  Yeah but they were T5’s not R’s I had both and put the side by side racing them with a friend driving the T5 and the R left it standing and the T5 just couldn’t rail round the corners like the R possibly because the R’s came with adjustable olins suspension were a lot lower than a standard T5 alas my wife destroyed that car after losing it on ice ragging it through the lanes but I got a V70R after that and still own that just spent a fortune on it just need to get her re sprayed as the clear coat is flaking in places

  ⁠@@1664smudgeI’d like to get a V70R but they’re getting hard to come by and expensive. My daily driver is a lowered red 99 V70 T5 and it’s fun car to drive. Gets a lot of thumbs ups. I like driving that more than my 17 XC90R T8. I really want another 240 sedan or wagon. Something I can get silly with.

  Its either his brake pads need replacing(doubtful but only he knows) or he change his brake disk to ceramic brake disk which is known for squicking quite a lot.

  J’ai une M3 la même mais là il le sait pas tirer sur son moteur il repart trop souvent de 4/4,500 tours. Il faut être plus haut dans les régimes et jamais en dessous de 5000 tours ! Tu ne fais pas honneur à Motorsport !

  Ich liebe Volvo, das sind ganz tolle Autos. Volvo hat eine sehr gute feinabstimmung, die Stellen die Autos als erstes ohne elektronische Hilfen auf Schnee ein. Ich habe einen Volvo c30 d5 2.4 5 zylinder diesel der bei Kickdown immer 580nm auf die räder drückt. Ist auch sehr unaufällig, einen Porsche Carrera 3.6 6 zylinder fahre ich damit auch davon. Berg hoch haben Audi rs3, mercedes amg 45 keine change. 17 Jahre alt 500.000tkm auf der Uhr. Noch immer mein Traumauto, volvo Besitzer geben Ihre Autos nicht ab, weil man so gute Autos nicht weg tut. Hat schon seine Gründe das man so viele Alte Volvo sieht. Sieht man sogar noch mehr als mercedes w124 oder c klasse, mehr verkauft waren dieercedes. Die Mercedes gelten schon als die besten Mercedes die es gab, die Volvos halten noch länger! Meiner sieht aus wie neu mit seinen 500.000tkm. Sitze sind noch spitze, lenkrad glänzt nicht. Bin absoluter Volvo Fan, die Chassis sind die stabielsten! deshakb sehr steife Autos dadruch ein gutes Fahrverhalten. Und Volvo macht nicht so auf Race, man sieht es den Autos nicht an, hier gilt: Mehr schein als sein. Meine Freunden nennen meinen Wagenz der Wolf im Schafspelz, oder Taron die Abschuss Achterbahn 😂, quitschie u.s.w Meiner braucht von 0-100 genau so lange wie von 80 bis 200 am Berg. Den Berg bemerkt man nicht, ist einfach nur Brutal. Und Volvo lügt nicht den Ps Angaben. Bei meinem stehen auf dem Papier unaufallige 180ps, das ganze wurde auf gedreht auf 250ps und 580nm. Fühlt sich an wie 500ps...! Anderer Kumpel hat einen Volvo 2l Diesel mit 150ps auf dem Papier. Der Wagen läuft Gps 240kmh und ist original! Volvo: Das steht für Schwedenstahl, den Kriegsgott und das es der Wagen immer rollt. Die Fahrgastzellen sind die besten und sichersten Weltweit. Kollision gegen einen Volvo und man verliert! Sah letzte Tage noch ein Video wie ein Bmw 7 mit einem Volvo xc60 kollidiert ist. Der Volvo Fahrer stieg unverletzt aus. Der Bmw sieben ist komplett kollabiert, fahrer eingeklemmt und tot. Der Volvo war vorne ein bissel kaputt. Irre geile Autos. Auch der Kunstoff innen, super geil verarbeitet, habe nach 17 jahren und 500.00tkm keinerlei Kratzer an den Turverkleidungen, wie neu. Die Scheinwerfer richtig dickes Plexisglas in Porsche Qualität von All Lightening. Sound system von B & O, richtig diskothek! Und alles halt voll unscheinbar, genau wie der zkombi im Video. Das ist Volvo! Nicht auf dicke hose tun, die qualitäten sind unsichtbar unter den Blechen. Traumautos mit noch richtig guter Qulität sind das. Und wenn es mal kracht, sind es auch die sichersten Autos. Hatte auch einen Unfall mit einem Volvo, ich hatte nichts, mein Volvo hat aber zwei andere neuere und größere Autos demoliert, aus den anderen beiden Autos waren 4 Leute im Krankenhaus. Ich hatte nichts, mein Volvo wäre sogar noch reparierbar gewesen, die anderen beiden Autos, waren nicht mehr reparierbar obwohl der Volvo zwei Einschläge hatte und nicht nur einen wie meine Unfallgegner. Ein Volvo kann dir das Leben retten. Die sind mittlerweile so weit, das man mit 90 gegen einen Baum noch überleben kann. Mit 100 gegen eine Betonwand, kann man auch überlegen, da ist fast.nur mit einem Volvo möglich. Die Gurte und Airbags sind besser, auf den Kopf wirken auch weniger G kräfte wenn es hart kracht. Die Volvo sitze sind auch wie ein Schutzkäfig fur den Körper. Volvo Sitz wiegt mal schnell das doppelte wie in anderen Fabrikaten. Mein Kleiner Volvo wiegt mehr als eine Normale e klasse, passat oder insignia, das sagt schon alles. Also kleines Volvo Coupe in Golf Größe welches 1700kg wiegt 😂 Egal bei 580newtonmeter. Berg gewicht, das merkt man da nicht mehr. Daführ wirkt sich die steifheit gut aufs Fahrvergalten aus.

