hello you should double check on the mechanical side around the paper feeding area, example you need to chek if the pick0up rubber roller, maybe it is already worn-out, or maybe it is misaligned, or maybe you need to check if the pick-roller is not rotating. you need to check also maybe the cassette paper lefter is not working. it really needs to visual inspection and find the faulty in that area first.

The root cost of the issue is the ink mist suck by the exhaust fan scattered inside the machine, and since the ink mist is scattered inside it also affects all the encoder wheel sensors. So to solve the problem we need to cleaned all the sensors and all encoder wheel senssors. much better also to make a hole in the plastic back cover so that the exhaust can exit direct from the inside of the machine. You make the cut directly where the excahuse outlet is located.

First you should check the document sensor actuation lever for possible misaligned, blower the sensor itself for possible dust, check wiring connection, update firmware, or worst try to isolated the board where the sensor is connected.

Hi Thank you for your video. It is very helpful. I have HP pagewide 556 the printer prints nothing/blank and I cleaned the print haed by tissue with print head cleaning solution from backside /removing ICU/ then some part has been printed black and very fem magenta printed. I used print head level one and two cleaning and i got no change. Can you help me please how I can clean print head manually ? Thank you

double image, there is a big possibility that there is a misalignment of the colors, it could be the cause is in the laser scanner misaligned of mirrors inside. or maybe the main drive assy is problemtic

We are not really familiar with the HP inkjet printer but mostly in a scanner failure problem. you need to check on the flat flex cable of the scanner bulb. you may cut the end of the flex cable so that the contacts will be fix

The scanner bulb failed to find it's home position, double check on the mechanical parts of the scanner assy it might be stocked up, check also the flat flex cable of the scanner bulb, or cleaned the white strip home position for the scanner under the platen glass.... or try to isolate the issue. it is related to the scanner assembly

You may use my method of fixing.. clean all the encoder sensor it will help removed the error.

Cleaned with alcohol to remove the ink residue stick in the encoder wheel or encoder sensor. but be careful not to use a strong alcohol agent because it might erase the encoder lines.

Hi I am getting a paper jam error on start up as well in a 477 but not an exact error code, I see are pointing at the clear encoder disk, but I dont really understand what you did. Can you elaborate in a comment? I assume that the disk is dirty and needs to clean?

Usually for pagewide models you just need to clean almost all of the encoder sensor
