The tech industry became an enormous scam over the last decade or so. It's another scam in a long line of scams in the United States. Young people were fed an enormous lie for a varying length of their childhood. They were told to get computer science and other STEM degrees because there was enormous demand for programmers all across the economy--everywhere. The industry is full of nepotism. It's a natural tendency, but in the tech industry, it's amplified. This is because there are a lot of hacks at tech companies who serve in upper and executive management. They make hiring mistakes and then fail to terminate employees who are obviously not fitting the requirements of the role. Hence people mostly only hire people they know. The other problem the tech industry and information technology is foreign workers. Corporations like to hire people on visas for a number of reasons. These people tend to be good workers and in general good people to live around; however, they tend to follow the same patterns of nepotism. Business in the United States revolves around investors--stock markets and other sorts of investments. This the the main economic activity of the US, and unfortunately it has fallen short. Hundreds of thousands were put of out work over concern over stock prices, AI futures, and other nonsense. The system in the United States has exploited young people. It is heinous and it is beyond anything that can be corrected with debt cancellation alone. This is a crime against the people of the United States itself. The only reason that more don't realize it is because the mass media serves to divide the public against itself, which is another crime. There is really no remedy for this besides nationalization of most sectors of the economy, along with the liquidation of the personal assets of most public executives, venture capitalists, et cetera. Congress--fully complicit with this attempt to indenture the public should face a similar fate--imprisonment and asset forfeiture. There is no other acceptable answer to the enslavement of people with debt they can never repay. Once you see reality and come to understand that it's not bad luck behind your misfortune, you'll understand the imperative the mission ahead of us.
