theo smid. This is Pride II. Pride of Baltimore I was lost in a white squall in 1986. She went down in the Atlantic Ocean while sailing home to Baltimore from the BVI. Four of the 12 crew were lost with her. Pride I was essentially an exact replica of an 1812 Baltimore Clipper. Steered with a tiller. Pride II is very similar but built to meet USCG standards for carrying passengers. Both ships were/are magnificent.

This is a beautiful ship I would love to see her tour the west coast with the Lady Washington and the Hawaiian Chieftain. They stop at several ports in CA, OR, and WA every year they just left Coos Bay near where we live.

Out basement got flooded as well, the water was comming up through the floor drains and out of the toilet in the basement. It wouldn't be so bad, but it was sewer water. We've had about $30 000 in flood damage, so now we get to redo our entire basement at the expense of our insurance company :) It's not all bad :P

I live in Stoney Creek and we had about 14" of water in our basement. Just the contents alone have amounted to about $15 000 damage, and the estimated for cleanup, restoration and repair to the house are probably going to top out at close to another $10 000. And my house wasn't as bad as some! Others had 5 feet of mixed storm drain overflow and raw sewage. The water was coming up from my basement drain pipe like a fountain for almost an hour.

we were on the red hill when it was flooding..had to back up & find the king st exit..couldnt see a bloody thing in the rear window...pretty scary. Makes you wonder if they screwed up while building the new Hyway?

My family got out of this pretty unscathed, probably because we live in the Stoney Creek Mountain area, but I was still hugely surprised by this. When the storm was hitting and the power was still out, I didn't think it would amount to flooding. I was surprised when the power came back on and I saw the news last night.
