Just grab an older model what's deleted as your backup truck. Diesels don't lose that much value. There are some really solid older tow pigs out there

I would suggest instead of getting an Enterprise truck that you just keep up with maintenance on yours and put $$ away for breakdowns. I'm thinking that your belt tensioner that caused your failure really should have been changed proactivly at a certain mileage before it failed. I think you certainly should be able to replace a couple of common lights or bulbs yourself on the road. If a truck or trailer has a light on it it needs to work according to DOT.

i would steer clear of that rental program. you're looking at $17k in commission towards them. unfortunately you cant keep miles down on a truck when you hot shot. get you a used truck, a base model bare minimum one.

Wouldn't that have been covered under the factory warranty or are you over on mileage. Part of the suck of owning your own business. I know maintenance is always a big cost.

If you ever need extra money go fishing for glass eels. Their high price is Asian markets for sushi. More than 2,000 per pound. I actually want to come to Maine and fish for them.

You have to have an expense account. Maybe a place to get tires or a road side service account. Independent hotshot that's the downfall. If something breaks down it all on you. You must ask your self is it worth it ? If so don't complain

steering doesnt lock up. what you're feeling is no power steering. yes you could have still driven the truck, it would have been difficult. once you start moving it gets easier, BUT with the belt snapping you lose the alt. and thus draining your batteries.
