STEPHEN (WOLFY) SMITH… Over ten years ago I was hiking in South America when I met a couple of Adventure Riders crossing the Andes on their BMW 1150 GS motors. I realised then and there I was tired of trekking and wanted to ride my adventures.
I started Adventure Moto with the idea of bringing in the best gear and parts I would ride with on my own Adventures. I’m not an ex-pro racer, I don’t think I am a better rider than the next bloke, I just love being a 95%er, that is someone who would rather be riding dirt and trail than the blacktop.
We have become the premier supplier in Australia of the best gear for riders that seek the road less travelled. Our team members are all riders and personally believe in the gear we sell. Life is full of choices. You choose to ride and we choose to give you the best choices in products for your adventures! We offer service, warranty and advice with a smile and energy that relays our passion for what what we do and who we are.

im in rural WA.. the roads around me consist of two extremes - nice highways, 110kmh with nice corners.. and bauxite gravel roads (red marbles of 1-2cm diameter sitting on top of hard-pack). what would be best for me? red gravel marbles usually require big knobby motorcross/enduro tyres for best traction, and highways prefer slicks.. what am i to do?? whats gonna be smooth for the highway, but knobby for the loose stuff? while i see 80highway/20gravel use, that 20% gravel REALLY needs to _just work_ on gravel, its dangerous stuff
TKC 80 front and back on GS1200, 5000 miles, unparalleled off-road, killer on road as well.
You think klim would add a diagram in the little booklet telling you how to do that when you buy one of these jackets
When your talking about the heavy Dunlop, are you talking about the raid? Or the mission?
Bloody good advice, especially on those big bikes. Cheers Steve!
Worth noting that Motoz Adventure/Rallz are very noisy so consider that when considering them. Bridgestone Ax 41 worth throwing in the mix as a 50/50
Noisy on the road but if you buy them for the road you are doing something wrong
the ax41 are noticeably noisy the last half off their life..
Great explanation. Too many choices. I run motaz Tractionator Adventure on my 1290 very happy. Had the GPS on my F850 amazing longevity and excelled everywhere except deep mud so that was the compromise. Very tempted to try Karoo 4 next. Thanks Steve.
Scary on tarmac. Some say dangerous
Can I respectfully say, the constant cuts and joins are extremely distracting, to me at least, and less than halfway through I was focused on trying not to notice it than the information you were trying to share. I don’t know if this is a “thing” in editing as I notice it with some videos more than others or if there were a heap of mistakes or background stuff going on. But bloody annoying and put me off watching the second video. Just one persons opinion but I’m confident not the only one to notice.
Could not agree more! Unwatchable!
@@johnmartin7144 pretty much, yeah
Then you are watching for the wrong reason, its not supposed to flow like a story in Revzilla, but it is supposed to be informative and let you know what the OP thought of each tire. You're unhappy because of a slight glitch in a video that you clicked on, gfy.
With today's technology why is there not a unicorn tire?? I mean they make 4wheel drive and car tires that get 80 to 100 thousand miles why cant they make a motorcycle tire that gets good off road traction and good on road traction that 15 thousand miles??
Not one that would allow you to turn the bike lol
there is a smaller contact patch for motorcycle tires 90% of the time so they wear out faster.
Who won the bike ?
I've been happy with the Motoz Dualventure Front and GPS rear on the GS.
Help : Should i get the same tyres on the Front and Back like same Trade Pattern/ tire series as i could only find tire with same pattern series that fit both of em. ??
You don’t have to, I never do
I got the 2024 Scrambler 1200X. I am very happy with this bike, I do want rear Pannier Racks,,,,whoever made the Rack should please advertise, Many Scrambler owners will want to buy and fit it to their bikes.... David.....Adelaide....Scrambler 1200X......
Safe travels Sonny!
“Good - Fast - Cheap - Pick two” I like a TKC-80 or Karoo 3 or 4 pair, lots of confidence and grip but not cheap.
The engineers triangle states “Good - Fast - Cheap - Pick two”.
That's not really how it is. More like: Awesome until the meeting with the marketing and sales department,
@@ogoshikimura5621 thats not even how it works. engineering/marketing/sales = impotent fools. accounting = god.
Excellent feedback good video
thanks for the vid, Might be time to do a media course.
Thanks for making this, but would have loved to have heard some of the answers. Ask open questions, wait for complete answers, allow the editor to tighten it up after with B-roll, reactions and cutaways. Cheers for making it, but difficult to watch.
How would these compare to the Forma Pilot nowadays?
Its 2024, I have just seen your review and I bloody like it. In fact I am buying a 2023, will be fitting a rear rack, lower crash bar, metal bash plate, Barkbusters and metal radiator guard, and heated handgrips....oh yes and a Screen to reduce wind bashing me! David....Adelaide.....
Finally an actual review not talking colours and looks

Just installed mine today. Well done as it's hard to find quality these days.
Wow...I'm actually going to go medium.
Great video thanks for saving me countless minutes to hours searching for the hose routing and wondering the entire time if it really has it.
I have been using this gear since 2017, it is worth the money ! It washes up like new, it keeps me dry and it has excellent armour (which I hope I don"t need). I still don't need any new gear, but if I do, I will definately buy Klim again.
about time :)
Hello from Canada .....excellent video...thank you! What brand are your panier racks and engine crash bars? Thx!
i feel the same way about my XC. love the enthusiasm you both have about this bike. cheers !
is this seat really comfier than the original?
My dude popped off the bike in the middle of nowhere and presented a more comprehensive review than most of the ones i've seen about this bike.
Would be useful to see the sizing on some plus-size men...
don’t need that old used bike. got a brand new shiny new 2022 XC
I got a brand new 2023 xc. How is your old bike?
@@bobjohnson1633 : lol. Mine is new. 2022 XC. Love this thing. Wish I could park it in my bedroom and say good night honey hehe
Hello there. I am wondering if I need the extension for my Suzuki DL650 XAA Vstrom 2021?
I wasn't going to say anything, but this guy loves to interupt. STFU for a second and listen. Every time the guy started talking about something interesting he got interupted.

How to win
I guess teknik doesn't stop by this page and see the comments much, looks like.
Just a quick question.. Will it chafe the nipples?
awesome initiative - good on ya Adventure Moto .. shows that the ADV community has heart and cares ..
I see the recommendation for an 80 N/mm shock spring, saying the 85 was too harsh for a rider at 120 kg. That's one or two grades lighter spring grade than we see suggested by K Tech and Rally Raid on their charts. I wonder what the explanation for that difference is? I'm about to respring my T7 and I don't want to get the wrong spring rates. I'm about 105 kg with gear, plus the bits on and tools weigh another maybe 10 or 15 kg. Was looking at an 85 or 90 N/mm spring according to the charts, but now I wonder is that too stiff. And what should the fork spring rate be.

🤞 merry Christmas 🎁
For large what is size of the chest
Don't buy this kit for a GS/A LC. There is only ONE hex head that you would need, it's a 17mm all the rest are torques T-24, 27, 45, 50.
And a spindle socket . I wonder how many people are daft enough to buy these kits
Where do i find the crashbar?
Hi mate, is the top visor detachable?
Why bother to go get an expert opinion and just talk over him the whole time ? We were given 2 ears 2 eyes and only 1 mouth ....guess what we should use the most .
Nicely done!
