  • @Allknowingkeith
    @Allknowingkeith17 күн бұрын

    Top it with tree leaves during the fall. Eventually the soil will get moist and worms will come. You won’t have to add water. The leaves will break down and you can just top with more leaves. I have a bin with used potting soil, topped with enough leaves. The worms will clean, pH, and provide nutrients to the soil. Throw the sifter away.

  • @jfrylettingyouknow2499
    @jfrylettingyouknow249916 күн бұрын

    Thanks for the tips! Don't have enough tree leaves for that, maybe boxes will work. I thought I was doing something with the sifter LOL!

  • @Allknowingkeith
    @Allknowingkeith16 күн бұрын

    @@jfrylettingyouknow2499 Ja. No problem. That’s a good idea. But, I would wait till fall and use fall tree leaves. It’s a patience thing. Eventually the fall leaves will disintegrate and you’ll have to add more fall leaves. Key is to feed it fall tree leaves. Don’t put anything like fruit, dead flowers, etc that would bring critters and spiders. Keep it clean with leaves. Only fall leaves is the key to provide a great ecosystem. Keep enough fall leaves where you don’t need a lid. You’ll see if you like experimenting.

    Nice video , I have a raised garden myself and I ordered what I thought at first was the exact garden mesh net as yours until you opened up the box I was like oh mines very different. I haven’t installed it yet but when I do I was going to get about six small bricks to hold down the fabric after I lay it across. I like the staples idea too. Thanks for sharing and also new Subbie here too 😊
