There are two major differences between this guy and myself: 1. I own a swiss army knife that actually includes a very sharp saw along with two equally sharp blades 2. I'd probably never manage to use said knife to amputate my own hand. Even thinking of it gives me nausea. It's incredible that he survived. What a guy!

This is an incredible story and for us at home comfortable in our chairs will find this insane, inhuman, crazy whatever adjective you want to use. When you are in a situation of despair and looking at death, your mind, body, nerves and brain will conform to a situation like this . I am not saying it's easy, only that we as humans are capable of extraordinalry things that we have no idea. For example; the Movie "Alive" where the survivours committed cannibalism and were able to climb the Andes Mountains with no training, no experience, no proper tools or equipment etc ...truly amazing ..like I said ..each and everyone of us are capable of extraordinalry things we just haven't been in a life-death situation to prove it.

Turly inspiring. This man is amazing and probably the bravest person ever. The fact that he was delighted when he realized he could finally cut his arm off by snapping the bone, insane. I cannot even imagine myself doing that no matter how desperate I was. I hope he's doing good now and he deserves the best in life

They're forcing kids to watch this "inspirational" movie to brainwash them into thinking being an adrenaline junkie is something to be proud of. There isn't anything inspirational about putting your body in danger. Also he goes back to the same place he got stuck? What kind of message are you trying to send kids?

Aron i wonder if you were reborn or not; because to me it seems such an experience really changed your outlook on life for the greater. John 3:3 in the Bible Jesus says "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." What you did was heroic and amazing; the movie 127 hours is my favorite movie, and I really hope to see you in heaven some day. It's so simple, the Bible says "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13) God bless you and all who read, may the hope & joy of the Lord Jesus touch your hearts. :)
