Dogs have dichromatic vision (only 2 primary colors are visible), while humans have trichromatic vision (3 primary colors visible). So, yes, compared to a human, they are indeed blind to colors that we can see. I guess I didn't watch the video, but I think enough people missed the mark to the supposed discussion that I had to point that out.

Even if dogs are color blind or see limited differences. It won't really matter because canines have 250-300 million scent receptors that can identify scent differences between toys, environmental and people etc dogs nose is their superpower

This information is misleading. Yes, they can lick for those reasons. However, licking is also a way of them grooming you like you're another dog (pack member), it's way bonding (affection) and it can be way of them telling you I'm ill. So don't be telling people those are the reasons some will think they're the only reasons. Maybe instead explain how to tell what the difference is between those licks. Idiot channel, you'll have people telling their dogs off when the dog is just showing affection or, worse, telling you it's ill if licking always gets them told off they're not going to do it to say they're ill ffs. If anyone doesn't like face licks, simply ignore the behaviour the dog will get bored and learn this doesn't get me the attention I want. But they'll still lick things to tell you they're ill. Also, many other behaviours have multiple meanings depending on how and when the dog expresses them (Giving out half facts so stupidly irresponsible)
