I was at a wrestling tournament today and I was running down the bleachers lost control and did a cartwheel. I landed on my head out the Harwood floor. I am feeling like throwing up so I had my mother bring me a bowl if I need to throw up. I think I might have a concussion.
Hi !! Help me out🙏 I am a high school student from MIT and my friends, and I were playing a world's craziest game involving rapidly whipping our heads back and forth. I aggressively accelerated and decelerated my head, forcefully in whiplash like manner, lashing it around in an attempt to win. Afterwards, I experienced an intense and unfamiliar headache, almost like the sensation from a wound or cut. I also felt confused mentally. Feeling awkward to ask others about the question? Did I possibly suffer a concussion from this self-inflicted head trauma? And if so, is it likely I lost some neurons due to stretching and tearing?
this makes me feel so dumb
U forgot mono ocular convergence
I had a football game today and I am 12 and I was tackling someone and their lead blocker after I tackled the kid with the ball the lead blocker came and jumped on the back of my head
How do I take test? i see vi

Hi, thanks for the video, for the tandem stance shouldn`t the non-dominant foot be placed in the back?
Yea I’m doing this in school it sucks
What a shitty elitist thing to say. Underprivileged communities absolutely should be able to engage in athletics. Delete this video

She should not smile while talking about concussions. That's stupid.
Hey my school uses this video for concussion protocol
I would like this testing done on me and theraphy to follow. Its 2023 and 2019 concussion. Ontario Canada. Anyone ?
Might be worth seeing a shrink first
With catastrophic life altering injuries i agree that is important. TBI should never be taken lightly.
I am experiencing a concussion right now
How does this prevent a brain injury?
It doesn’t, it just prevents it from worsening. You take a test, then after, when you’re at the clinic, you RETAKE the test to see if you worsened, and if so, get treatment
@@verycherrycolaMy pediatrician told us that they don't get a copy of this test so they do their own standard evaluation.

So cool. Great explanation. But then, my question would be, how to use the value we obtained from the score? We get a number, then what?... Cheers!
Probably need a base test I guess or you can compare against averages for that age range
Nice Hickey !

I wonder which functional neurologist you saw ??
Hi Thanks for this video. Can concussion cause low iron levels, light muscle weakness, brain fog.
I can't even concentrate on anything. People that talk to me I can't even keep up with what they're saying. It's hard to write and draw when it used to be so easy. I have blurry vision.
Damn u gonna die bri
Okay so I just found out I’m concussed
when i saw him get the letters wrong, I felt bad for him
My Football teams QB threw the football full force to our receiver and my head got in the way. Hit right in the temple. Blacked out for three seconds and woke up on the ground. Head hurt like a bitch and my behavior changed significantly. Went from cracking jokes and having fun to quiet and dazed.
Here’s my story I was on the kickoff team in football this past Friday night and when I went to hit the dude he lowered his shoulder and so did I but I went flying on top of him and getting slammed to the ground and right after that I couldn’t remember what happened and the next morning I woke up with a massive headache
Why she smiling tho
I was wondering if its cuz she got that hicky
Thanks for the video. Very helpful I just finished watching 2 different hour lectures that included descriptions of how to do this and I could not figure it out. This video put it all together for me in a manner I can easily use in my clinic.
So great to hear!
1 week later and my head is banging and im still not getting help I could have a bleed on the brain NHS don't give a crap

@@ImPACTTest thanks for replying but after scoring how will we correlate values. What score indicates vor problem?? I'm not getting that point. After scoring does we sum up all the scores like we do in other tests??

I got mugged the other night. Someone snuck me and I fell and hit my head on the concrete. All I remember is seeing 3 people. Don’t remember anything for about 2 hours after that. Don’t know how many times they hit me. They got my phone and wallet. Doc said I have a concussion but no brain swelling/bleeding or anything. For anyone wondering, this is how I felt and still feel 5 days later. The first 1-3 days or so I had a TERRIBLE headache and it was localized to the side I hit my head on the concrete. Sensitivity to light. Nausea was pretty bad. I also had no appetite at all until late on day 3. My gf’s mom made steaks the first night after and I could only eat about 3-4 bites (I’m 6’3” and 210lbs, so I have a decent appetite normally.) Couldn’t even eat bacon and eggs the day after. I felt very disconnected from everyone, almost like when you tune out of a convo and snap back onto it, except you don’t snap back in. I noticed that i had trouble putting together/annunciating words. Almost like when you’re buzzed or like you’re just waking up. Even my mom said something about it when I called her on the phone. OH I also felt and still feel VERY depressed. Obviously the whole event was traumatic, but I think the concussion makes it worse because you’re kind of confused and foggy. Also anxiousness. Makes it hard to think rationally and get out of the funk. Today is day 5. I’m still feeling fatigued. Headache is not as bad, but I still feel a slight ache up top. My JAW hurts very badly, but I think it’s from getting hit there, not from the concussion. Hurts to open wide to yawn, brush my teeth, or to chew. I still feel like my vision is a little out of focus. Not too bad, but enough to notice. It’s kind of like it’s hard to perceive depth, like a camera that’s a little out of focus. I’m still feeling difficulty recalling things. Feels like I have to think a little harder to surface information. Sleep has been strange. Some nights I’m exhausted and can’t keep my eyes open but the past 2 nights I’ve been unable to fall asleep - my mind is racing and I can’t calm it down. Probably trauma more than anything. But yeah, these are some of my symptoms with my experience. If you hit your head hard and feel anything similar, go get checked out. They can’t do anything for a concussion really, and it’s usually diagnosed by symptoms, BUT they can do a CT scan and check for bleeding/fractures. So go do that. Stay away from video games, electronics, mentally stimulating tasks, and just rest your brain. He told me a little is fine, but stop if you get a headache. My doc said treat it like a sprained ankle - don’t overuse it, rest, give it a chance to heal! Stay safe everyone! I hope if any of you have a concussion that you recover without any hiccups and get plenty of rest! Much love, better days ahead.

Here’s my story. So today I was playing shortstop at a softball tournament it was the first game of the second day and this girl was up to bat she hit a line drive right towards my face and I blacked out for a few seconds next thing I remember I was on the ground I had no idea what happened before that I basically lost my memory then the first thing that occurred was my jaw I felt like it was broken because I couldn’t talk all I could do was breathe and I couldn’t move it at all it was stuck. Then when I got into the dugout I said that I had a headache my dad asked me if I was tired I said no and a few minutes after that I start to be tired why it was really sensitive to me like when it got really bright I could barely keep my eyes open I felt dizzy and not focused I barely remember what happened then after I got hit in the head I was on second base and I was running and the shortstop person ran straight into me and I fell on the floor face first hitting my jaw and my head on the floor and then I had a straight up like a panic attack and now I’m feeling all of the symptoms a lot worse.

If you get hit on the head DO NOT start being active the next day! I hit my head bad, and 5 to 6 says later is when symptoms started to REALLY appear. When you hit your head, please REST.

Physio from Canada here. Great video! Question about this series of tests...which patient population would this be best suited for other than concussion? WAD? People with nausea/dizziness? Also what is a good resource for treatment if the patient experiences symptoms?
