Hi! Im planning on doing something like you did except the lights that I already did a couple of months ago. Do you reckon I'll be alright with 1 spray primer 400ml 2 spray paint 400ml x2 1 clear coat 400ml ??? Thanks!!
Hi, nice Videos. I live in Germany and bought a used London Cab here. It's from 2011. Can anyone tell me how I can program the remote control for the door locking?
@@martinsevering Hi thanks for the message ! Glad you like the vids, i dont know how to program the remote im afraid
Nice job. Do you get any knocking on the back with the aftermarket exhaust?
Thanks so much, no i dont get any knocking at all, its a magnex exhaust thats been on the car since around 1993 so not sure if they were better made back then, hope this helps, Regards MEC 👍👍
If I didn't have a Puma I'd have a Capri. Good job on keeping her on the road.
Thanks so much ! Glad to hear you have a Puma too 👍👍
Hi MEC - well done - and a good result at the MOT centre - its a nice Capri D
@@g3rcq thanks wak, least its another PROPER Capri back on the road 👍👍👍
Yippee… capri content 👍🏻 Please change those rear tyres for safety’s sake! They are the original factory tyres & so are 40 odd years old 😮 … are the front ones the same? So sorry but I I can’t help myself but have to mention the side stripes & boot decal are wrong, should be red over silver sorry!😬😬 didn’t notice before! Keep the videos coming your great & an inspiration 👍🏻
Hi thanks so much for the message and info, yes i deffo need to change the tyres, the fronts are newer but still very old, the stripes are an interesting one, ive seen other with it round the other way and have no doubt owned a few (il have to check my pics) but i did find a pic of a Cardinal Red 2.8i that i restored and the stripes I put on that were silver over red, not sure if this is because it was a red car and it would blend in to much, the ones i put on were the same as the originals, this car has deffo been painted in the past before i got it so i guess they either chose the wrong stripes for the body colour or just prefered them, il never know i guess, good to know if i change them in the future, glad you like the vid ! All the best MEC 👍👍👍
Well Done.
@@dave-huston-dublin thanks so much ! 👍👍👍

Hi thanks the msg and info ! What model are the t-sport injectors out of ? Or are they aftermarket ? 👍
@@mec-tec from the yaris t-sport go in a bunch of other 1.5 ish toyotas ill get a link
@@TacticalKeyboardOperator awesome ! Thanks for the info 👍👍
@@mec-tec thats the injector its not the seller i bought it from they sold out probly find it cheaper i got 4 for 25 quid.. need to change the top O-rings off the standard injector onto the T-sports which does require abit of plastic file'd away and it fits best with the bottom thick O-ring from the t sport injector
After you inform your insurance watch the cost rise, they want all the details!

Hiya mate, just on the process of trying to match paints and i was wondering if you knew the colour name of your fiesta? My fiesta is the same colour but i cant seem to find a paint code on my car. But i think i may have found the name, State Blue Mica. Would you be able to find the code on ur VIN for me so i could confirm, or just let me know what part of the VIN the code is?
Hi mate, im afraid i dont have the car anymore to give you the VIN but i can confirm the colour is Ford State Blue Mettalic 👍 hope this helps 👍👍
@@mec-tec Thank you very much
Great job, very nice! Tenant in my building has a similar Mini except petrol (no diesel in the US) and sunroof. Manual. Got a better deal as many do not know how to drive a manual!
Hi mate, thanks so much glad u like it, thats superb getting a better deal on a manual, i would say theres more manuals in the UK than autos, although there are alot more autos in the newer models 👍
Nice work! Can I ask what compressor you use, I've tried a da with my 50 litre supposedly 9cfm one, but get about 5 seconds before it's on its arse giving a whole load of no effort 😂😂
Hi thanks ! Thanks so much ! 👍👍👍
you did a great job between you
Thanks so much ! 👍👍👍
I'm 59-years-old & I've owned all sorts of vehicles from ratty old vans to warp speed sports bikes. I always used to think cars like the 107 were a bit of a joke but I ended up buying one last year and I've been smitten ever since. It's saving me £150 a month on my previous car (a Mazda 3) in tax and petrol. It's also great fun to drive. It feels soulful. It's like driving a classic car without the fragility of a classic. I love the back to basics feel, the minimalism, the driving position and the engine/exhaust note. It's such a characterful car. It reminds me of the cars I was driving when I passed my test in the early 80s. You have far more fun at low speeds than other drivers do in their performance cars. It's great on motorways too, despite what some people say. It has plenty of overtaking poke. Hills slow it down somewhat but so what? I just drive to the capabilities of the car and enjoy it for what it is. Epic cars!
Hi thanks for the message, i totally agree with you on everything ! Superb cars 👍👍👍
Where are them wheels from? Thanks
Hi, I bought them second hand from FB marketplace, they are Manaray Euro Edition Wheels WK-139, 15x6.5J ET38, hope this helps 👍
Excellent 👌
Where he is cleaning the VVT solenoid there is also an oil stainer there which is a 8mm hex. Just remove the 10mm bolt holding the dipstick support bracket to give you more room. Stupid bloke stupid videos just did a KZread video on how to do it. Also a note on towing. The car has no type approval for towing so he might want to check with his insurance before he takes the trailer out as it might be a case of he's not covered. The tow bars sold are for bike racks only.
