BongoDave

BongoDave

Former side drummer at FMMPB, MMPB & GBCDC. You will see video's of me drumming, to random videos I filmed and edited. The name BongoDave comes from people who seen me play percussion at Christian events. Although I played congas and djembe, people just seem to call them bongos!! Hence the name Bongo!

    Alcohol is serious stuff. Alcohol is spirits, actual demonic spirits that take over a persons state, hence under the influence. Thats why liquor stores say spirits on their signs. Some act badly under the influence of spirits and some act happy. Its evil spirits taking yr body for a ride...our body is the temple of God the Father not our fleshly pleasure. This is serious business. Ive struggled with it for years. Caffeine is also a drug, a demonic influence that changes yr state, hence under the influence...we are to be filled with the holy Spirit only. We cannot serve two masters. Paul said we are under grace and that all things are permissable but not all these things are beneficial. We can chose to have these things in moderation by grace but it will hinder our prayers and cause us to worship ourselves and our idols of pleasure. Satan is a roaring Lion looking for someone to consume. Even Harvard University did a study about alcoholic spirits.... Google "The spiritual consequences of alcohol". This study is biblical. Its amazing how crafty Satan is....but the Father is greater! Jesus said when we become born again our temple is cleaned of demons, but to beware of spirits that will come back to see if we really believe....he said if we don't stay filled with the Holy Spirit that Satan will come back and bring even more demon spirits than before we were saved. Come Lord Jesus Christ!! 🕊️ ✝️ 📖 🙏

    This is timeless, thanks for sharing this Dave. Btw I still have a video of you playing on the night, of the 1995 World Pipe Band Championships. We stayed at the same university halls at that time. It's on VHS, let me see if I can turn it into something digital.

    @@BongoDave1978 I'm going to try get it digitalized. See if its still in good shape. I do remember, as it was my first visit to the worlds with my local band from the Netherlands. You guys were staying at the Maryhill campus just like us. It was just a social night at the bar, you were playing at it. I remember the black head premier drums. Lot of stuff has happened, I retired from playing last september, after winning the G1 worlds with Boghall.

    Why is alcohol an acceptable form of altering ones mind while other mind altering chemicals and drugs are referred to as pharmakeia which translates to sorcery and witchcraft, are forbidden? Because alcohol has always been socially acceptable and Jesus first miracle was turning water into wine, this man made mind altering chemical has destroyed millions of lives and continues today to be the number one cause of pain suffering and death, yet so many Christians defend and indorse it’s use. Would it be better if more Christian leaders taught abstainance to all people?

  • @ExtremePacifist
    @ExtremePacifist2 жыл бұрын

    When exactly is an individual Christian officially drunk? How many ounces of alcohol before one crosses that line? What blood alcohol concentration makes a person officially chemically drunk? .02? .05? .08? Until we can find that exact official chemical measurement, we can not say consuming alcohol as a Christian is acceptable to Jesus. It is better that all of us Christians promote, support, teach and practice abstinence from all mind altering chemicals, alcohol being the most harmful. Praise Jesus

    if one choose to drink or not is debatable,however A.Rogers has dealt with far too many folk who have ruined their life,health,etc.so I believe he is commenting on all the sad cases he has dealt with....in the end,it's up to each person to decide.

    Yes evernan is to be pursuaded in his own mind . Whatver is not of faith is sin . We all have sin and fall short of glory of God . If you don’t do this or struggle with this it will be something eise and if you’re saved the just like any other sin it it’s already forgiven and what’s has been done in flesh / service will be burned up at judgement of Christ
