The original Coconuts were a class act. Addy Kaegi, Cheryl Poirier, and Taryn Hagey were incredible. I think Taryn left in 1985. Cheryl's singing was the best.

I'm a 234 year old gent, I died 20 years ago, and I'm still listening to this in 2024 WHO WIT ME?!?!? This reminds me of my wife who died five seconds ago and it makes me think of her WHO WIT ME. This song song millions and is so under-rated. I'm a two day old sperm cell swimming up the fallopian tube, and I love this song. Never heard this song until it came on the radio one night in 1981. I immediately popped in a cassette and hit play/record. Got a little bit of the song and cherished it here and there. Finally found out during the 90s what is was. I had a bleak youth. All the kids at my HS only listening to hard rock to the exclusion of all else. They'd get all angry and mean when they listened to it, which I never understood. All their dads made good money back then, in the construction trades. Whad they have to be so angry about? If they'd known I liked music like this and other stuff, they'd have declared me a f_ggot and beat me up.
My fave solo of his (on film) was from "Don't Take My Coconuts" I believe it was also a UK show, extended solo....fantastic.

Lee was not only a tremendous musician but a wonderful Human Being. I was very good friends with Lee when i lived on Long Island from 2001 -2009...After moving to Westchester County, NY we just lost touch as life gets busy. I too am wondering what he passed from. I sure would like to know. Lee was a great friend. RIP Professor Lee ❤️

In the time that you were together especially after the gold album is this the only live show that was recorded or is it the only recorded show that survived. If this the only show recorded I respectfully ask why? You guys were incredible.
Think about how much cooler January 6 would have been if my man here, had showed up at the Capitol that day and jitterbugged his way through the crowd while pulling this stunt. You show up, blast this song, make everyone smile and dance around for a few minutes...history looks a h3lluva lot different. Music's the answer, folks. It always is.
