    You think running that mount is gaining some of the blast chamber space back? Looks like the muzzle device ends where the hub threads start.

  • @VbdRetail
    @VbdRetail5 сағат бұрын

    @code_red7744 yeah it adds some volume. It doesn't add length though. I've been swapping over to A2 style mounts just due to the cost, availability, and the added room in blast chambers. Though if you wanted to stick to SF, the SF Style A2 device would have similar results. But a2 seems to be similar size to other options (xeno, rearden etc). But Keymo and larger SF Devices (Pronged , Brake) are going to fill up more Internal Volume. I also am a big fan of the A2 style due to there being a forcing cone (like reverse baffle similar to the Polo design). Which seems to lower back pressure on every suppressor. It creates a negative space and pseudo reflex chamber around the edges. That being said, mount or not, this suppressor significantly Lowers back pressure compared to other designs (we used a 762 proto a few months back on a SF Tested and gave the company feedback).

    @code_red7744 there is gas that comes back on these. But it's a very strange low velocity gas, on a windless day, it doesn't come back to your face. Specifically when we first tested the 762 model, we kept forgetting we were running a 762 suppressor on a 5.56 gun. It sounded great.. but after a mag dump, the Magazine itself has smoke leaking out of the bottom. But none got to our face. It was pretty cool to be honest. I really do think these guys found a perfect balance and refined it more on the dedicated 5.56 suppressor. I'm glad we got these in, and I know this isn't going to be one of those models we end up listing the demo unit for on our site. I'm keeping this, and running it. It really did impress me.

    Fantastic video and great discussion in the comments concerning tuning of the host weapon. I have a 12.5" criterion core carbine gas with BRT EZtune gas tube, A5H2 buffer, and LMT E-carrier running a CAT WB Ti suppressor and it is also a sewing machine. Yours seems to have slightly lower ROF than mine. Wish we could compare the 2 in person. I also have a 12.5" midlength from triarc also with a BRT EZ-tune, and it is also a sweet shooter. Slightly softer than the criterion. Running a regular sionics NP3 BCG in that one. The only difference.

    I mean, like you said, it isnt a fair comparison. The BT is longer and larger diameter, so suppression will likely be a little better. That being said, it is heavier, the first round flash is much brighter than the rc3's, and it adds more overall length to your rifle. • @VbdRetail
    @VbdRetail28 күн бұрын

    @spencerdahl931 yes, this is common with SureFire mounts. If you look. The bottom of the muzzle device has a raised nub (it's where the "scrotum" looking thing on the muzzle device is) And SF suppressors/Hubs have a notch inside of them. That nub slides into that notch/groove. The rotation is just the difference in those sizes. There is some wiggle room because if there wasn't, carbon would lock that up immediately. Also making it a pain to mount if it isn't perfectly clean. So that slight rotation is normal. Also, just to minimize chance of carbon locking. I'd say at least every 5 range trips or so, just take a brush and clean that notch/groove. And dab some copper anti seize on it. That is the Main culprit for carbon locking on that design.

    If we get the opportunity. But I'm not in a rush. If we run into one and enjoy it, I'd be more persuaded. Currently my concerning observations with CAT are 1. If you read their warranty. In the design there is an internal "screen" in the blast chamber designed to wear out in something like 500-1500 rounds. Which is not covered under warranty. Now the screen wearing is less a concern than "how is performance after its gone?". If it wears that quickly, I'd guess it plays a significant role in sound reduction. And all tests / reviews so far are on new suppressors. So I'd really like to see of it maintains that same level of performance over time. 2. Their attitude for being such a new company. I've got heavy K.B. vibes, which is fine. But with being so new, and bold claims paired with that attitude. It makes me wonder if they're going to stick around, or just going to dissappear and collect. 3. Not sure if they changed this yet or not. But last I checked. Their warranty only covers the use of their muzzle devices. But made a Hub suppressor. And during release had a very small amount of MD's compared to suppressors. Forcing majority of customers to either wait indefinitely or void the warranty. That just doesn't sit right with me. But, they may be great, the may be around for a while. Time will tell. At some point we will cross paths with one, and I'd love to record our impressions/comparison. Because at the end of the day, what I listed above is pure speculation, and I could be incorrect.

    @@VbdRetail thank you so much for the video. Really eye opening especially the flash performance of the B&T vs the surefire.

    @rahealharisshabbir we've been waiting on this one for a while. I'm excited to see how the compact performs. We would have had one for the Rotex K, but we have a backlog of pre ords on those, so there wasn't one leftover to test ourselves. As more come through we will be getting videos out. You may see something soon on 110 Sass Actuals channel in the upcoming week or 2

    @rahealharisshabbir as for the Rc3. We have had that for a while. And while I've always thought the price was insanely high. I wasn't too dis-satisfied on performance. But I was also comparing it to Hux. It was just a little louder than an Rc2, Flashier, but a very pleasant shooting expierence. After putting these side by side. My thoughts have completely changed. The SRBS really knocked it out of the park.

    Are you running muzzle break or flash hider with the Surfire? That makes a difference

  • @VbdRetail
    @VbdRetailАй бұрын

    We've already tested with 3 prong and 4 prong. Not much of a difference. But the brake would also effect the Srbs equally. Surefire also failed to acknowledge that issue until after they released it. You'd think you'd consider all the devices you offer. It just isn't worth what they're asking. Loud, flashy, and priced like it's made of platinum.

    I don’t find the RC3 is worse than the Rc2. I didn’t test with a close tine, but with a 4 prong. The Rc3 was equal if not better in performance to the Rc2.

    @@19840bwe have a video as well. It definitely seens worse than the RC2 we tried it on just about all the muzzle devices besides the warcomps. kzread.info/dash/bejne/aWd12amektS_fMY.htmlsi=HZoojd_8Mc4ahZ-W The RC3 would autogate my nightvision alot where an RC2 would not. My RC3 has definitely gotten flashier the more Ive used it as well.

    @maze1914 THATS A HOSS. We had a Compact 762 Rbs for a while. I wish we kept it for a belt fed. Sound was interesting. It sounded like a Gun shot. But with the Volume turned waaaaay down. At first I didn't think I'd like it, then took off my ear pro and realized I was 5ft behind a 308 gun with no hearing discomfort. But I will admit. That series was Heavy. I'd really like to see how many rounds it can handle cyclic before popping though.
