    Have a 94 park Ave ultra that hesitates to go over 4000 rpm and has some backfiring going on as well, will check maf sensor, change the fuel filter, Injection pressure regulator ,change the TPS and perform a exhaust back pressure test.

    @@WheelersHoarder I will take that recommendation and perform the test. Will change sparkplugs and wires to have a good baseline to go from. So i watched this video and immediately regretted accepting one of these in my shop 😢.....but it can be done without removal of the exhaust manifold i jumped on the interwebs to read horror after horror of every stud snapped etc etc being a master tech with a gigantic shop at my disposal surely helped but removal of the manifold was not an option for this round customer needed the vehicle back today by 5pm so 7:30 am the starter and passenger mount was out engine was lifted to its max d-side mount disconnected and comes the time to remove the old dipstick from the block....in the rustbelt of northern VA it wasn't budging i decided to use a matching diameter course tap with a large nut welded to the top for something to hit with my air hammer....im sure a pry bar with a mini sledge would work if you don't have air available but trust me the air hammer made quick work of the removal.....onto installation the exhaust was never touched during installation i grabbed another tech from our shop while i fed it in from the side removing the pass inner fender is key......give credit where its due that was my guys idea now once its in behind the manifold....you absolutely have to send that new dipstick hard 😂 but it will fit behind the manifold with zero modification once its past the manifold or behind it should i say he had to push the tube hard towards the driver side to catch the area of the block were it lives after that it gets stuck loosely place vice grips around the bottom of the tube so you dont crush it and smack down on the vice grips with a mini sledge in it will go bolt it to the block and reverse the process your done happy and you didn't snap the exhaust studs opening pandoras box of new problems 😉 we had to then feed a new transmission tube since of course that was snapped as well now if the engine is still up with the mounts disconnected the transmission tube is a piece of cake just here to tell anyone how it can be accomplished and saying that it is definitely not user friendly but for sure doable

    Hey There, do you have a Video of how Bad it was Smoking? My 7.3 powersmoke is Smoking Blue After coldstart massivly. It is getting „better“ if you Drive it. If you Are idling, it is starting Smoking Blue. The smoke is extremely stinky. So I think my valve stem seals are Bad, too. Regards!

  • @WheelersHoarder
    @WheelersHoarderАй бұрын

    I will find the video , it depends on the smell is it diesel or oil , mine did smell like burnt oil , in that case also check your cdr before suspecting the valves seals, if does smell like diesel it is usually more white , first try make sure you go through the return lines and check air intrusion , if still smokes and can see it coming out the exhaust at certain puffs periodically usually can be a leaky injector if nothing changes with the smoke pattern check your IP timing ,

  • @danonebiker
    @danonebikerАй бұрын

    Injector already Changed, Injector Cups new, compression ok, but Smoking Blue as hell After coldstart. After 5-10 Minutes Smoking Blue it will stop. If you come back to light throttle it is Smoking Blue again. The while car is smelling Like Burning oil. All the time. So i think the valve stem seals Are the last thing That i can change. Regards!

    The tailgate on my 2007 4Runnner is starting to rust towards the bottom. It's got maybe a 0.5 inch separation of panel seems on the bottom edge in one particular spot (about about 6-8" long). My intention is to use some kind of filler there, roughly sand it, apply POR15 over it, then rustoleum paint over that to stop the bleeding (rusting) as much as I can. I was originally thinking the short strand fiberglass would be best since there is a bit of panel separation, but wondering if I should just use the standard filler or the gold?

  • @WheelersHoarder
    @WheelersHoarder2 ай бұрын

    That sounds like you got a good plan there , the most difficult part about the job is when you sand it make sure you take your time , a regular filler is enough to use instead paying more . And surely the paint matching part can be a pain in the ass

  • @PapaP86
    @PapaP862 ай бұрын

    @@WheelersHoarder Not really concerned about the paint matching since it's on the bottom edge, it's not really visible. Even if it were, not overly concerned about that as the car's far from perfect with its age and 250k+ miles

    Does it smell like rotten eggs? Usually when the cat burns it smells so bad , most likely your throttle body was not running properly and the fuel mixture was bad and rich and that what usually burn the cat .
