Milton Metz was a radio and television personality in Louisville, Ky., working for WHAS Radio & Television. He hosted a phone-in radio program, beginning in 1959, for 34 years; because WHAS was a 50,000 watt, clear channel station, he received calls from 40 states, Canada, and Cuba. In addition, he hosted a TV talk show (Omelet) for 10 years with co-host Faith Lyles. In addition, he did many celebrity interviews during the year and especially on Millionaire's Row at the Kentucky Derby. This channel will feature some of those interviews with the great, near-great, wannabe great, and never great.

He really ended the interview by saying “so nice to have an omelette” 😂😂😂
You HAVE to laugh to get through the bad times. It's medicine for heartaches. Great medicine at that.
I remember as a kid watching these interviews I couldn’t stand Ali. I thought he was the bad guy because he talked too much. Then I grew older and learned his story. He’s been my guy ever since.
such a nice lady
Oh, Zebulon Walton. When I was young watching The Waltons I thought Granpa was a bit of an old poop, but now I see he was everything. Did i manage to say, "Oh, Zebulon Walton"?
" Fifth Dimension's". She could not even get the name right.
I loved Will Geer as Grandpa Walton on The Waltons! Great interview!
Zebulon! Loved this old guy on the Waltons, would recognize his voice anywhere!
He had a distinctive delivery!
Happy birthday
Beautiful lady.
Linville kind of reminding me of Bryan Cranston here.
I never thought of that but now I can see it
What’s amazing is that Larry was a kind and intelligent man. From what I read, all the cast loved Larry.
Il est toujours parmi nous, sa voix et sa beauté nous touchent tellement, il est tellement sincère et vrai, ❤❤❤❤❤
Will Geer was a Homosexual Communist.
Peter Bonerz was on The Bob Newhart Show. Not "Newhart." These are two separate shows.
Good catch. You're right, of course
OLE FERRET FACE ! LOL !
Enjoyed watching. Boy, was he young.
Really good performer. Seems well-grounded. Just a crying shame about that stupid air disaster. I work in the technical side of aviation, and that tragedy overwhelms me at times.
😊
Great to hear these two, but what a strange place to conduct an interview.
It was part of a junket, in which CBS brought a number of stars to a hotel for interviews by several TV stations. Space was at a premium
Kids Say the Darndest Things!! Loved that book as a kid at Grandma’s.
He had such a rapport with kids that they felt comfortable to say practically anything. And they did!
I could listen to these two great characters talking for hours! I wish they had left the cameras rolling after the interview had ended.
A great man.Loved houseparty.😊
Abbey's dad.
She was hysterically funny on Laugh-In, and she has a spectacular singing voice. Love ya, JoAnne! 💖
Yes, I've always thought she was underappreciated. Great sense of humor and a wonderful laugh that elevated whatever material she was in
FB = fab ❤❤❤
This is such a treasure--thank you so much for posting this! I've been forever searching for a video of Richard Castellano the man, and not Richard Castellano the actor playing a part in a movie or series. (I wish I could see a photo of him from the mid 80's, but there doesn't seem to be any out there). When I came across this on KZread, I was thrilled! I've always been a huge fan of his. He was my favorite actor in the movie The Godfather, and Clemenza was my favorite character in that movie. I can never look at cannoli without thinking of him. Rest in peace, Mr. Castellano. You will never be forgotten.
So glad you enjoyed this. He was distinctive in all the parts he played and it's nice to hear him talk as himself.
I've heard that Larry Linville was a super nice guy IRL. He must have been one helluva actor, because he did Frank to perfection.
Not only is his portrayal of a drunk funny, but his actual puns, lines, and content are really funny on their own. He’s a genius.
That's a compliment I know he would appreciate, especially because his success came so late in life.
You can get Linville out of Burns, but apparently you can't get Burns out of Linville.
Beautiful speaking voice too
A great one, very distinctive
Sissy is fucking stunning xxx
Oh yeah
He was so great
Anne looks so beautiful.
Ava St. Claire.
Im 28. I just love how cocky Ali was After the fight and in the first 20 seconds of this. "They said he was a bad man, so i must be badder"
“Hot Lips” would have scolded the interviewers that her name is MAJOR Margaret Houlihan.
Thank you. Anne Meara was truly one of a kind. And she looks lovely here.
An outstanding actor in basically whatever he was in. May John Dehner continue to rest in peace! 💐
Col. Flagg & Sydney Freedman helped to break up the monotony of the show.
Legend. So many memories as a kid with Ted in the 1970’s.
He was perfect for that part: loud, bombastic, not too smart, and yet lovable.
¡Qué belleza! Los tres, muy lindos❤❤❤
Absolutamente; de acuerdo.
Thanks. Appreciate these rare soap interviews.
Me, too. Often, they were popular in their time but a lot of people don't recognize them
Gorgeous lady! Great actress, really fascinating woman. Always wondered what she was really like, she always seems so 'on' so to speak.
She did always seem to be "on" but a great talent nonetheless. Holbrook was more down to earth...and he adored her.
@@MiltonMetzArchive If you have any more footage of her to share I'd be most grateful, hard to find nice stuff like this anywhere, so seeing your bit was a real treat. Did you get to know them well at all?
@@darkseaofempathy Met them a couple times but can't say I knew them well. This is the only interview that was saved, though there were at least two others. He was always more reflective, even self-effacing; she had achieved stardom as Julia Sugarbaker but also had that wonderful career as a chanteuse, often at the Carlyle.
What a lovely and charming woman.
Yes. Sincere
St. Jacques was a beautiful man with a very thespian voice!
A versatile talent
He looked really handsome and espressive but i don't know him as actor
This interviewer is so caustic towards St. Jacques. I wonder why?
Probably because he wanted questions out of him or she knows something about home we don’t know
What a superb mullet.
Sounder was one of the best movies I’ve seen.
Come on now.speak on it
