    Hello, i know this is an old video but I hope you can respond to my comment. I purchased 13% tca peel about a month and a half ago, and I have used it successfully once, its been a few weeks since then and I decided to do my second round. Accept this time I did 2 layers on my face and then spot treatment on my problem areas. It resulted on a good amount of frosting on said problem areas, but its been a few hours and when I look in the mirror the places that I did the spot treatment are really dark. For context I am a black woman, and the places I did the spot treatment are super dark and Its scaring me. Have I burned myself? It doesn't hurt and whenever i search for burns on black skin they do not look like what I have on my face but I cant help but be scared. Its a very low percentage of TCA and I didn't do many layers, so i am confused on how dark the areas have become and I'm really really hoping I haven't burned myself. I used a q-tip to do the spot treatment and maybe there was too much on the q-tip, but when i applied it i didn't feel a lot of pain, so I am really confused. Please help me

    Hello. You should Not use the TCA 30 with Indian skin. Please be very careful. Start with a melanin inhibitor like our Fade Bright for 4 weeks. And prep with a lotion like Triple Treat. STOP use 4-6 days prior to applying your peel. To help with excess pigmentation choose jessners. Start with no more than 2 layers.

    Can you do the 30% if it’s your very first chemical peel?

  • @PlatinumSkinCare
    @PlatinumSkinCare11 күн бұрын

    That depends on a few factors. 1. Your skin color. If it is very light the 30 can be recommended. The darker your skin the lower the % of acid should be. 2. Your skin is not thin or crepey. The thinner your skin is the milder the % you need to be choosing.

  • @PlatinumSkinCare
    @PlatinumSkinCare11 күн бұрын

    Mandelic is a very very mild peel. You may see some dryness and a few flakes with this acid. Do not expect a lot of shedding. Average times for any peel are 3-5 days to Start and another 3-5 to Finish. So by day 6 you are most likely done with this. Remember this is a cumulative peel with little to no downtime. Do one every 1-2 weeks for a series of 6-8 peels. Take photos! Even though there is such low downtime .. the results are THERE! :)

    I posted this on the Platinum Skin Care Facebook group, and it was removed by the admin. I am appaled by such control of posts: Does anybody have an issue with the High Octane Vitamin C Serum POMP? Mine stopped working after a few days, so the idea of having a clean product each day is gone since I have to open the bottle to get the serum out. I have tried everything I could think of but it still does not pomp the serum. Any suggestions? I am not planning to repurchase this serum, unless they fix the pomp problem, or switch to a regular container..." Very shameful behavior!!

    Hello. Our Facebook group is for helping customers to learn about the products. Helping to choose what to apply and other such means. Any customer service questions Must go to [email protected] The group is not for this purpose. It is in the rules that are agreed to when you join our group. Any post that is deleted - you are messaged as to why - and then told how you can get help with your issue. *We do not just delete randomly or without help offered or a reasoning listed. You can give your product/jar a SHAke Shake Shake. It may not be settled into the depressed area where the airless nub dips INTO. Generally that fixes it. See this post: platinumskincare.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/25110306342291-My-airless-pump-on-my-Vitamin-C-is-not-working-HELP 1. The jar that the vitamin C in is ... a jar. It has a pump on the top that you can use. If for some reason it is not pumping .. you can definitely just open the jar and dab a bit on your finger. This is exactly what we have done for years - prior to this jar. The product is 100% sturdy and will be just fine with a clean finger. :) 2. We switched to this airless jar thinking it would alleviate all of the emails we received regarding how the product can be runny and then thick/clumpy ... it naturally changes form without the water. Well - we just switched from one reason to email to another reason to email. LOL. We can either go back to the original jar - which we do NOT want to do .. or find another container. This product can not be pumped by any tube pump. It can not be used with a dropper. It doesn't seem to work perfectly with an airless as well. We are looking into a tottle that can 1. be squeezed and 2. Not seen by the customer. So we are hoping this will work for us. At the end of the day - it is a jar. It can be opened and closed without any harm to the product. We hope that you will just use it in that original form until another solution is presented. The product is the same. :)

