Old school Starset fans seem to be disappointed with the 2 newest tracks but as a reactor the new Starset songs are two of the most fun songs I've checked out lately. Myy only "problems" with this song is I wish they would've used more of that "trap" sound from the first verse and I wish the song didn't end so abruptly. Great vid broski <3
I first heard about underoath when they were touring this album in the UK on the taste of chaos and I was front and centre for them. I still haven’t had such a visceral experience and I guess I chase it every time I see a band. This album means so much to me and is a constant in my life for the last 18 years.
People are going to be unhappy with WHATEVER comes next, it doesn't matter what. DGD understands that I think, and they are just trying to do their thing the best they can do it, and I seriously respect them for it. I think Sergio Medina on bass is a bigger influence than people know, he's seasoned in this genre and has a "sound" (I'm a big fan of his stuff). That second song definitely has Sergio's sound in it. I personally love it, and I love Andrew's voice, so I'm super excited for what's coming next!

Commenting again to respond to around the 15 min mark... First off dont feel bad, we all long for that time. I was 11 when this came out and the fact that someone like you is returning to it is the coolest thing to me. Secondly, it truly was an interesting time, i was born before the internet was widespread. My home didnt have a computer until i was in high school. My exposure to this music was punk-o-rama, warped tour, fuse tv, and mixtapes/burned cds from friends. It was a special time... i do miss it but im so stoked that with technological innovations these bands are not only accessible to, but praised by so many people all over the world. Streaming profits suck but live performances & physical media like vinyl & cassettes have made this a livable profession. Shouts to you for spreading the joy! & check out the AOF solo/side projects like City & Colour/Gallows. Folkier & punkier sounds respectively.

When this came out I was a senior in high school and I legitimately listened to nothing else for about a year. It was my hyper fixation. To this day it’s my favorite DGD album. There’s something about it, man. I can’t even articulate it.
Absolutely loved the Holy Hell comparisons. When I first heard this album, some of it reminded me of songs like Death Is Not Defeat and Holy Hell, I’m surprised I never caught the similarities of Death By A Thousand Cuts to A Wasted Hymn tbh
I'm gonna be honest, this has been my favorite album to date for them. I felt like they brought everything together in this one. They had their heavy hits, had their anthems, and their slower ones. I loved it

I was very disappointed at first but it’s grown on me. It’s still their worst and most generic album, but it’s still good for what it is. I guess that’s what happens when you work with Drew Fulk. TSWTO > Spirits > Nothing More > Carnal > TFNF Carnal is prob worse than TFNF but I enjoy it more
