Use this: www.thecanadianthunderbolt.net/siren-maps it can give you access to most of the Canada maps and the Canada-Wide siren map which is constantly added to.
1:24 it sounds like a train
It does, doesn't it? Lol
Canadian Sirencon
Yea
The STH and 3v8-h sounded like one 8/12 port siren winding down for a while lol
legal
@@gemimadossantosferreirabez223 no one said it wasn't in the country...
@@SirensandThunderbolts1003Did you get noise complaints?
@@fs_sd-10 None that I am aware of.
@@SirensandThunderbolts1003 But if knew you guys didn't get noise complaints completly legal.
@@fs_sd-10 We did this in the country where the neighbours are spread out, basically farmland. I don't know how to explain it.
Any idea where that Sterling came from? The Dept I belong too used to have one on our old fire hall hose tower right up until around 1986. Replaced by a Model 2. Don't see alot of them. Sounds just the way I remember growing up.
It was being sold in Cornwall, ON but I don't know what dept. it came from :-C. I think I have your depts Model 2! it's a Canadian Model 2 from 1986 I got it from near Beamsville, ON in the Niagara Region. It's the grey siren in this video.
Do you know if the motor burned out on your department's Sterling? Is that why it was replaced?
I'm sure that's why. It was before I was on. Yes the fire hall it came from was in Vineland. That's awesome.@@SirensandThunderbolts1003
@willmcpherson8097 😁 it still works great! So when your dept. got a new fire hall built in, I believe '91. Was the siren only in service for about 5 or so years before being put into storage?
BEST sounding STH-10!!!

Hi
I wish I could go I’ve been wanting to go forever but the place is literally so far (14 hours away)
1:33:09 sounds like that SD-10 is set for 240 and getting 480.
That's what Christan told me (owns the SuperBanshee)
Is the 500SHTT from Lombard?
It is!
@@SirensandThunderbolts1003 Good to see that thing restored to its natural beauty.
I may not be a real siren enthusiast, but i’m not so sure if it’s recommended to drill run your sirens
It’s fine there is no problem drill running it I do it all time nothing is wrong with it
Didn’t except for a German siren to be here.
I would immagine that thar generator needs to be hi current 3 phase for the 3 phone motors in most of the mechanical sirens. What about the electronic sirens what voltage and current do they take is it AC or DC?
The generator puts out both 240 and 480 three phase. The electronic sirens are dc
@@seanjuth How many volts DC are the electronic sirens? Most of the mechanical sirens are 240v or 480v three phase I assume.
@@mattdaddy_888 24volts
Is the BNCO Directo BN52 gas powered like the chrysler victory siren?
Yes, it is.
Yes
@@SirensandThunderbolts1003 by one of the most coveted industrial engines out there the Wisconsin company V4 flathead. People seem to swear by those engines, too bad there aren't any really made anymore. They would beat out Briggs and Stratton. Oh well, there are units from Kubota, Honda, Kohler etc. to go by still.
You should get your hands on a chrysler victory siren!
That's extremely hard to come by. when one is available is like predicting where lightning will strike... Not to mention that it's big and heavy so not the kind of siren that I would want.
@@SirensandThunderbolts1003 yes well there is actually a map out there that shows the location of all the chrysler victory sirens still mounted on top of buildings and such I don't know how accurate it is but I know there is a ton in Florida and in and around the New York area as well as California. You can have it on a small trailer.
@mattdaddy_888 still, it is a lot of work and especially money to get one down if still up.
I gotta visit Sirencon someday.

I gotta bring my Model A
Kronenwetter's RM-130! This was recently replaced by an ASC T-128 because the RM-130 was struck by lightning. I have some old pictures of that RM-130 when it was still in service.
I love the dual tone Hilo signal on the whelen wps 3000s

They used to have those.
Wow beautyfhol hi-lo sound
Very nice sirencon.
Sure was!
@@SirensandThunderbolts1003 Yeah. Maybe next year over the next SirenCon if they would mind if they could bring the rusty 4/5 Thunderbolt 1000T again and bring whatever 2001-SRN siren or 130 siren to let the guys to make a tribute of Minneapolis old system what it sounds like and let them do a count of 62 seconds Alert and with 5 Attacks like a real Minneapolis old system just like they did Cincinnati Old Systems.
1:33:10 small motor
?
@@SirensandThunderbolts1003 u said it had issues
@WV_SIREN_PRODUCTIONS yes. I think someone told me it was a 240v motor being run on 480v not sure though. It has original motor I believe.
Lets go bro
Model 2 from Canada 🍁
Yep!
Winds up like a model 5.
Yeah it does, it is on 480 Volts so it'll wind up quickly compared to 208-240 Volts.
Daniel recorded this r 0:34
I saw that.
I have the same exact scanner
I don't have it anymore, lol. I upgraded.
@@SirensandThunderbolts1003 lol
Is the paint on the stand original?
No, it had an older yellow paint on it before.
15:45 thats actually a hornet not a vortex
It WAS a hornet, but it was replaced with a vortex. There was a Screamer, then the Screamer was replaced with a hornet, and the hornet was replaced with a vortex.
@@SirensandThunderbolts1003 oh I remember that the hornet was lent for tesomas until they got a replacement, I guess they did haha