    Hello from Philippines, I have Asian pale skin. I have been using Hydroquinone (2%) cream that also has Tretinoin (0.5%) at the same time I also use toner with same percentage of Hydroquinone & Treninoin, sometimes I also use kojic soap but I don't regularly as it is drying & kinda hurts. This is all from the same brand called Brilliant Skin Essentials. This can be bought as package. I first used it to my face then I started using it on my bikini, sometimes it hurts when it peels that's why I rest on using kojic everyday (is there anything I can do to relieve the irritation when it peels?), I live in teopical country so it is usually dump in my bikini due to sweat so I cannot use moisturizer. Since I am already using Hydroquinone with 2%, would that be enough as melanin inhibitor although the barnd that I am using has tretinoin and alsready caused peeling? I am thinking on starting on Jeesners or Glycolic 20% for every two weeks, I am planning to also do this to my leg oarts that has scars, my face maybe and to my underarm before moving to 50% or stronger percentage. Can I still use the toner I am using that has Hydroquinone & Tretinoin once I started with the Acid peel. May you suggest the best Acid peel for my hyperpigmentation based on my case? What percentage should I start with, can I apply it every two weeks or what would be the best time interval & when can I increase the acid percentage after starting off with 20% on glycolic or I can do jessners? Or just whatever acid & percentage should best for me to start for my face, underarms, legs and specifically on my bikini. I never wore bikini and I am in my 20s and I seriously just want to start enjoying my body. Thank you 💐

    I did neutralize the glycolic. I used water. :) Water has a pH of around 7. The peel was an 0.7 .. so that was all I needed to neutralize it. TCA does not require a neutralizer .. it is self-neutralizing. That takes around 5 minutes and we can just rinse it off when that time has elapsed.

    Hi I'm curious why a 20% tca can be layered up to five times but all over 30% in one layer is a no-no? When applying the 7, 13 and 20 percent acids what percent does it increase with each layer?. Love your products by the way 🤩

  • @PlatinumSkinCare
    @PlatinumSkinCare11 күн бұрын

    If you are layering TCA 20 5+ times ... then a TCA 30 peel is just fine. IF ... IF you have reached that (and this is not common and would generally take years of peeling) then you can probably add on a 2nd layer. Keep in mind that the 30% is very very strong. You are really intensifying the strength of that peel by applying More than a single layer. It is not safe and can cause unintended color changes with the skin. Use extreme caution. I can not stress that enough.

See here: www.platinumskincare.com/are-you-ready-for-advanced-peeling-methods/ TCA 20 is NOT a starter peel. It is an Advanced, and very Strong acid. Do NOT start here. Begin with TCA 7 or 13 on your face. 1-2 layers MAX. The next month you can add on One more layer. Then the next month you can add on One more layer ... if you wish. Many are content with 2 or 3 or .... however many layer. It is not a Race to apply More and Stronger. Take your time. This is a journey.

Once it is done flaking... and your skin is feeling normal again - then you can start use again.

    I just did 5 layers of the 14% peel . It stung but nothing that was intolerable . However I have a question. Is it normal to feel like a numbing effect like 20 mins after applying the peel ? I couldn't tell if it was just the acid penetrating the skin or something else so I applied a mixture of baking soda and water and it stopped . Did this stop the peel from doing its job . I have done a couple of strong peels in the past many years ago and they had amazing results. Also can I start another one next week ? My plan was to do 4 all together,week to week

So the baking soda was not needed - nor was any rinsing. Next time leave it on. ... and no need for baking soda. Just water is fine. :) ****IF you are applying 5 layers of Jessners - you can NOT do this weekly. You need to wait 4-5 weeks before you do another one. Please see your Peel manual.

    @@ibelieve98 It really depends on WHY you are doing a peel as to what acid is going to be best for your needs. Jessners is used for 2 things predominantly - Hyperpigmentation and Acne. TCA is usually used for aging skin, scars and general improvements. They are BOTH layered peels. With TCA though there are different percentages to choose from. 1. Prep your skin for 1 month. Use retinoids, acid (cleanser/toner OR serum), antioxidants and SPF. IF you have darker skin (Olive or darker) then use a melanin inhibitor like our Fade Bright or Hydrocortisone to lessen your chances of getting PIH. 7 for sensitive skin or those looking for a milder peeling. 13 for normal skin. 20 - is ONLY if you have been applying 5+ layers of 13 and are wanting stronger. 30 - is ONLY for dilution or treating scars ... possibly body peels on Fitz 1, 2 or 3 skin. The darker your skin the lighter the % you need to choose. The thinner your skin the lighter the % you need to choose.
