    Can someone please please tell me if I need to do this, my driver side interior door latch does NOT lock but will unlock with the driver side switch and also with remote. But it does UNLOCK with remote and driver side switch. Old timer told me maybe I need to replace my driver side switch which I hope fixes it cuz this is a lot of work lol. But if my case sounds like I need to replace this oh well.

    Can u put the belt on before u put the tensioner back on or do u have to put it back on first? Seems like u could put the belt on first, then put the new tensioner back on. I'm just curious bc that would seem easier but im a novice so idk. Great and easy vid btw. Thanks

    You should have told us what ti use ti to drain the filter housing. A 3/8* Drive ratchet? A allen wrench i couldn't tell what you need. Ya im knit picking. But there is a comment section below so i left a comment

  • @steveforbes7718
    @steveforbes7718Ай бұрын

    He covered that. The 8mm Allen wrench would remove the drain plug in the filer housing. He said he skipped that part and removed the housing without draining it first. The ratchet was for the 13mm socket to remove the oil pan drain plug. Maybe you shouldn't be working on cars.

    Great video. Did this myself in a few minutes. Note, I didn't remove the electrical connections. The cable was long enough that I could rest the panel on the ground while working on the handle.

    Hypothetically, if a well meaning husband was trying to fix the CD changer but didn't disconnect the battery first & one of the wires hit metal, throwing a spark, and the car has had a dead battery every morning since, How screwed is the car? Asking for a friendly 😂

    The driver's doorhandle broke on my son's 2009 Mercury Milan the day before Prom! I'm a panic, I searched for a way to fix ourselves and came across this step-by-step video. THANK YOU so much for posting this! I am not mechanically inclined, but followed each step and fixed it ourselves!! Crisis averted! Thanks again!

    I have a 2008 mercury milan 2.3l and it was leaking oil from where yours was and also into where the spark plugs go. I torqued the right bolt by the coil pack by 89ft lbs instead of inch lbs and snapped the bolt head off. I was lucky enough to take the valve cover back off and use a pair of vise grips to twist the rest of the bolt out of the head. But because of the way the cover is designed i needed a whole new cover. I went to my local pull a part and found a replacement. Brought it home and decided to spray the entire thing with wd40 engine degreaser foam and then rinse off with the water hose. Because the replacement was showing coolant leakage on the inner gaskets. But now i still have some water on the inside of the cover in the plastic cover i cant access. Not excessive amounts of water but its air drying. Got a new fel pro gasket set im just afraid of water inside this cover not dried before i put it back on. What should i do? How long should i wait? This video has helped me so far thank you!

    Thanks for the vid. It was a pain getting the door lock actuator past the window frame both ways. You can also just electrically roll the window down till you see the bolts in the regulator. Leave it there, loosen the bolts and then pull the window up and tape it. No need to pull the regulator motor.

    Thank you so much for this tutorial. I can confirm this works on a 2010 Ford Fusion SE. I had to replace the rear passenger on the driver side. For me never working on a car this was very informing and useful tutorial. I called 3 different shops and they all wanted $235,$255,$300. I bought a $20 mechanic tool set found at your local Wal-Mart and a $9 nylon pry tool set found at your local harbor freight and was able to knock it put all on my own.

  • @dannydoitall3312

    It is similar not exactly the same. The configuration is slightly different behind the door panel as it is bigger and there are more wires on the wire harness.
