    Imagine being in your late 70s and well respected musically yet dragging multiple full stack amplifiers into a tiny shit club with a single piece of 4x8 plywood for a stage. Now imagine looking like an ancient ghoul because you insist on keeping the haircut you had when you were 22 well into your late 80s despite having melted candle face.

  • @predeterminedmeat5024
    @predeterminedmeat50242 ай бұрын

    Yes it's just his guitar is absurbly loud. In order to hear the vocals you have to be near the back. Unless you're in a very small venue. In that case you're screwed

    You'd be surprised how ambivalent musicians are about their shows being recorded.

  • @aylemarshland5609
    @aylemarshland56092 ай бұрын

    @@jyutzler Good to know...that could be true. I have listened to many podcasts where Mike Shannon talked at length but spending hours during the pandemic watching his favorite band performaces and then watching so many George Jones performances to prepare for playing that part. I would think they would be thrilled like for the exposure since this was a short East Coast tour the exposure will get many more people coming out to see Jason and Jon in Split Single. I guess I didnt think of there being a downside. I thought they should have filmed the Behind the Scenes of the tour getting ready, road vanning it, REM band showing up etc and made a little one hour doc to sell to streaming--that could have been done with simple Iphone or camcorder. I know alot people enjoyed the videos, I think Shannon will too.

  • @jyutzler

    @@aylemarshland5609 It's not a bad thing, it just isn't important to them. I've spoken to Jason personally about this. He knows I record all his shows (audio only) and just didn't care. He was there, he doesn't need the memory. I suppose it is just the difference between performer and fan.

    @@jyutzler Jason can play it as cool as he wants, the truth is that this tour put him on the map with alot of people that didnt know him prior and all the media coverage, videos, views, etc is only beneficial to his success as a touring musician...the guy still paints on the side....lets not get too big for our britches here..
