I think this is my favourite video of yours. Someone with your profile is doing a genuine public service by promoting poetry as an art form. And there are some great poems here. The Hollander and Hecht towards the beginning are both very funny. I would love to have been tuned in live -- I've got some opinions! -- for instance I think 'I Do Not' is a very clear comment on orientalism, the Western gaze, and interventionism. I could be totally off the mark. But that's the joy in discussing these things. It's quite brave to read poetry, live on stream, with zero contextual reading beforehand -- but that's exactly how it's supposed to be experienced. Enough sycophancy from me -- great video!

Tyrion Targaryen Theory: George R R Martin writes a lot about genetic manipulation and mutation in his other works. I think Tyrion was a fetus when Aerys abused Joanna and put that mutated-bloodmagic vayrian seed into her while pregnant with Tywin's child thus mutating Tyrion, which explains his eyes with different colors

Regarding the Grand Maester Conspiracy: I never thought when they said "Who do you believe killed the dragons?" they meant literally killed individual dragons. I interpret it to mean that the Maesters may have had something to do with the diminishing of the dragons, leading to their extinction. It's almost as though someone was siphoning the magic out of the world.

Just the idea of taking a "valuable hostage" to a impossibly difficult-to-siege castle, for safekeeping and answers while throwing off your possible trackers is a top level scheming move. She also thought about it on the spot. Cat is clever, if not wise.

One of the best scenes in the show is the Barristan and Ned talk and walk. Parallels between them are also amaizing, them 2 being the last " endlessly loyal men" of Bobby B. What did them all of this loyalty bought? A traitors death, at least for Maesters records, and a truly dishonourable dismissing.

All right I kind of have a funny slash kind of cringey story about something that happened to me in my freshman year of high school (it involves these books that's why I'm mentioning it) so I'm sitting in my physical science class with a few of my friends, we're just sort of talking, and one of them was a girl that I really had a crush on, and I think I said something about not usually getting to talk nerdy with my friends, she proceeds to say to me the four words I think every nerd secretly wants to hear, "talk nerdy to me"I was a big fan of doing at this point, obviously I started shooting off at the mouth about that, mentioning the crazy highlights hoping to get a laugh, (crazy highlights being the axolotl tanks, The Awakening of Duncan Idaho, and the god emperor,) those that don't know the axolotl tanks are lobotomized women who can produce children from the genetics of dead people, Duncan Idaho was awakened to over 3,500 years of life that he lived over multiple lifetimes what can only be called a sex fight, and Leto the second was mentioned in this video as a monstrosity made of sandtrout, and these things gotta laugh, but I'm not really sure that she ever looked at me the same again (sign my yearbook that year, some point but I honestly think from that point on she just thought I was crazy, and to be fair to her, these books are just batshit insanity, which I love and that doesn't exactly make me seem like a sane individual)

My parents asked me if there was a possibility she meant talk dirty to me, I have since thrown out that possibility because it was nowhere near in line with the conversation we were having, but if it turns out that's what she meant I'm going to kick myself for the rest of my life (in a roundabout way though I guess I kind of did when it comes to murabella and Duncan Idaho without as many of the graphic details that Frank Herbert decides to include for no reason)

Jon tells Leathers to use the Old Tongue to calm down Wun-Wun. Tormund speaks the old tongue to a giant after her meets Jon. If Jon was a glamoured Tormund he cound have just spoken the old tongue himself. Stonesnake is alive. Rattleshirt says he got away, he's from the Shadowtower, not Castle Black. He might have died on the Bridge of Skulls or on the way back to the wall but he could totally be alive.

I love this content, but one issue I definitely have with this stream in particular is the, in my opinion, lazy moral analysis of campaign, conquest and war in feudal society. These are characters based in a certain historical context, even if it is fantasy. The social norms of people within a given context have to be taken into account more than they are here. Saying that Doran is evil because he plans something that ultimately gets people killed is not good analysis. He’s the medieval lord of a whole region. A lot of his decisions will result in people dying. Using this analysis, you could just make the argument that every world leader ever is evil, which just defeats any real moral or ethical analysis of individuals and their actions. Same with their analysis of Drogo. Pretty poor in my opinion. But I still enjoyed the stream, would just like to reiterate :L.
