Krystal and I are more Explorers, going out into the back country to see what we see. Not really having any clue as to what the trail will be like, or what it will bring. Sometimes it's a simple trail with amazing views, or it could become rough and tight. Then sometimes we get lucky and get to see beautiful sights. Krystal drives a 2019 Jeep Wrangler JLU and I drive a 1988 Jeep XJ ... Which we may need to do some shop episodes because my XJ REALLY needs some love. I need to bring it back around. Mechanically she's good... Cosmetic needs some help.

I just got into a crash with my xj and on mine i had to straighten the passenger side and i reused the same old center piece but i also straightened that one, not as good as yours but it worked out!
Ha! Awesome, thank you!! ("Not as good as yours) Me just being a "learning as I go" type a guy, I really appreciate that. Mine wasn't a crash or anything, it was just all the torquing on the bumper when winching. I'm getting a new bumper ... I made the original one, but this time I'm going to buy one. So I'm leaving it there till that shows up. To make sure everything lines up and goes together properly. I'll still need to drill holes yet, but want to use the new braces to put the holes in the right spot. ... Thanks again, it is appreciated. And I'm sure yours is perfect.
Damn I used to have a pretty sweet Xj then one day it got stolen turned out to be the best day of my life tho tbh, watched my bank account climb after that lol but I still really miss it some days when I wanna go out in the bush
I've actually had this XJ for 24 years and it hasn't actually been that bad. This is from winching way too many other people out and finding out they were hung up on a stump ... Three times that happened. But it's mainly been wear and tear stuff ... And on occasion I break it, but she always gets me home
MORE BC EXPLORING!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!! Keep it coming.
Ha ha! Awesome, thanks!
The broom handle never breaks.😂😂
Just gets old after a while
cool custom shirt! you headed to the bc overland rally this year?
Ha! Thank you. It turned out great, I figure. Cool you dig it, thanks. ... Ya, we will be going. Are you going again? Really curious as to the new spot .. or VENUE! Looks really nice
@@explore_off_road yeah think i’ll go again, heard theres a new location but havent seen any pics yet.
It's an actual campsite that holds events as well... So less DUST! I can't remember the name of it. It has Ranch in the name, that's all I remember
🔥
Cool! Thank you
Lol i was like “is that a f@&king turkey?” Lmfao. Great video guys
Hahaha. I just told Krystal about your comment and we are laughing. Thanks guys!
Love the video and I hope you keep it up with showing us more. gotta ask the most jeep question even... what size lift and tire size? That helps us that want to do what you do and what we should have :)
That's awesome thank you, we appreciate that. We do love filming our adventures, so your comment is greatly appreciated! ... As for the Jeeps. The XJ is a 4.5" lift with 33's. My logic there, is so I can deal with almost anything in my way. As for the JLU. No lift and 33's... Though we have a 2.5" lift that we need to install. Thanks again!
It doesn't take a lot to get out there, and it doesn't have to take a lot of money to start. 4x4 of course, and just a good set of tires. Then as one gains experience, you get to start adding all the Goodies ... The fun stuff. As our Wrangler shows, it just has good tires. Though we added the winch bumper, mainly for lighting, but then we can add the winch later ... Ready for future Expansion, I guess you could say.
Awesome job getting out of the ditch!
Thank you. Krystal REALLY enjoyed pulling me out ... As you could probably tell.
Nice video and nice landscape.
Thank you again! It is beautiful back there.
If that’s what u call a 4x4 off road jeep adventure I’m gonna be sick..
It's not Off Reading unless your Rock Crawling, is what your saying?
I can do that in my lowered m3
Oooh! There it is... The infamous comment
Thats awesome. Fabrication is something we want to get into as well. 😊
It is handy as hell. And I found out I actually really like working with Metal. ... I just bought a good Lincoln (story behind that) from KMS Tools ... Then another from Canadian Tire (cuz my other one got stolen) and just started welding things together. Had quite an art piece when I was done! Ha ha You should just give it a go. Then everything just falls into place over time. I've made two bumpers now. And this is going to be a roof rack .... Building things WITHOUT every tool known to man! Hahaha
Front locker only?
No lockers at all.
So when does Krystal's Offroad Recovery go into business?
Hahaha. When I do it again!
what lift x tire size combo you running on the XJ?
I have a 4.5" lift and 33's. Which you may have noticed, there is a bit of rubbing... Which I will deal with soon by doing some trimming.
Nice! Kind of reminds me of and my pops rolling around in my JT and his XJ.
Thank you. That's awesome. Do you still have an off roader?
✌🏼👋🏼🙌🏼
Thank you! And "Peace out!" right back at ya!
Hiy hiy!!
I'm glad it's working well for you!
With help from you! We have since bought other tumblers. It's the perfect tumbler to see if you would actually be into it. Didn't want to pay big money and then have it sit there collecting dust.
Good video - Zahra and Paul @twoheadnorth
Awesome, thank you
What tips did you learn from Michigan rocks?
Pretty much everything. Kinds of grit, how much grit, how long, grinding media, how to get a good shine. He does a whole episode ... Well two... One following their instructions, then another doing it his way. So everything... He is really quite good. We had never done it before, him and his channel were a great help. We are subscribed and still watch his channel.
May the force be with you.
This is the way!
Dude. Love it, I would have done what Crystal did ... Easy route not ready to tip over, and I would NEVER forget my seasoned steaks. Luv you two. 2024 brother 😊
Hahaha Ya, and now I watch the footage and think, "I should have done this way, or that way ." ... I can't believe we forgot the steaks.... "ROOKIES!!"
