Love it! Already pre-ordered two copies for my own kid. Going to get more for my nieces soon.
@@mommalion7028 Thanks for believing in my book! It means a lot. ❤️
Jersey it’s so great to hear your voice again.
Kind of you. :) I'm ramping up more of these to create a signal around Doctor Baer's release, so I'm glad to hear it won't be bad news when the new episodes drop.
Your insight on color
Thank you for sharing this Jerzy! What a great accomplishment. Time well spent! Thank you also for the great advice. As always, very insightful. I look forward to September :)
What a kind response! Thank you, it's gratifying to hear my thoughts described as insightful :'). I hope the book meets you well in September!

I am so sorry that FNAF released a character named baron von bear. Honestly they have too many characters these days. It’s like not trying to write a Simpson plot but for naming talking animals at this point. the mascot horror genre is hoarding all the names so actual kids lit can’t use them. :( want me to find the dude who took baron von bears name and give that game dev a wedgie? Anyway, I am happy to meet Doctor Baer when he arrives this fall! :) is the publisher considering a sticker set?
Thanks, @mommalion7028! I'm actually at peace with the whole business regarding Doctor Baer's name. When I got the news it was an angry drive home, though! I'm grateful for your enthusiasm for the book. I'm actually working on a bunch of fun pieces of merchandise to go along with it when it comes out this fall. It's been a fun season of experimentation that I can't wait to talk about!
What the fuxk am j watching it's so late
that correct line width tool just blew my mind. thank you so much for sharing this
I'm so glad! Thanks for watching.
I'm using a csp pencil for final line art on the book I'm working on and have been dreading doing flats. this just saved my bacon! @@JerzyDrozd

This channel is the best 😆
Hey your the guy who came to my school hi
Hi! Yes, I'm the artist who visited your school. Thanks for welcoming me there!
Hey guys! I'm having a problem with productivity - of getting things done - that have to do with prioritizing my day, including art. I haven't gotten much done because it's hard to focus when there's so many things I can/have to do during the day Could you possibly discuss something about it on your show? I would be really appreciative!
Adding this to our topic list. Thanks for the suggestion, and thanks for watching!
Great stuff! Thank you.
I just bought one of your books! I'm from westfall.. I asked what his weirdest drawing was haha.. can't wait to read it!
Super! I'll be glad to sign it of our paths cross at school. Hope you like it!
@@JerzyDrozd Thank you! It will be here tomorrow!
I had a crush on Speed Racer as a kid. Now, 40 yrs later I am happy and content driving semi's for a living.
Another awesome workshop. Thank you!
I'm glad it was useful! Thanks for watching.
This helped me a lot. Thanks!
I'm so glad to hear it, John! Let us know if you wind up taking on that project that frightens you and how you experience it.
How do you separate layers when flatting? Does each panel have a layer, or each object in every panel? Example: in panel 1 of the sample page would the cats hat, jacket, pipe, etc...have their own layers?
All of my flats are all on one layer. I make the flats layer a reference layer (clicking the little lighthouse icon in the layer palette while the flats layer is selected), then create two new layers above it. The first layer I call "Highlights" and I set its blending mode to "lighten." The second layer I call "Shadows" and I set its blending mode to "multiply." Both layers are set to 50% opacity. Then I use the Auto Select Tool - Refer other layers to select and in the sub tool menu I select "Reference Layer" in the "Refer multiple" section. From then on I can work on the highlights or shadows layer, but when I use the Auto Select tool, it selects color shapes defined on the flats layer. Hope this helps!
I am a student in Mrs. Fullers art class at Westfall middle school. Love the art! I am in 7th grade haha.. I absolutely love comics. I have at least 50 or more next to me as I'm writing this. I enjoyed making the little mini comics in Mrs. Daniels class as well. Have a good day! 👊✌👌👌💯💯
Thanks for stopping by the channel, Avery! I'm so glad to hear that you love comics so much--I think they're pretty great, myself. Looking forward to working with you more in Mrs. Fullers' class.
Beautiful painting, lovely coloring and simple theme that anyone can learn and follow with steps.
The reference tool/paint bucket trick is one I use all the time. (Been trying to demonstrate it during Art Soundoff but technical issues messed that up.) The correct line width trick I would have thought worked for the line art. I just use the eraser and brush to fill in or clean out areas. Of course I do my own colors and my art style is light on details.
Great demo! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
As I’m starting to use CSP for all things comic creation, this video is PRICELESS! Thanks for all you do guys!
I'm so glad it was helpful! LMK if there are any other CSP tools you'd like demoed.
Daaayyyum! Thank you so much for this guys!
Very useful. I’ve been using clip studio since 2005(?) and haven’t really got the hang of these tools. Nice episode.
Also Robs guitar🤟
I have been loving these live-streams! Watching you create your comic has given me so many things to think about when I approach my comic. Thank you for sharing!
I'm so glad! Thanks for watching them. I hope they continue to be helpful/useful.
Get Jerzy. Just found your channel here, always enjoyed watching you draw when we worked at the casino. Also knew you would do good by it. P.S. I was the guy who smoked a pipe.
Cool!
More of these videos please!
Thanks for sharing! It’s so fun watching this page come together. I believe you said you’re going to ink over this. So are you doing refined pencils over rough pencils in this video?
And thanks for talking about floro dery transformers fans don't put enough respect on his contributions to transformers
Agreed! I've been chasing his design sensibility for as long as I can remember.
I was collecting 3rd party g1 transformers while listening to art & story when you said beast wars was your favorite. Love the podcast your laugh is infectious.
I kind of expected that you gonna turn out to be Polish, judging by the name of the channel of yours. Then I heard the struggling when you tried to introduce yourself, found it extremely hilarious (as a Pole myself). Anyway fine content probably going to stay for more. Jerzy to całkiem trudne do wymówienia imię nawet dla niejednego Polaka ;v Apologizes for any grammatical mistakes.
I AM IN LOVE with the Octopus Teacher!!!! Such a gorgeous, moving, movie!
Old as me
So I was thinking of what would be a good replacement for Inktober because my understanding is Jeff Parker is being a dick so I came up with this 1 find a public domain mad scientist, inventor, or doctor that made a whacky creation 2. come up with 31 panel comic of them using that creation to become a masked crime figher 3 Draw one panel of said comic every day of october and post it onto social media 4 Tell Jeff Parker to go fly a kite! 5 Because this challenge was inspired by Hank Pym scientist who shrunk himself and fought ants in Tales to Astonish for the first year try to find scientist from books with "tales" in the title (if there are any) EXTREME CHALLENGE MODE instead of a 31 panel comic make it a 31 PAGE comic. Pad out the workload by remastering the original story if you like. and was going to call it #doctober but some streamer used that last year along with some wholigans so my buddy suggested #doctobercomics but thought this might be a good place to crowd source other suggestions and get some general feedback
Great show guys!
Uhhh
Hey It's Jon! He has a cool art style
Nice drawing ✍️
