old was hilarious rude funny and offensive new top gear is basically a washed up woke bullshit no fun in it anymore Grand tour is basically the death of the trio that worked did the show for over 15 year's
Toronto Canada has the worst traffic.
Dude, you drive like an asshole. A contemptible asshole. Starting from 2:06, you swerved the person in the Saturn SUV, then straddled to line all the way to a stoplight and proceeded to give the person in the left lane TWO SECONDS to take their foot off the brake before you then blew you horn at them, tried to provoke them to engage you so you could tell "inform them of how badly they were driving", and then threaded the needle again between two vehicles? If you try that where I'm from, Ill back completely over you at the stoplight.
You are lane splitting and I know it's legal. However, it is against the law to travel faster than 10 mph over the speed of the surrounding traffic. At your speed, a car changing lanes cannot see you and you will hit the cars. The way you drive is not only against the law, you show utter disregard for the safety of other motorists.
The first time I watched was American Top Gear with Adam, Tanner, Rutledge. Back i haven't realized I had BBC channel. Jeremy, James, Richard were the show the cars were secondary it was fantastic.
Man I needed this video I live right by where the video first started also, I ride a 2009 ninja 250R thanks for this, keep em coming brotha 💪🏾💯
8 years later the traffic is FAR WORSE than it has ever been because every mofo wanna live in California
this video REALLY did not need to be 4 minutes long. Ultimately, still useful, but so much unnecessary filler
Dude I just got home and I was driving on the 105 I was driving on the middle of those yellow lines and a cop followed me and told me that’s not a lane so I seriously was confused. WTF is it legal or not I always ride like that.
:0 Incredible ! That's insane .
What are the motorcycle gloves you're using? i like them.
This video shows just how safe is it to ride on a freeway while being very efficient. I come from Taiwan, it's shameful that motorcycles are pohibited to ride on freeways.
Hey man are you okay? Are you alive?
I tried this and it didn't block out the wind noise for me. I made sure I followed instructions with pushing them inside my ears, and they almost came off when I removed my helmet due to how far they stick out. I don't recommend them.
i love how the justification for lane splitting is "it saves time" and "we're using space that's already there". yeah. that's exactly right. it's saving you time and you're using space. neither of those things makes it advisable or even remotely safe. i've been side swiped by a motorcyclist on an LA freeway before. sheared my mirror off and i was left holding the bag for the repairs. the biker didn't seem hurt but easily could have been - and for what? saved a little time? i get that bikes are small and they fit in tight places but nobody expects a motorcycle to come whizzing up from inches off your bumper while they're trying to maneuver through traffic in a CAR. it's startling and it's dangerous. just because it's legal in CA doesn't make it a good idea. if you do this on your bike, you should stop.
are those cat eye road refector not slide hazard?
I miss metric method man. Great shop
Thank you for the video. Help alot to bikers in LA. Just like me. 👍🏻👍🏻🙏
definitely better on a supermoto... the cruisers going down in it in another video did not look fun at all
Please everyone. This is not how to ride a motorcycle they dude broke like 7 laws. Never ever pass cars like this. This guy does not belong on the road.
Lane splitting is the best
Saying it’s great is one thing. Telling specificity why is the guts of a professional review
Advanced.....
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this particular bike. I just got this exact one a couple months ago used, and I love it. Coming from and R3 the Fj09 feels fantastic. I have Teneré in mind, good to hear your comparison also. 🤙🏽

Entitled motorcyclists!! You're asking for someone to hit you because you're in between two lanes, you're not as safe as you would be in a car & because you're much harder to see you're more likely to get in a wreck because of a motorcyclists wrecklessness!
Make sure to stay in a lane for a couple seconds and check your mirror before lane splitting again, don’t swing from middle of two lanes to another middle of two lanes there could be someone lane splitting going faster than you it’s unsafe.
Great info here, Thank you..How many liters fits in your tank?
It's called torque, something your 250 has never heard of!
Inarticulate lack of vocabulary … simplistic child like presentation … a very dull knife .
Interesting video material … sounds like a minor presenting … better silent .
Sweeeet, do you remember you gearing? Thanks
Considering the fact that there was no videos in 6 years I assume this guy has died lane splitting.
legal literally everywhere in europe
Manual cars make up less than 10% of vehicles sold in the US. Most sports cars are auto and it's not strictly because of convenience. They are significantly faster than their manual counterparts. I'm not trying to shit on manuals but let's be real here, automatics are more efficient at shifting, ... once you get your foot half-way thru the clutch, a high-end sports car can shift twice. Auto MPG is better, but that depends more so on how the car is driven. A driver can select current gear in many modern automatics with paddles. My auto GTI can shift as fast as your manual M5, plus I can drive with my hot chocolate in hand. Auto is more convenient for traffic. I once drove in a 5 hour traffic jam with a manual... never again! High-end sports bikes (liter) have auto up and down shift, so the transmission operates similar paddles on a steering wheel. The McLaren F1 was released in the 90s. Modern Mclarens have been out of the manual game for a while now. Other major car companies will drop manuals completely from their lineups by 2030. If I was tracking a car then maybe I would have a manual in the stable, but for practicality and everyday use, no thanks. Most people are driving to work, store, etc. and they want convenience and practicality over fun. The stats don't lie.
Would have been cool if they got Tim Allen, Jay Leno and someone else (I'll let you and the internet decide the 3rd) to have an American counter part to Top Gear/Grand Tour. They have the knowledge, passion, humor and history. They are the only celebrities that seem the same kind of caliber as Clarkson, May and Hammond. They also have similar style of humor and that humble blue collar persona, which is rare in celebrities.
Its not American! Its Deutschland! Its Porsche ;) Litte bit joking but the Engine is developed from Porsche :) greetings from Germany! (from a Night Rod Special Driver)
The engine isn't developed by Porsche, the engine was based off Harley's VR1000 race engine. Porsche had a bit of collaboration on the cooling and emissions systems, but the rest of that rig is all Harley. Look it up.
man i keep forgetting how soft people we’re back l them half the jokes you made would have gotten you canceled today lmao
ya i learned the hard way even wearing thick jeans you might as well be wearing shorts cause they offer no protection.
"LA has the worst traffic of anywhere in the world." I guess you've never been to Manila
“doesnt move at all” - all cars are actually moving lol
I'm all for lane splitting. But this guy is not safe. Way too fast and honking at stopped cars to move over. And "technically" splitting in between the two double yellows is illegal.
You are a life saver. I know it’s silly but I have wicked bad anxiety and have been literally paying my boss to fill my 50cc scooter. I just needed to watch the process once to get a grasp on it.
You're not alone, same thing with me this is a life saving video haha
I think you understand how amazing and inspiring it is that you opened up about your road anxiety! I do too.. it’s not fun lolll my cousin just gave me a moped.. I wish I could just order gas these days.🤨🙄
Don’t think*
Looks like a great way to shorten your expected lifespan.
Groms are fun af but tbh dual sports and supermotos are way more capable and versatile
It sounds like 1st to me but why you shifting tho Just get it to bp and forget about shifting (don't worry about distance)
Has to be the coolest subject that California has to offer
Thanks for the advice on how to handle the car wash question. I’m always so confused about what I should do there. 🤣
Is the quickshift is stock up and down both?
