This is now one of my favorite game reviews I’ve ever seen on KZread! The main points were very insightful, and could probably be applied to games outside of the Mario series (like how a few ideas that are fleshed out can be more memorable than many ideas that are barely explored). I also really appreciate your ideas for how you would improve upon Galaxy’s weaknesses. It’s easy to criticize a game, but it takes much more effort to come up with feasible improvements based on your critiques. What really blew my mind was when you said that Odyssey was the game that Galaxy could’ve been. Before watching this video, if you asked me what my favorite Mario games were, I would’ve just said both Galaxy 1 and 2. But I never really had a strong desire to replay either game as much as I do with Odyssey. And now that you’ve shown how Odyssey is like a better version of Galaxy, it’s making me realize that I might’ve been wrong about what my favorite Mario is this whole time… But there’s more to Galaxy than the gameplay. There’s also the music, the visuals, and the plot, which the video doesn’t really cover. You’re right about Galaxy being more popular than the other 3D Marios, and I’m pretty sure these components are what carry the game. I think people only like this game so much because of how theatrical it feels (and also because of a certain side character, but I won’t start that discussion right now). Maybe Galaxy would’ve worked better as a movie than a video game? Probably an RPG at least, since those can have lots of cutscenes. Yet the Mario series is generally beloved for its gameplay rather than its stories, so it’s weird that the best Mario game to a lot of people is something that’s so distinctly un-Mario-esque. Anyway, I learned a lot with this video, and I really enjoyed the artwork and the improvised sound effects. Good stuff!

What happened to Sora when he released his heart isn't actually that complicated. Contrived but not complicated. Basically for the final part of kh1, all of com, and the first part of kh2, Sora IS a heartless. Keep in mind Ansem is a heartless also but looks like a human. All Kairi did was help him remember himself

i feel like im the only one ive known who enjoyed the game from moment one. im someone who gets a lot out of games that attempt evoke melancholy, its a relatively rare emotion to get out of the medium, and death stranding's intro is excellent at that. the sheer loneliness and sense of strained hope within the setting comes across so strong, both in the narrative and gameplay. if only there was a word to describe resonance between storytelling and gameplay mechanics..... im sure i'd use it a lot to talk about this game, wa ha ha

This is still one of my favorite videos to send people who want to know about Kingdom hearts. When I listened to your voice doing the voice over it makes me laugh because I suddenly think of the oversimplified history guy narrating this with the attitude of the BattleBlock theater narrator😊
