Learning through Landscapes
Learning through Landscapes
Learning through Landscapes helps children to connect with nature, become more active, learn outdoors, develop social skills and have fun.
We do this through three avenues:
· advocating the benefits of outdoor learning and play at school and pre school.
· inspiring and enabling the design and development of outdoor environments to support children's development.
· inspiring and enabling teachers and early years practitioners to develop the confidence, ideas and skills they need to make better use of outdoor spaces.
We aim to reach all schools and settings in England, Scotland and Wales. Our staff work in the three home nations. In England we operate as Learning through Landscapes, in Wales we operate as LTL Cymru and in Scotland as Grounds for Learning.

I am delighted that David Attenborough is supporting this campaign, well done Learning through Landscapes! Our new book Learning with Nature helps outdoor practitioners, families and teachers to spend time outdoors, to know it, so that ultimately they want to care for nature! Our collective voice can make change that is needed.
Such a great thought provoking clip. Thanks for taking the time to create and share.
Great to finally watch this - will share everywhere!
Our new campaign, led by Sir David Attenbourough, on the need to protect school grounds and the need for children to engage with nature. Please share this with everyone.
SHows what child-led free play is all about
This is a great idea. As a homechool I did this every day in my back yard.
This video has been very helpful for me as a teacher, thanks for uploading!!
Awesome! I would've LOVED to play on one of these as a kid! The little round hidey hole looks like a hobbit hole.
Great video! It's funny, though: this is what my homeschoolers do every day. :)
Excellent active approach to numeracy. It brings it to life and takes away the abstract aspects of numeracy.
Excellent idea on how we can bring numeracy alive!
Scottish accents are the coolest around! Good idea also!
This is a lovely video. Alain Kane is an outstanding artist who works with schools. It's great to finally see him on video!
This is a lovely positive film clip about outdoor physics.
A lovely coverage of the March 2010 conference which I missed ;(
