Definitely study the work of Dr David Ammon Hillman. Jesus calls out to the soldiers 'I am not a lactes!' translated loosly as trying to claim hes not a child predator. Hes a frigging pedophile and drug abuser, a cult leader to clearly behold and now wake up to, because you yoo now know. It was always there just hidden, we are largely indoctrinated to Christianity, its pure evil is what this christing is in the form its taken today.

Yes, this is very odd. Yeah, look for Ammon Hillman for expert scholarly take on this including mystery cult backstory. Another nomination for odd passage is Balaam's Donkey in Numbers. Let's even assume the talking donkey actually IS a miracle of God. What's still really odd about the story is Balaam doesn't think his talking donkey is miraculous at all. Instead, Balaam merely carries on arguing trivialities with his talking beast like it happens every day, like it's totally normal. He even goes on to insult and threaten his 'miraculous' donkey. Best explanation for me is it's an unmarked fable. Even some selective literalists will admit this. Many fables of old had talking animals plus a fable doesn't have to make sense since you just play along with the fantastical elements for fun.

So as revelations has told us, tribulation must come first, then the second coming of Christ, then the millenial reign. We know this because the anti-christ that rules the world and does war against the saints is defeated at the second coming of Christ where the false prophet and beast are cast into the fire alive meaning they did not die by humans. After this the millenial reign begins where we who lived for Christ before are ministers of God and Jesus Christ. At the end of which Satan is released and gathers the nations for battle losing obviously, but then he is cast into the fire where the beast and false prophet are. It even specifies that they are already there at the time of the dragon being cast into the fire. I don't say all this as an attack. I simple want to point out what is known thanks to revelations and how does amillenialism explain this timeline.

You can get translations from the original Greek on some bible sites. It’s very weird and creepy what’s going on. Of course Christians have no interest in the truth. They made a caricature of the person of Jesus and they are sticking to it.

I am taking care of my parents. I was a caregiver for my dad until he passed away in January 2023. I took care of him for 8 years. I am now taking care of my 86 year old mother. She is in good health, but I help her with navigating living in a technology-advanced world. I also provide her company. I live with her. There is a verse in the Bible that says in effect to take care of your parents for this pleases the Lord. And all I want to do is to please him.❤

No. There is a catching up into the clouds before the man of sin is revealed. We know the man of sin stands in the Holy Place mid-way through a 7 year period also referred to as Jacob’s trouble. Jesus’ return in the clouds isn’t his 2nd coming. At the end of the 7 years, his feet touch the ground = 2nd coming.

I thought about this very thing today. My son wants me to be more motherly to him and available to cook more for one example. Unfortunately I am filling the role of the head of my household and spend and have spent a great amount of time running my home in every aspect and it has had detrimental effects. Also my father raised me since third grade and that wasn't biblically either, so I lacked biblical examples of the gender roles and family structure as well. I don't say this with a victim mentality because God can still use this for His glory. I just agree that this wasn't the way He intended for any of this to be.

You Hillman cultist should read the Bible for yourselves instead of taking his word for it - especially when he searches out rare translations and weaves them together to create something an atheist thinks is provocative. He doesn’t say “I’m not a trafficker!” He essentially says “I’ve been in the temple, you’ve seen me there (know who I am). Why are you now coming at me with swords like I’m a thief?”

@@hondotheology Nice "christian" response! No, I don't think devout religious believers are stupid. I think they are people, like many of us, who take comfort in simple, old-time explanations in a time of very complex social and economic upheaval. Some of us remember a bible verse from our childhood about doing childish things when we were children but putting away childish ways when we became adults. It is very hard to confront reality, even harder to do something effective about it, and very unsettling to give up old traditions which we previously accepted unquestioningly. I personally have had some help along the way: my garden and compost pile have taught me about the eternal inevitable cycle of life and death, and help me remember another true bible verse about earth to earth, dust to dust (although I just discovered that the actual quote is from the Book of Common Prayer). We like the idea of having a separate soul that goes somewhere after we die, but I find reality every bit as comforting, knowing that here in life I did as much kindness to others as I could, and when I die (soon, I am 75!) I will return to the earth to provide nutrients for new life. I have spread the remains of rotted leaves, grass and kitchen scraps, fully composted, onto my new tomato and bean beds for 50 years, and my harvests have been plentiful.

At least some Amillennialists believe that the Christians who have died are ruling with Christ from Heaven. This takes place during the time between Christ’s First and Second Comings. They believe Satan is bound. Here is a major problem with that; If we just take a simple look at the world today it certainly does not appear that Satan is bound (so as not to deceive the nations) and Christ is ruling and reigning. If Satan is bound during the Church Age as per Amillennial doctrine, then why does scripture call him the god of this world? Also, if Satan was bound and Christ was reigning, do we really think we would have over a billion Muslims, who view Jesus as a prophet right below Mohamad, a billion Buddhists, who believe Jesus was an enlightened person, a billion Hindus, who believe Jesus studied yoga and became a guru to the Jews, a billion Catholics who are entrusting their souls to Mary at the hour of their death, nearly a billion atheists, the LGBTQ running rampant, TV shows and movies, that continually blaspheme God and His Christ, drinking, drugs, human trafficking, and colleges that have become propaganda mills that promote Godless, Big-bang theology and Darwinian Evolution, and a host of other sinful deeds that will be eliminated during the reign of Jesus Christ, our Holy God. This is a good example of eisegesis; reading pre-conceived ideas into the text, rather than simply reading what the text is clearly stating. Also, with Christ ruling from Heaven, why does 2nd Timothy 3:1-13 say, "But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God."

Jacob is Israel. Abraham is not Israel. We are both descendants of Abraham Jew and gentile. Just like believers now are not all true believers as Jesus spoke of wheat and tares. Same with natural Israel. Some are children of Abraham and the promise and some are not. But to claim all these OT prophecies about the restoration of the 12 tribes with the Lord reigning in their midst, are just about the church is doing a huge injustice to the scriptures. The end of Romans 11 plainly states a partial hardening has come upon Israel till Jesus comes again to banish the ungodliness from them. Why is it still separating a time of the gentiles and this partially hardened Israel if we were Israel? And your Galatians quote is plain wrong. He wouldn’t have included the “AND” if he was calling the church the Israel of God. “And as for all who walk by this rule, peace and mercy be upon THEM, AND upon the ISRAEL of God.” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6‬:‭16‬ ‭

As someone who does not place a high value on tradition, and who is skeptical of man-made doctrine, I have struggled with whether or not a liturgical service could be authentic and biblical. Your video helped me see past the fact that these words were written by men from institutions which have historically, and in some ways currently, hold positions I don’t support. Now, I can genuinely get behind the idea of having a somewhat formulaic service. And I can see the biblical context for doing it.

His physical and mental health is much better now, and I'm grateful to have played a role in that. Second- You seemed to just ignore Mark 7:10. This is a tough verse for me. Isn't Jesus criticizing the Pharisees here because they AREN'T willing to stone children who dishonor their parents, but are instead finding a way to rationalize their way out of following that law?