  P80 volvo with a 5 speed is so much fun, converted my 98 v70glt to 5 speed snd never looked back, now ipd lowering springs, rebuilt motor, new mounts and bushings, and muffler delete makes her really sing now.

  This Volvo might only have a TD04 19T turbo and downpipe (small turbo upgrade). Gives you around 340BHP with a good tune but heaps of torque, and with the long 5-speed manual you outrun cars with higher HP numbers. Add some good suspension mods, brakes and a driver with knowledge of the track and you keep ahead of an E92 M3. Not to mention the Volvo has a towbar, that guy went straight to the campsite after his lap to pick up his trailer caravan and head home. 😆

  Most BMW, Audi and Volvo guys think they are hot shit. Right until they meet my shitbox starlet with 150 horses. “Coffee engine” they call it. Until they find out I got a special setup for my suspension that absolutely destroys them. Gotta love that little turbo 850’s and V70’s are just too damn heavy. They have power and are stiff, but they are 1500 kgs. Easy prey for an ultra light weight car Both guys aren’t even trying here, it’s sad

  These cars from the factory are very different, but with a built Volvo 5 cylinder engine, Öhlins or Bilstein suspension. It will do wonders. These older p80 5 cylinder engines are single cam instead of dual cam like the p2 Volvos.

  are you sure you are not mistaking something here? The petrol engine family of the Volvo 850 and first generation V70 was always DOHC. Even the 2.0 10V, though this is a 2.3 20V turbo engine in the car in front for sure. Probably had some mods done to it too, like IPD sway bars, strut braces etc... There's a LOT you can do to these cars to make them handle.

  Yeah none of the whiteblock engines have ever come as a SOHC. Also the 850 and mk1 x70s that have the N series 5-cylinders are P80 not P1. RN 5-cylinders found in P2 have exhaust VVT and slightly better head compared to N, really not much else is different.

  @@Kommunisator I meant to say VVT, instead of cams. When Volvo adds the VVT on the exhaust side that is the only major difference from the two motors.
