British Comedy Awards

British Comedy Awards

It regularly attracts of audiences of around ten million, and features the most swearing, debauchery and drunkenness of any award show since The Pride of Britain Awards.

Simon Bird should get gender reassignment surgery, grow his hair shoulder length or longer, get rid of his glasses, wear light blue contact lenses, and become a Las Vegas showgirl. 💅🏼👗👙👠💍

Say what you like about jade. I met her many times in real life when she was growing up, and met her again just before she entered big brother. She was a lovely girl and didn't deserve to die. She was like an angel caring for her mother at such a young age, I wish she never entered BB Fame ruined her 😩

My favourite of many of Paul's utterances as Lilly Savage was the one where his 'Grandmother' sadly did of Hypothermia.. on Christmas eve.. cue the audience going 'Oh no' and him playing up for the sympathy looking sad.. .. yes.. very sad how we lost her. She was at a bus stop, outside Iceland, the f....in bus was late and as she had a robbed turkey up her jumper under her coat she froze to death. Fr...in buses, always running late.. lol lol lol lol.. I still fall about when I think about that one.. lol.

I think it was seen as a pretty shocking joke at the time for mainstream television. Fisting was and still is a pretty taboo subject. Apparently he was going through time around this period, so he might used a more palatable joke.

I always thought this was a more layered joke- like he famously didn’t like Norman Lamont and Jonathan had just talked about his propensity for double meanings so I figured this was also a joke about punching him- to say this at the comedy awards and be banned from live TV seems a bit much haha

Not even a letter from the Prince could stop Spike from making this moment his own and nobody else's. Wonderful how the presenter realized that and cut it short instead of trying to force it. Royalty is nothing next to achievement.