@@explore_off_road hahahhaha nice areas. Very cool lake you drove past (alot of people).
Ya, it was late in the season, I was hoping it wouldn't be as busy.
I wish cold air intakes had that option 😒....but I can't hate I just use an air intake cover, cool build😎
Thank you
The filter pre filters like the filter socks are the equivalent of that.
If you search Air On Board I think they have socks that would work on cold air intakes.
Can this be installed on a Jeep that has the factory aux switches? I like the looks of the rough country switches better than the factory switches.
You probably could. Where your switches are, you would have to change that out to the RC one. Probably the same process as with ours. Your just removing switches as well.
I’m a jeep guy
Sweet!
Jeep owners thats who
We are in a Jeep
What size tires were you running? Any lift on your jeep?
They are 33 inch and No, no lift yet
Oh, and we have 2.5" lift for it as well. Just need to get around to installing it.
Its so nice to have fires again lol. Nothing better than fall camping imo. Great vid guys 😀
Ooooh! It was so nice to have one again. Cook over the fire .... And it's just part of Camping. Sit around and enjoy the fire.
Where about is this in BC. I’m assuming this is BC, sure looks like it.
@@Ian-of3fuIt's in the southern interior
You’re over torquing your wheel fasteners! Check out the cracks in your 7 0’clock wheel bolt?
I was noticing that ... While I was doing it. That's why Im do it myself from now on I guess. I usually take them to a shop.
Annnnd! You pointed out another lesson for myself and everyone else
Lug bolts are annoying to deal with sometimes on some cars mainly Volkswagen
Ha! I'll find that out soon enough, my daughter bought a Volkswagen
Tapered
I’m behind you at McDonald’s on Hastings lmao
Hahaha! That's funny, Awesome! The white car... Was it white? I remember looking over at you as you drive by. We were in town for a few hours.
Molaaaa
I don't know what that means ... Do I say Thank You?!? The Emoji's make it look like a good thing... So! .... THANK YOU! hee hee
Molaaaa
Thank You!
I live on the Sunshine Coast. You should check it out.
I do want to get up that way. I hear it's beautiful and lots of areas to Explore
It would be so much fun to have an axle break.
That it would! But highly unlikely on this stuff. The trees and most rocks will just bump you around... Use them to help get you around. Tear a sidewall before breakage. Why a good set of tires is also handy.
Nice content. What part of BC do you live in?
Thank you! We appreciate it. We are happy your enjoying it. We are in Southern Interior, but usually explore all over. Start here, end up on the Coast-ish area. That type of thing. This event was in Merritt.
Выруби да эту херню
Ha ha! What crap? Do you drive a Scoda?
Bro when ever u are camping never disclose your cars number plate and the exact location .
Never do. Usually we are just roaming around in random areas that most wouldn't even know where we are or even go. If your talking about the Nahatlach comment ... that doesn't mean anything. We did so many random turns people would get lost.
You in the nahatlatch ?
No, up the other side of the highway. Nahatlach was still burning.
What size
17" wheels and 33's... No lift yet. We have a 2.5" lift we will put on eventually.
Nice, was wondering if you were going to post the BCOR, saw my truck in the background haha
Ya, I had to, it was a good time
You guys have the right idea. Your content will improve as you grow your channel. I moved from BC to Alberta ... Southern Alberta, still close enough to BC for off road adventure. I am commenting because comments and responses get your channel noticed. I am trying to help you get noticed.
We really appreciate your comments, and really appreciate your reasoning behind them. That's awesome of you. ... Oh, and the other reason we do the videos, is because I love every aspect of it. It's fun doing the videography, but I really like the editing side of it as well. Then I can play with my artist side, like designing the logo.
@@explore_off_road I hear you. I like to keep the style of my content my own, but I really admire @DestinationAdventure style of telling a story. I recently went camping with a KZreadr that has 90k subs, He has his style and I have mine, but I did pick up a few tips by observing how he captures his footage. I have been told that I need to have my face in more videos. I would rather be behind the camera and editing than in front of the camera but I am getting my face in more videos. I also have help from my partner, she is pretty good behind the camera and being on camera too.
Why do you want to create KZread videos? I create KZread videos because I love exploring and I want to share the places I go and the things I do. I want to get better at creating videos, do you? BTW You have a great Logo, can I buy a sticker for my Jeep?
We just take the GoPros and film everything just for fun. Kind of like how my parents made Home Movies. And ya, it's because we love to explore and share with people where we go and what we find. We do want to make better videos, and we will find our way eventually. Comes with time. We are also getting more serious about doing them, and having a lot of fun along the way. Thank you for the logo comment. I designed and created it. And if you want a sticker... That's pretty cool, and I'd be honored. I'll GIVE you one.
Hey congratulations! Next goal 1000!
Thank you. I think I'm going to be happy when we get to 200. Hee hee Baby steps... But higher the better.
K now let's see you cut something.
cool trail
The camera never does a trail justice, always smooths it out and doesn't look as aggressive as it really is. Most beginners would look at even the creek crossing and think, "I can't do that!"
Great looking lights and the installation is a great up/down core workout!
Ha ha! Yes it was. It is a pretty sweet setup
Hey cool vid, just subscribed. I’m the guy camped next to you at the overland rally!
Ha ha! Awesome, thank you. It was great to meet you
