31:05 I loved that you found the teleporter and then the back way. I didn't find either on my first playthrough. On my second I hunted for the other portal as I knew there had to be one, and was so happy I found it, but I missed the back way. Then on a 3rd playthrough I found the backside of the ice you can't cut like you did, and figured there had to be a way around it. I figured it was on land and I thought it was on the ice worm side so I hunted for several hours. I was banging my head trying to find it without spoilers, and I just happened to walk around the teleporter looking for crates and saw the opening! I was so happy to find the water at the bottom. I knew it had to lead to the back way.

It's so hard to find someone who has no knowledge of a game and to see them play through the whole thing. Your reactions and thinking process is what I look for when deciding what I'll be watching next. For me I get to relive what my initial reactions were and in that, relive the game itself. Glad I found your channel and plan to watch many more playthroughs. I realize this is video went up over a year ago and you may or may not see it, but either way what I have said would still stand true. Also, have you considered playing Red Dead Redemption 2?

At 16:30 - That was a great attempt! I think I would have released in the middle of the room to give myself a little distance. Then again, I wouldn't have Stanley, so I wouldn't need to worry about choosing between a fairy and a red potion 🤪

Honestly, I think as Dark Souls is considered the easiest of Dark Souls, and Dark Souls 2 is next and considered the most hated, just see how you go with Dark Souls 2 and then maybe do the no leveling in Dark Souls 3? Or you could always do a SL1 Run for Dark Souls and replay it with no leveling at all and give you that challenge you want?

for me i stayed in a corner and had him come to me. in the corner it was easier to attack him, & i would spam attack until he broke his shield then get some hits in. thunderblight was definitely the hardest one for me! i was so excited to see how you did this. urbosa is my favourite champion

Odd. As a very long time DnD player/Dungeon Master all the way back to second edition, my immediate reaction would be that vampire spawn are quite simply way too dangerous. I would not hesitate in a DnD 3.5 campaign (which is what we still play as Pathfinder) to execute the spawn. Unless we were doing a rare evil campaign and could gain control through the staff.

Lived in Cali, Colorado, VA, and now in NC; of cpurse worse drivers in SF too, but roads are confusing as well. WHy is that the case with Big cities? London, Amsterdam, etc. Btw you mentioned lawlessness; I think it should be attributed to less amount of people in LEA law enforcement officers. I saw more cars got pulled over in "Blue states" vs "Non-blue". Sorry, I am brown guy, but there's no such thing as red states.

Let me tell you Ryan. I have seen a few play throughs of this game. I can never make it past like the first episode usually bc I get tired of it. But you have kept me entertained the entire time and I literally binged this entire series in like a week 😂 maybe because we both have undiagnosed adhd. But I always loveeeeee watch your play throughs! So fun! Congrats on the new baby!

It took me five years to defeat Artorias. Let me tell you the story. I played dark souls when it released. I completed the game and got the DLC later. Artorias defeated me about 40 times. I meant to complete the DLC but I started olaying Mass Effect 3 and sort of lost interest in dark souls for a while. Other games followed and time passed. Over 5 years later I decided to try again. I beat Artorias on the first attempt. Crazy. I sometimes wonder if something deep in my subconscious had been working on the problem all that time.

I think I finally figured out why you try to jump out of the way of attacks (without focus or while crouched). It's because that's how souls games work. It's interesting to see how the experience in one game doesn't necessarily translate to a different one.