@@gavjlewis hi mate, thanks for the info, i totally forgot about that oil strainer, on the plus side, cleaning the solinoid appears to have cured the ticking on cold start so thats good, on the towing side, yep dans aware there only really supose to be for a bike rack, he will only use it ocasionally, it seems to do well towing his box trailer though 👍👍
Superb job. Thank you for sharing!
@@DrStrange1000 thanks alot ! Glad you liked it 👍👍
Nice Turnaround !
Thanks so much ! 👍👍
Hi MEC - I reckon it is worth more now it's all cleaned - bet Dan was HAPPY! another enjoyable video - D
Yep i think ur 100% right there ! He is very happy with it, i think it looks awesome 👍👍👍
Can't go wrong with a Citybug video. 👍
I couldn't get my oil pan bolt out. Previous mechanic must of screwed it tight and damaged the bolt head.
@@TimpBizkit thats a nightmare ! Hope u got it undone ok 👍
@@mec-tec tried a 13 mm and it slipped on the top half, and a 14 mm slipped all around. I will just take it to the mechanic and ask him to fit a new plug. I have already bought the oil and filter so should just have to pay for the labour. I suppose I could file the bolt head if I was patient enough. I have the 1.2 fiesta 58 plate.
Ich habe es gerade beim tx4 erledigt. Die Bremse wird immer wieder viel zu 🔥. Ich habe noch keine Lösung. Sie ist maximal entspannt und schleift nicht.
My pads also wear differently like yours too, dont know why. Every time drivers side is well worn and other side has a bit of meat left, raised it with the garage that has done the brakes a few times and they said its nothing to worry about as only around a couple k miles difference in the pads. Only thing i can think of perhaps more weight on the drivers side cos of the drivers seat and no passenger seat on other side ?
Hi mate, thanks for the message, mine seems to wear more on the passenger side, no idea why, both calipers are free as u saw in the vid, very strange 🤔
Think seen u lca 😅
Haha more than likely mate, i am often around there 👍👍👍
Hasn't got pollen filter 😅
I came to that conclusion too 🙈
Discs bit pain to do as need to remove whole hub .why didn't make like car held by one screw
Haha yes that right, its more of an old school design, same as my capri, the discs bolt on the hubs on that too, not to bad to do once you have done em before 👍👍
Normally on euro 6 tpms and everyone disconnect them as pain give weong reading
Yep thats what the previous owner said hence her getting it disconnected, sounds like its a good thing 👍👍
Another great video, many thanks. I have a 2007 TX4 that i use to transport my grandchildren. I bought it from Chops Garage, another youtuber. I am missing the advertising stickers for the back flip up seats. Can you help me get a set.
Thanks so much glad u liked it, good to hear you have one too, i have no idea where to get the advertising stickers tbh, they came on the cab from new 👍
Hi m8. When you get the poly bushes they supply the Metal washers/shims which sometimes cant fit the new bushes on the rod. I found that once the bushes have settled you can then later pop in the washers/shims to tighten the wishbones up again.
Hi, thanks for the info ! I dont think i got shims with mine, good to know for future though 👍👍
@@mec-tec When you did your 1st wishbone polybush replacement they came with the shims but I noticed you never used them because the bushes were tight and didn't need them. The shims/washers have a slight dome which recess into the bush.
@@wilyboo ah i see, my memory is terrible 😆 They do have a washer either side, ive no idea where the extra shims went 😄
Another fantastic video. Love taxi video my Favourite Essentially saving you money from going to the garage doing the Maintenance yourself.
Hi, thanks ! Glad you like the vid, yep its deffo a money saver for sure, garages cost a fortune ! 👍👍
Plus saves a ton of time, the commute there and back plus waiting around is like half a day, when you can be on the road earning instead
18,000 miles out of a set of pads?
Hi, do you mean from when i fitted the discs ? Its had one other set of pads in between that vid and this one, not sure on the mileage 👍
I’m only getting 18,000 miles out of mine. Can’t believe how heavy they are on the brakes compared with a manual TX4.
@@Br1anuk yes they do reply on the brakes alot, il have to check the next time i change them and see what i get out of em 👍
@@Br1anuk18k is pretty good for a tx4. I used to only get around 12 to 15k on pads sometimes less. Past couple brake changes though I have been using ebc pads and get 25k, only £20 a set. Someone else has claimed they got 50k on a set of pagids brake pads, seems a lot
There ain’t a pollen filter.👎🏼
I did wonder, thanks for the info 👍👍
Hi MEC - I like the strap around the tree - many jobs were corrected - which is good - I wonder what other cabbies do when things go wrong - payout I guess - 3000 subscribers - well done D
