0:42 yes succeed in life, why... because the power hierarchy is in place, and this particular hierarchy sucks big balls... 0:47 yes any other except the field of emotional intimacy... 0:50 there it goes directly against the principles of emotionally intimacy where you have to be open and honest about your feelings therefore about intentions... 0:59 sorry for me love is neither war nor a game... 1:09 so I have to view the woman I want to have a deep emotional connection as the enemy... 1:15 that's when you are negotiating, and if both want the same thing it is pointless to do... or it is pointless in my eyes... would spare both parties a lot of frustration if they were up and front about it... 1:22 and what use I have for this power in order to achieve my goal of having the deep emotional connection with a woman.... 1:27 to this I agree saying more often get's you into trouble, but if it is to let people assume things about the situation sorry I do this only when I feel it benefits me, and only if I am content with letting people assume... 1:34 it's not that you appear common it's that you show concern about what people might think when you say more, also appearing common enables people to associate with you so is it really a bad thig... 1:46 Yes I am aware that people have short attention span... 1:58 basically saying if you are smart enough you will understand what was said, else you are not smart enough... context is what gives meaning to words, without it they might as well be meaningless, concealing context means you are trying to trick the other person, and if that means that by giving context you are losing power, then to the so called smart person it should be obvious that you are not striving to achieve power over him, and if he is civilized he will not try to seize this opportunity to assert power over you... 2:04 Reputation and pride are two things that can stop you from achieving emotional intimacy with another person, not worth my effort if it is going to narrow down my already meager options further... 2:12 it means that if you lose it you lose everything, does this not mean the so called reputation possesses power over you, and to be fair you can basically become a slave to such reputation if it is the only thing that defines you... 2:18 define successful... 3:21 You know I think that should be integrated in basic human decency, and on the other hand what does one do when someone else decides on their own to be your enemy... just because you are in possession of power and he wants this power, oh so it's because of such scenarios you want to avoid making extra enemies... 4:13 this is where you suffer the most of the possession of power, because sooner or later comes a point where you will have to chose between being true to your self and protecting your reputation, what must one choose in such a scenario... oh and on the topic letting power define you is also not being true to yourself.... 4:38 so you have to be the perfect robot machine that never makes mistakes, and still manage to appear human, that's a tough one... 4:44 did you just now advice me to use manipulation in order to get what I want... "A person with narcissistic personality or narcissistic traits frequently uses manipulation tactics to influence and control others" 4:51 that's the easiest thing to do because people look at results and rarely thing about the effort that went into said result, but this is yet again another way of putting appearances and tricking people into thinking that you are above them... 4:56 ah but that's when it gets interesting... if they use your tricks against you, it creates the possibility if finding a weakness in those tricks and therefore inventing even better tricks for the future, well if you fail to do you will appear weak but true strength comes from the will to be able to get back at your feet after being thrown to the ground... 5:29 yes timing is important, and it's not an art of timing, it's the art of reading the situation and making judgement that is not the appropriate time, on the other hand even if you are unable to read the situation, acknowledging the fact that it is a bad timing does not take away from your power depending on the way you handle the situation... 6:01 "when in Rome do as romans", yes but what happens to "be true to your self" So if being true to yourself means that you do not want to pretend to be someone else, but you also do not want be a weirdo in order to maintain power, how exactly does one handle such situation... 6:29 having basic human understanding and knowing how to appear relatable is possible, but did he do it in order to appear relatable or did he do it because he was emphasizing with the people... because you know if he did not do what he did his claims would be rather hypocritical... 6:42 truly everything has a price, what is the price of power I ask, perhaps the self... 7:09 yes I know that life is the shittiest rouge like there will ever be...

Perhaps you could have added Reiss to the list. recently they have been working with more luxurious fabrics ie cashmere but still a fraction of the cost of the likes of Loro Piana and Bruno Cuccinelli.

The best alternative on earth is Eddy Monetti, but you really gotta fly to Italy for their shops. The online store isn't all that up-to-date. Cashmere sweaters that LP makes you pay 1800 cost 400 instead, and they're made of Loro Piana cashmere of course, along with everything else that can be custom made to measure and preference in any of LP's textiles.

Don't worry. Find what works for you that matches the aesthetic. Even thrifted pieces can get you look. The overall true philosophy of "old money" is actually focused on the material not necessarily the price. In short, find good quality items that last.
