No, Big Boys have a 4-8-8-4 wheel arrangement. 2926 is a 4-8-4 northern.

Last I read (early last week), 2926 and 3751 are to receive the same FRA-approved PTC equipment that is currently being used on CP 2816

Oh my GOD of All Machines! What a smart and *well-behaved* locomotive! I know its unburdened but still the responsiveness of that loco to throttle and break inputs between 3:50 and 4:27 is *unbelievable*!

@@timdouglas8800 Unfortunately, 2926 probably won't be running on the Transcon anytime soon except for ferry moves, but hey, if it can put in regular appearances on the New Mexico state-owned line north of Albuquerque, or at either Sky Rail or the Grand Canyon Railway, that would be awesome too!!

@@timdouglas8800 But aren't we all glad that a lot of effort has been made to take these beautiful machines out of storage or museums and let them run again? I love seeing them start running. They breath, they struggle, they seem to almost be living machines. That, along with their power and design makes these steam locomotives some of the best preserved, pre-computer machines that we have left.
