Awesome vid. How much wood do you have to put in to keep it smoking for a long cook like ribs or pork butt?
Thank you. For a Kamado Joe, I just toss in 2-3 wood chunks barried underneath the charcoal. You will get all the smoke you need the first 3 hours. Using good lump charcoal makes a difference as well.
@@BartlowsBBQ great, thanks for the info. I have a Traeger but I think the konnected joe has me sold for the versatility. My only reservations is the konnected Joe is based off of II model not III, so I hope it won’t be outdated soon in regards to accessories.

What’s the difference between bologna and a plain hotdog
It’s about be shape, casing, and seasoning. Different brands use emulsified meat.
I coukd be wrong but why does everyone smoke already smoked sausage?
My general principle is if i can cook inside I can cook it on a grill. It’s more the cooking heating method than adding a significant amount of smoke on a shorter cook. In the same topic, smoked ham can be smoked again, it’s called double smoked ham. I add my own seasoning and basting sauce and it amplifies the flavor.
Nice video. Glad you used the JR and the soapstone to cook the hotdogs. The JR is very underrated in my opinion. Nice spin on the hotdog! Personally, I like a nice WV slaw dog with chili n mustard. Keep up the great work!! 🌭🌭🌭
I agree. love the junior for these type of cooks. Slaw dog is so good.
Does anyone have dimensions from leg to leg? All I see is the outer diameter of the ring, But I was looking for the dimensions of where it actually sits on the ground.

Any suggestions for getting one of these up the stairs? Mine came fully assembled and I thought delivery guys were bringing up to my deck but nope that’s on me to do 😅
That’s a bummer. Only thing i can think of is moving straps on both sides with 2 people. Remove all the internal components. It will be awkward but doable I believe.

Always go big! I’m 12X40 and after a Yoder pellet, 2 flat tops, A Vision pro, a Big Joe 3 and a Weber gas for what ever with a few chairs and a table I’m out of room. Thankfully we have a patio that we throw up a 10 X 10 pop up if we need space for guest. Hey, we all have our vices….keep cooking!
