Milton Metz Archive

Milton Metz was a radio and television personality in Louisville, Ky., working for WHAS Radio & Television. He hosted a phone-in radio program, beginning in 1959, for 34 years; because WHAS was a 50,000 watt, clear channel station, he received calls from 40 states, Canada, and Cuba. In addition, he hosted a TV talk show (Omelet) for 10 years with co-host Faith Lyles. In addition, he did many celebrity interviews during the year and especially on Millionaire's Row at the Kentucky Derby. This channel will feature some of those interviews with the great, near-great, wannabe great, and never great.

I remember as a kid watching these interviews I couldn’t stand Ali. I thought he was the bad guy because he talked too much. Then I grew older and learned his story. He’s been my guy ever since.

This is such a treasure--thank you so much for posting this! I've been forever searching for a video of Richard Castellano the man, and not Richard Castellano the actor playing a part in a movie or series. (I wish I could see a photo of him from the mid 80's, but there doesn't seem to be any out there). When I came across this on KZread, I was thrilled! I've always been a huge fan of his. He was my favorite actor in the movie The Godfather, and Clemenza was my favorite character in that movie. I can never look at cannoli without thinking of him. Rest in peace, Mr. Castellano. You will never be forgotten.
