Lots of Polaris atv fun here. I’m a big time Polaris guy and love sharing my knowledge with people. I post everything Polaris atv (well all atvs) related from riding to fixing
I have this same '99 Polaris 6x6. However mine is not in this great shape. Would it be possible to contact you for some assistance with problems?

I've a 03 Ranger 6x6. The insulation in front of the exhaust manifold caught fire. It shorted my fuel pump wires and i think the relay. Do you know where the relay is?

Hey I have the opportunity to get one and it seems pretty sound without digging into it, about 78 hours on it. My question is-is this machine worth getting and at what price in your opinion? They're asking $6000. Thanks.

Quick question. I have a 1999 Sportsman 500. I installed new calipers and brake pads. Went to bleed nothing comes out at all. If I insert something up into the supply line to the calipers from the reservoir is solid black. No clear brake fluid at all. I was looking for a way to clean out the supply hoses. I removed the old tubes trying to get them to drain. No luck. Any thoughts?

Hay buy some Sulfuric acid and put in a bucket. then dip your clutches in it for 30 sec's. they will boill!!!!! then immediately take out and rinse off thoroughly with water hose. do this about 5 times per clutch. then soak them overnight in pure water to counter act any acid you might have missed. it will turn your clutched black but that black film can be rubbed off with scotch bright pads. you can take the most dirty , old rusty , grimmy clutch and do this to it and it will almost look new again. be careful with the acid it is very strong. it will not hurt any part of the clutch if done like i explained. hope this will help you save a few clutches. just wanted to share this with you. if you have never seen this done it is amazing to watch

im into golf cart trail/mud riding. we take old beat up golf carts put some mudders and a harbor freight motor on them and have fun on the weekends. we often run 780 clutches you would consider bad! we are not about to spend that kind of money on these old beat up golf carts for new 780 series clutches. i have taken and put my clutch on the leith and machined those grooves out, yes it changes the pitch and you never know how it will affect things but its fun to make bad stuff work until it just cant anymore. those weights can be smothed and rounded up and made to work again. the main shaft on the primary that was rusted can be milled down to 1/2 it's thickness and a brass bushing made from an old pipe and the fun continues! hahah yes i know we are southern rednecks but hay we make do with what we have. times are tough for everyone right now. so i was wondering what you might want for all your bad clutches & parts. i am willing to pay good cash and cover shipping as long as the price is right. i go to great lengths fixing my clutches just so i can go riding the next weekend. i see much potential left in your bad parts. we each have about 300 dollars in our golf carts so it's not like we are puting crappy parts on an expensive rig. i gave 100 dollars for my beat up electric ezgo golf cart + 100 dollar for a harbor freight motor and then i gave 100 dollars for an old polaris explorer ATV with a bad motor just so i could get the big tires and shocks and clutches off it. we made swamp buggy's. i prefer the 780 clutches that comes on gas golf carts like the yamaha G1 old cart. but i have used the polaris clutches and they work just fine. if you are intrested make me a fair offer and tell me how many bad drive and driven clutches you want to part with. you can email me at [email protected] if interested. thanks brother.

If you cannot get a low temp thermostat take it out and use a washer, by the time the thermostat opens it is already cooked and back pressure pushes water into oil.
