Well done Brent on the Kiribati coin, both as a coin and for the correct pronunciation, as rare as hens teeth!! Unfortunately not particularly valuable. You are right that the 1c is the most common though. Tuvalu is also rare, they were once united under British Admin as the Gilbert and Ellice Islands. I just cannot believe how cheap coins are in America, especially British Commonwealth. You are very lucky in America in that regard!! The Bread fruit is still a staple food on poor Pacific Islands. The bread fruit was one of the reasons Cpt Bligh (of Mutinty on the Bounty fame) was in the Pacific, as the Brits wanted seedlings to grow in the Caribbean to help feed the African slaves in the Americas. Best wishes buddy from sunny but freezing Sth East Qld, the temperature has fallen to 7 degrees Celsius here in the mornings, enough to make an American laugh I imagine!! How cold does it get where you reside?? Cheers Jason// P.S if you have coin/ bullion dealers or jewelers in your district they will almost certainly have a sigma machine and you can scan the coin for purity without damage

The Dutch 'basically" handed most of their colonies over to the Brits to stop them falling into French/Spanish hands in the Napoleonic/ Spanish/ American War period!! I so love the coins you find , and they are less than half the price you would pay in Australia or the UK!!

If you are patient, you can often rotate a coin in a 2x2 by bumping it repeatedly on edge while rotating the 2x2 itself.

And 2x2s are a bargain at 3 cents each. A great cheap way to protect your coin from PVC and envelope damage.

The 2x2 alone costs a customer 3 cents or more if you buy a pack of 100.

A few notes buddy ... Platypus and echidna are monotremes, egg laying mammals. The New Zealand Maori is pronounced Mow-ri a bit like Chairman Mao of China and the Fijian 10c features a stone headed war club. The South African cent features two sparrows not canaries. Cheers from Australia.

Thanks for sharing this timely, timeless and thoughtful recounting of God's power and planning. It's like millions of puzzles falling in place piece by piece to final finishes and getting to watchingly wait and be a participant of His strength and story. No wonder I awake each day amazed. Thank you, again.

Guernsey pronunciation spot on! I have only ever had one coin from Tibet.
I like the Canada 2017 5 cent coin, thanks for sharing.
291 woo hoo! (By the way, I'm working on an improved list of "foreign coins minted at USA mints'. Should be out in a few months.)
I've never thought about collecting that way. That's a neat idea.
35:40 - the H mintmark on the Guernsey 8 Doubles seems to be on the side of the coin with the date. Nice pickups.
